Tell us about your blog? My blog is just the story of your average makeup-loving mom navigating the beauty world, from discovering and reviewing products, sharing new makeup collections and product laucnhes, my quest to find the perfect shampoo, to navigating the rocky road to flawless skin. Its a beauty blog covering makeup, hair and skincare, but it is also a little slice of my life and the things that inspire and excite me!
What are your top three handbag beauty essentials? Lip balm (Nuxe, Reve de Miel and lately REN Vitamineral Lip Balm), concealer (Soap & Glory Kick Ass or Bobbi Brown) and a travel sized Batiste dry shampoo
Your go-to everyday makeup look? This is like asking me how long a piece of string is. I have an ongoing instagram project where i try to wear a different makeup look nearly every day. One day I might be wearing red lips and a feline flick; the next day I might be wearing nude lips and a brown smokey eye. I always have fun and challenge myself!
Choose One:
Lipstick or lipgloss? I am tempted to say lipstick for the longevity and that fact that it doesn’t stick to your hair on a windy day, but I can never resist a bit of balmy shine or sparkle
Heels or flats? Flats. I used to own a closet full of heels, but if you can get through the baby years wearing heels then you deserve a medal. Now I’m definitely a ballet pump devotee.
Your failsafe ‘ugly day’ beauty fix? For me ‘ugly days’ inevitably involve breakouts, so the one product I couldn’t be without is a good full-coverage foundation which doesn’t look heavy or flat. If I were to go out wearing just one thing, it woul dbe foundation or a CC cream with decent coverage, like Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Foundation or Chanel CC Cream. Having good skin (or faking it) is the ultimate confidence-booster for me.
