I was very generously sent the new Cherubs Makeup Remover Wipes to review after completing a survey on Beauty Bulletin, intrigued by a new offering in the category.

I was also kindly sent a couple of extra packs of wipes, plus their cotton pads and cotton buds.

The Eco-Facial Wipes come either in a pack of 24 or a pack of 60. There are also three variants: normal (blue), oily / combination (pink) and sensitive / dry (purple). Whilst the 24 pack comes with a stickable seal (perfect to take it around with you), I do like that the 60 pack comes with the stickable seal and a lid despite it being bulkier.

All of the wipes are lightly fragranced, they are gentle on the skin, are pH balanced, alcohol and paraben free and, best of all, are biodegradable!

The variant for normal skin contains rooibos & papaya extract rich in powerful anti-oxidants, keeping skin hydrated. The one for oily / combo skin contains lemon, ivy & sage extract to reduce oiliness, hydrate skin, and prevent localized drying in combination skin whereas the sensitive / dry variant contains sea fennel & chamomile extract to soothe skin, keeping it moisturised and hydrated.

I can vouch for all of their claims, my only gripe with the wipes? They are sadly ineffective at removing makeup. That's kinda the whole point of the wipes, so not worth the buy in my opinion. However, the thing that this experience has taught me, Cherubs is an awesome brand and I so appreciate that they produce biodegradable products!

Now, one thing you may not know about me, I have baby wipes and anti-bacterial wipes with me almost everywhere. I have them in my makeup room, in my car, in my desk drawer, in my gym bag, in my airplane cosmetics bag and in my handbag. I am so impressed with the Cherubs brand that I am now going to replace all of my current baby wipes with Cherubs!

Despite this review being based around the makeup wipes, the real stars for me are the cotton pads and cotton buds! I did not know that cotton pads weren't biodegradable (I am ashamed, no need for hate please)?! I have been flushing cotton pads (not buds though) for years! So, I am also now switching to both the Cherubs cotton pads and buds. Added bonus? The cotton pads are super soft and effective for both removing makeup or nail polish.

I am so proud of this South African brand and will definitely be using the brand going forward as well as recommending them to all my friends! It's unfortunate that I don't find the makeup removal wipes very effective (and I've used enough brands in the past to be able to compare) but this experience has introduced me to a brand that I never would have tried before, until maybe when I have a child in the future.

Wipes are every woman’s bestie when it comes time to remove the make up. It’s quick and easy to use. The new packaging with the clip opening is super cute and makes usage so much easier.

My only concern is that the wipes itself aren’t as moist as a few other brands but the fact that cherubs caters for all skin types makes up for that. I have a combination skin and it really worked with my skin instead of against it.

Cherubs face wipes for the win!!!

I'm so impressed with the effectiveness of these lightly fragranced eco-facial wipes! I've been using the Cherubs Eco-Care Make-Up Remover Facial Wipes for Oily / Combination Skin and I just love that they reduce oiliness, prevent dryness and improve micro-circulation. It's also good to know that they are pH balanced, alcohol and paraben free aaaaand they're are biodegradable which means they're kind on the skin & planet! They leave the skin clean, fresh and hydrated.

Have really enjoyed using the Cherubs Normal range. I love that the scent is so subtle. The wipes are well saturated and that makes for quick and easy makeup removal. Then instructions said there was no need to wash off after wiping but I personally preferred to rinse with water so I could apply my serums and night cream after. I also didn’t like the feeling of the residue that remains after wiping as it was slightly sticky. I was pleasantly surprised that they have made a variety of wipes to suit different skin types! Overall a great experience, I plan on repurchasing these as they work very well.

I recently had my friends try out the wipes and they were so impressed! The wipes are affordable and get the job done well. I highly recommend this for everyone, especially makeup artists who go through makeup wipes on clients frequently

For someone that is always on the go, this product is ideal. You can literally freshen up in-between appointments. As a fashion stylist, I also got to use the product to deal with fluff on garments and wipe off lipstick and so on.

There were a few things I wasn't too crazy about though.

The pros:
- Love the packaging, and the size of it too. Easy to carry around in your handbag.
- Love the clip, will definitely prevent the wipes from drying out.
- Love that there are options for days your skin is normal or oily
- Love that its not soggy when you pull it out the pack
- Love the smell

The cons:
- I cant use the wipe around my eyes or to remove eye makeup. I think it could be the fragrance, because previous fragrant wipes were harsh around my eyes too
- Too many wipes come out with the one you pulling on (especially on the packs without the clip)

That is all from me.

Should they produce a non-fragrant wipe, then I would defs buy it. However, overall its been a pleasure using the product on the rest of my face.

From the past weekend and for the duration of this week I have made use of my facial wipes everyday. To remove my make-up and to cleanse my skin after a long day.

I’m am highly impressed with the effectiveness of the wipes, from past experiences if I did not remove my make-up properly I would wake up in the morning with puffy eyes and by the end of the week I would be stuck with a major breakout because of how sensitive my skin is. I am currently using the sensitive facial wipes because I do suffer from eczema but using the wipes has not affected my skin in any way.

The product is effective as I use a maximum of two wipes to clean my face completely. The first to remove the make-up and the second to cleanse completely and clear any left behind make-up. In the mornings I do not wake up with my eyes puffy at all.

The resealable Cherubs facial wipes are convenient and it is my on the go pack, that I can in my bag when I’m not at home.

I have been using these wipes for a few days now and I am really impressed!
This range has two different types of wipes for different skin types; I have been using the one for dry skin as my skin is more dry.
I have found the wipes work really well for my skin as they do not dry my skin out. the wipes are quite moist which allows the makeup to break down easily without having to pull and drag at my skin. The wipes have a pleasant smell but nothing that would bother you or stay on your face for too long. I have also found that even just wiping your skin with these in the heat helps keep your skin hydrated and clean. The packaging has allowed me to keep the wipes neatly stored in my handbag. Along with this I use the Cherubs Cotton Pads to further clean my skin and remove any excess makeup.

This range has really impressed me due to it's effectivity along with it's price. These wipes are much more affordable to others on the market. I highly recommend these if you are looking for a simple effective product.

Upon receiving the package from Beauty Bulletin and Cherubs, I immediately fell in love with the packaging.
The packaging is matte and soft touch, with a plastic clip lid which allows the product to last longer without drying out. I also like that there are packets of 60 and then packets of 24.
I also received the earbuds and cotton pads which are great, affordable basics.

What I like - The price, effectiveness, packaging and convenience
What I don't like - The size and thickness of the individual wipe.

These products have a lovely and fresh feel. The packaging is clean and vibrant with a neat layout, however, would like to see more diverse models!

The clip lid makes this product extremely convenient as it maintains the freshness of the product as well preserving the life of the product!

I received my Cherubs package yesterday morning, from the get go I was impressed with the product. I love the clip lid, because a problem that I’ve experienced with wipes is that it drys out quickly if not resealed properly. The product had a fresh floral smell.

Before starting my daily routine, I cleansed my face making use of the Facial Wipes, removing excess make-up. I’m so excited to see my progress with the product and have already shared it with my friends.

I used My Cherubs facial wipes for the first time this morning! I am so impressed! Before i apply makeupI like to clean my skin by using face wipes just to make sure that there is no makeup " leftovers" from the previous day! The material is so soft, and is not harsh on my skin at all! I love the smell, so refreshing!

I received my package today with the Cherubs Facial wipes! Love how compact and strong the packaging felt! Really looks like a high quality product and that makes me excited to try it out! I gave my friends their packs to try and they all seemed quite excited as well! I battle with an oily/combination skin so I'm keen to see how this reacts to my skin! Trying it for the first time tonight!

Final Review:

SO my overall experience with the Cherubs Facial Wipes has been a pleasant one! It removes makeup nicely, the fragrance is beautiful and it doesn't feel harsh on my skin. My skin feels fresh and clean after using the wipes, no mess, no fuss! My friends have also had a great experience with the wipes.

My mother never wears makeup, but thought she'd try the wipes out anyway as she hates having the feeling of anything on her face. She said she didn't experience any stinging or any other feeling on her face. She had a dress up event and had put acrylic paint on her face and said that it worked so nice at taking the paint off and no burning sensation!

Upon receiving the Cherubs Facial wipes range, I noticed that the 24 packs are perfect for putting in your handbag for on the go days.
The new clip lid on the 60 pack is really convenient , it helps the wipes to stay fresh and prevents them from drying out.
The wipes smell amazing. They are a bit thin , but because the product is so affordable, you can easily use 3 or 4 wipes to remove a full face of makeup without feeling guilty. It's also biodegradable which also explains the quality of the wipe.
Over all I am pleased with the range. It's a great drugstore alternative facial wipe that you can use if you don't want to splurge on high end facial wipes. At the end of the day, it does what it claims to do. And it definitely aids my process in taking of my first layer of makeup.

Smells really nice, but the wipes are too thin which makes it difficult to navigate on your skin. It ends up rolled up as you clean your face.
