How To Apply False Eyelashes

Most of us are not blessed with long dark , thick eyelashes, so we need to know how to apply false eyelashes.

They are either to short or don’t exist. Eyelashes are an important feature and asset to the overall look of ones face. They don’t only filter out dust but also act as frames that can open and brighten your eyes.

We all spend endless hours trying to find the perfect mascara to create a false eye lash look. Some of us even spend quite a bit of money on eye leash extensions. Most women don’t want to spend the hefty price on eyelash extensions. An easy and cheaper way to get gorgeous lashes is by applying false eyelashes.

I am sure most of you out there don’t know much about false eyelashes or even how to apply them. Learning how to apply false eyelashes is a great tip to know. When going out for a night out on the town, a special occasion, or even for an ordinary days look false eyelashes can make you look and feel like a celebrity.

The easiest way to start off is with a full set of lashes. Individual lashes require a very steady hand so I suggest you start off practicing and perfecting full sets at first. I would also suggest you try them out at home first and get used to wearing them as well as seeing how much adhesive is needed to last you through whatever event they’re going to be needed for

First and most important step is to make sure your eyelids are clean. The adhesive glue will not stick if there is any oil on the eyelid. You should make sure you use an oil free based make up remover.
You then to choose colour and length . For a natural look go with a colour that matches your own shade of lashes. False eyelashes are often long so you can trim them to the desired length and width. Make sure to trim them little by little. To make sure they fit before you apply the glue hold them on your eyelid and see how well they fit across.
Make sure to curve them across your eyelid. Also don’t allow thm to extend past your eyelid as this will be very uncomfortable.
This is when it becomes a little bit tricky. Add the adhesive to the false lashes. A safe way of doing this is by applying some glue onto a piece of paper and then use a toothpick to put it onto the lashes. Then allow the adhesive/glue to become a little sticky so wait about a minute and then apply to your own lash line. NEVER apply the glue directly onto your own eye or lashes.
While looking in the mirror apply the lashes from the inside corner of eye working your way out. If you feel like your fingers will get in the way you can use tweezers to help.
If however you are using single lashes or clumps you start from the outside and move in to create a natural look.
Once your lashes are stuck, take an eyelash curler and curl your lashes along with the false ones to create more of a natural look. You can also add a line of line of liquid liner over both to unify your new lashes. No mascara is needed.

To remove your lashes:

Please remember your eyelids are very sensitive and you don’t want to damage them. Never pull them off without the use of makeup remover and please remember to be gentle. By using eye makeup remover the oil will loosen the strip of lashes and will be easier to take off. Allow the remover to soak for a little bit. Some lashes you can use again so follow the care instructions that come with the lashes. Be sure to pull off all remaining glue.

Be carefull not to make a habit of wearing false lashes too often as they can cause infections or irritation due to the adhesives used.
