Honestly there is no comparison.this device gets untouchably hot n actually made my hair worse ie frizzy.plus my hair got pulled inbetween the platesn device.i honestly dont know if mine is faulty but i wouldnt use this ever again

I must be honest that because my hair is pretty straight, this adds the perfect finishing touch it needs to remove frizz. Does need a styling product to prevent hair damage but all in all a good buy.

If it is a basic hair straightener you are after, then this certainly does the job. For more dramatic results you would have to spend a long time and many styling aids to achieve pin straight hair. Great for those on a shoe string budget and with hair in decent condition.

I have a mini one in this 2 in 1 straightner, I purchased it mainly so I could curl my hair because I love curls. But unfortunately I wasn't too happy with the results, plus I got burnt quite a few times thanks to this dangerous weapon. Lets not forget this straightner failed to straighten my hair, and then left me with some hectically (mind my poetic licence) damaged hair. But I'm not sure if its just me and my hair, because my hair can be quite stubborn. However if your hair is super fine, and can easily be straightened I'd say go for this product! It will be perfect for you.

I am probably one of the only people that is not impressed with this product.
I bought this when my straightener broke and I could't afford to replace it at the time. One perk about this product that it is affordable for a 2 in 1 product. I am not too sure how much it is. If anyone does know, please comment :)
Reasons why I did not like this product
It got extremely hot. And because it was a two in one product this was a problem. The outer part of the product that I sometimes grab by accident is also the curling iron. So as soon as you touch it, you will burn.
Another reason I did not like it was because it did not grip my hair when straightening it. It didn't hold my hair enough and I found that it only straightened certain parts. It took me longer to straighten my hair with this than what it did with my regular straightener.
The third reason why i did not like this is because the circle iron rod is quite fat so you ended up with very fat and tight curls. I know that you can work with your hair and make the curls fall better but when you are in a rush, this did not help.
Overall, I would not buy this product again but if you are looking for a convenient and inexpensive product, go for it.

I really like Babyliss and its very affordable. My hair lasts for the week when I use it which is great then one does not have to worry about hair looking dull.

I've been wanting to buy a new straightener, and my friend recommended Babyliss, since she loves hers. It's a great product for the price (about R400 from Clicks) and I'm very happy with the results. I haven't really tried the curling function yet.

At first, I was a little worried about the Babyliss brand, and reluctant to try it out. After receiving this, (i blew my brand new toni and guy straightener on holiday), I was quite surprised at the results.

Warning: It gets REALLY hot... which, of course, is the expected result, but... damn.

I still have yet to figure out how the curling iron works, and intend on doing some youtube surfing and figuring it all out, and adding a few pics later.

Apart from that - the actual straightener is a breeze and works chop-chop. Smooth and shiny results. (Stay away from Ceramic plates)
