This AVON MEGA EFFECTS MASCARA is one of the best mascaras I've found !
So, my eyelashes are basically non-existent ( this is not at exaggeration ). I never ever used to wear any mascara as i never saw the point in doing so if it makes no difference with their empty promises of 'lengthening' & 'volumising'.
Until i was introduced to AVON MEGA EFFECTS - it actually fulfills its promise.

What a nightmare to get the brush out.u got to rock it back n forth n wiggle it out.with all the promising reviews thought i would give this a try.
The whole application technique is so fussy n for me totally not worth it.
I almost poked myself in the eye applying this n its far too time consuming to bother with.

I usually love trying new products, but I regret buying this one. I don't like the brush and its very difficult for me to apply the mascara. Not very impressed with this product.

Mega Effects Mascara is awesome it does its job in one easy step no mess no fuss. i simply love it. its easy to apply in one easy step. My lashes as 10 time the volume it as ever had.

I was also very excited to try this enticing new "mascara application system" from Avon, but I was a little let down at first. It took me a while to get the application right. In the beginning it was awkward and I couldn't get the bristles to stop poking me in the eye-ball. Once I had practiced a few times and figured out how to hold it properly, this adorable little package has become a favourite of mine.

This has been the absolute best, fastest and most defined mascara I've ever used.

When someone tries to sell you something and you don't find it in-stores, you tend not to be phased at the items. Well that was me with Avon products.

After receiving Avon's Mega Effects Mascara as a gift from my mom on Christmas, I was like I don't use "no-name" products.

We'll after looking at the cool packaging and the unique design and how well it fits right next to my cellphone in my tiny clutch bag, I gave it a shot.
Having sensitive skin I'm not open to trying anything.

We'll let me tell you! It is the best product I have ever used.
The mascara fits easily into the palm of your hand while the other to removes the brush from the holder.
Best design ever, the brush can bend to suit your position or style of applying. The broad brush is perfect for those who do the morning time rush and who have not mastered the application process as yet.

I absolutely love this product, that I even became an Avon Rep.

Hey Beauties!

When I received this product, I was absolutely in love with the design. Avon took Mascara to another level.

My first application was messy, not sure how to manoeuvre the wand. The product colour(Blackest Black) really impressed me. The amount of product distributed evenly which is a winner.

I would recommend this product for day use, as one cost is enough! I think it's perfect to travel with and touch ups when needed.

I believe one should invest in a quality mascara, and I believe I can this one to the list!!

Super excited to receive this product to review! Unfortunately just not too impressed with it.

First of all it was a bit tricky to figure out how to open it. And mine just didn't slide open "smoothly", I have to wiggle it out to get the brush out.

I have rather long lashes and for me personally, it did not coat each lash but was making my lashes lumping together and smudging taking a while to dry :-(

Personally I prefer the old fashioned extended round brush which you have more control over smoothing through your lashes.

Afraid not a rave review from me...

Avon has truly out done itself when it comes to Mascara. My makeup essential is mascara and when I saw this strange applicator at the reasonable intro price, I ordered it. Its a rat here one-on-one experience when applying it. No mess application especially ideal for those who don't have a sturdy hand like myself. Such a max effect for lashes which has my friends actually fooled to think I have long thick lashes. It has to be one of the best mascara's on the market now! It should just be made available to purchase in stores!

The price is excellent, and the mascara is cute - I'll give you that. When I saw it in the Avon booklet for the first time, I immediately thought it would be out-of-this-world-expensive... but it's the price of a regular mascara. I have yet to try it out, and see whether it actually works... I'm more of a traditionalist when it comes to mascaras - I can deal with a slightly different angled brush, or a wand that has its bristles spread out in a different pattern than the usual mascara wands, but this little gadget is unlike anything I've ever seen. Honestly, I think I'd feel a bit self-conscious flipping it out in a public bathroom and inviting the stares of other women. Maybe I'll just use it at home... it'll be my own personal dirty little secret! hehe x

When I received this product I was really excited and then I open the packaging...

It is tricky to open only if you are unsure but after the first time it is easy as pie.

I recommend that you apply this the first time as a practice run at home to familiarise yourself with the application brush.

I LOVE it! It coats every lash nice and evenly. One application and your good to go.

It takes a small while to dry so be careful not to rub your eyes after applying.

All in all a great product and a innovative, funky design that makes it easy to spot in any handbag.

Got my mascara last week and tried it out over the weekend - VA VA VOOOM my lashes looked awesome. The highlight for me is that you can carry this in your bag and it won't take up any space. I also love how you can angle the head to the perfect position for precision use. Its definitely cuteness in a bottle, the little brush is too cute and having to just move the handle of the brush whilst its in the bottle from left to right is better than having to pump the brush in and out or screw lid in and screw lid out in order to get mascara on the brush. And the base is soft too so you can give it a gentle squeeze before you twist left to right and take the brush out to sweep base to tip along your lashes - 10 thumbs up Avon - excellent product

I was really excited when I received this product. It has an innovative design which surprised me. My first thoughts was that it was gimmicky- just another marketing ploy with the same old product. I am pretty loyal to my Maybelline mascaras.

After using it, I was pleasantly surprised. the brush coated every lash effectively and evenly and you could easily build up to a rich, thick coat after a few applications. The best way to apply it is with a vibrating action. It made my lashes look dark, voluminous and thick.

I wear contacts and spectacles and I did not find it irritating to either. It doesn't easily smudge either if you have hayfever like I do.

The only drawback with this product is that i found that it takes long to dry. On several occasions I sneezed a few minutes after applying the mascara and ended up looking like a panda.

I will definately consider purchasing this product on 2 conditions: 1) They formulate it to dry more rapidly
2) They have a waterproof option

So, I was pretty excited when I received this product in the post as I am a bit of a mascara junkie. On the first try I did poke myself in the eye with the applicator. Once you get the hang of it though, it's pretty nifty. I really love the volume and definition I get with this mascara. The only drawback is the price. There are a lot of other products that will give you the same results for less money. All-in-all this is a great product.

When I first received the Avon Mega Effects Mascara I was quite skeptical. I thought 'What. are. they. trying. to. do?' The shape is odd and the brush was scary looking to be honest. I was not convinced that this mascara was anything special.
But...after using it the first time, I was hooked! The compact size is perfect for my make up bag. The unique brush works like magic! It coats each lash and separates them perfectly. I have really long lashes and I always struggle with conventional mascara wands, whilst trying to apply mascara I somehow always end up with mascara blotches all over my eyes. With Avon's Mega Effects I could apply the mascara perfectly. It was so refreshing! What a fantastic product, well done Avon. You have won me over!

When I first opened the mascara I was taken a back by the very different design. It took me a few seconds to work out how to open it but once I did the effect was awesome! The mascara itself is great - no clumps and a great volumising effect, it does however take some time to get used to the applicator. I find the most difficult part is not getting it onto your brow bone.

All in all I would recommend it but more a a special occasion mascara than an every day item.

The Look:
When I received the Avon Mega Effects Mascara the first thing I judged was the packaging. It definitely caught my attention as the shape of the mascara is not like any other product I have seen before. I loved the size as it is small enough to carry around and fit in any makeup bag or pocket. I loved the colour as it was bright pink, which made me think it was youthful, fun and exciting.

Pro’s:
The interesting shape of the brush allowed me to shape my lashes and thicken/lengthen them a lot easier than most brushes, I had more control over the brush. The mascara lasts the entire day and does not fall off the lashes and create little black spots on your eyes. I also liked the way I could almost use it as a lash curler because of the shape and strength of the brush. I loved the hinge handle so that you may adjust the angle of the brush according to your liking!

Cons:
I cannot find any cons about this product except the fact that the brush did scare me a little when I first saw it. As soon as I used it I was completely in love with the product!

Recommendation:
I highly recommend this product. It is different, and allows more creativity and control than most mascara’s.

Mascara has to be my favorite beauty and make-up product. I can do without just about any other product, so long my lashes look full and gorgeous.

Avon's new wonderbrush is innovative and so much easier to use than the normal wand. A mascara that comes with instructions?? Yup, this one is definitely a first of its kind. Although, I have to admit I was a little intimidated at first, once I got the grip, rock, pull method going, it was a awesome to use.

The bendable brush allows for a more comfortable application and there is no longer the worry of stabbing yourself in the eye again. This is a wonderful product; although the original price is a little steep, I'd definitely continue to use it.

I found that the brush was far too big as i have very small tight eyes it made applying very difficult and messy! The shape of the brush was awkward to use, i deffinately wouldn't recommend it to anyone although the mascara itself was long lasting and great! A different bottle and brush is needed

I was extremely impressed with the Avon Mega Effects Mascara. At first glance it looks like a bulky product, but that is only because of the genius of the design. The applicator wand had a good, broad base which allowed for a firm grip. What particularly impressed me, is that the mascara allowed for applying from bottom to top with the flexible wand, which gave me a good view of the lashes and thus the best way to apply the product. The positioning of the hand when applying mascara makes all the difference. I also appreciated the fact that there wasn't too much of the mascara on the brush applicator, which meant that the lashes didn't clump. The effect created was truly mega, and I also like the fact that the lashes weren't spidery or too stiff, but that they held. I would certainly recommend Avon Mega Effects Mascara.

When I opened my package to reveal the little tube of mascara I was beyond excited. The whole idea of the mascara was amazing and sounded super simple to apply.

However I was very disappointed. Not only did the formula not do much for my eyelashes (they were neither defined, nor full of volume, even after 2 coats), but I found the wand messy to use. I'm not sure if this is because it was a different shape and so you apply it differently, and I was just therefore just not used to it. But even after a month of using it I don't seem to have gotten any better at it! I tend to smear a bit of mascara on my eyelid nearly every time I use it and I just don't find it to be as effective as other mascaras.

I would not purchase this mascara for myself.

Great product!

I was so excited to receive this sample. I really thought it was going to lay to rest my mascara troubles... but alas.
I initially struggled just to get it open. I don't think that the instructions leaflet is very clear. Once I got it open, I managed to get most of the mascara on my eye lid and less on my actual lashes. This happened the first few attempts at using the product.
I did however like the size and compactness of the product, but I found it awkward to use and difficult to manipulate.
I have not given up just yet, I will try again. The design makes sense and I cant see how I can't get this to work so hopefully this review will go from poor to good...

Firstly, this mascara is super cute. It just makes you want to reach for it. Obviously the brush is the key feature as it is very different from your normal mascara brush. I really like the change. With a normal brush I usually battle to get to the very base of my lashes to start building up volume from the root.The Mega Effects mascara, however, is designed in such a way that you get right in between the lashes which I really like. I also love that it manages to separate the lashes coating each one individually. My only dislike would be that it is hard to control the brush in such a way that I don't get any mascara on the lid. I am not sure if I am just not used to it yet or if the brush is a little too big but I usually get a small smudge near the lashes.

The colour is a nice saturated black and looks great. The packaging is quite practical and easy to carry. There seems to be a lot of product in the tube.

Do I recommend to try it out? Definitely yes! The price is great (R99.95 in the current Avon brochure) and the chances are that you will fall in love with the brush.

This little mascara looked ideal and compact but I found it to be too small to apply and also the brush was much to thick in size to get a defined look. It wasnt a product I used comfortably and I do much prefer the traditional thin mascara wand that conventional mascaras use.

The actual product lasted well but sadly the dynamics of actual application put me off.

Great new product! Cool packaging and idea. This is such a nice new way to present mascara in. I like the product very much. It is just a little bit difficult to get the same results as with an ordinary mascara applicator, I keep on getting mascara on my skin just below my eyebrows, but the more I use it the better I get!

This nifty little mascara tube is the first of it's kind and will pave the way for many other mascaras to come. Admittingly, It does take a while to master. In the beginning, you will have splotches everywhere besides on your eyelashes, or maybe that's just me. After about four tries, I finally mastered it!

The clever brush packed with bristles of all sizes, ensures that you coat each lash perfectly and evenly for a wide awake look that lasts through the entire day.

The only thing I never liked about the product was that it was hard to open and that it would be much better if it were a waterproof formula. Other than that, this is a win!

Ok so I recently received this Mascara from Beauty Bulletin to test out and was a bit confused when I opened the box. It's not the usual Mascara and looks very different... I was very excited to try it out though! So I tried it out and I was quite impressed at the way it applied so smoothly! Clump free (YAY!) Although the only problem I had was that it sort of messed my eyelids a bit but I'm a very messy person when it comes to applying Mascara so I think that was my fault. It came off from my eyelids easily with a wet earbud though so that was cool, although I had to reapply my eyeshadow. I applied it in the morning and got home late that night and it looked as if I'd just applied it! I found that really awesome... All in all I really love this and will definitely be buying this as soon as I run out. Yet another awesome product by Avon

I was so confused at first as to how the mascara even opened as i wasn't used to this new design but even using it for the first time was amazing! no clumpy eyelashes, each lash perfectly coated and not to mention it was so much fuller!!!! I am a huge mascara fan constantly changing for fear the next is better but iv met my match! :) LOVE LOVE LOVE! Will definitely be purchasing it in future.

I also felt it made my lashes look more "clumpy" than usual.

I was excited to use this 'breakthrough' new product, but I must admit, I found this mascara difficult to use. I think this is because I'm used to using a mascara wand and not this new 'paintbrush' type of device. As a result I made quite a mess. In trying to apply the mascara to my eyelashes, I landed up getting black smudges on my cheeks and eyelids. Ain't nobody got time fo' that! I tried to angle it differently, but eventually gave up. Back to my trusty wand mascara.

I was surprised when I saw the avon mega effects mascara wand at first. I couldn’t quite figure out what goes where but once I figured it out i was completely overtaken by the genius of the design. We often hear one size fits all but that's really just not the case and I think Avon has tried to make this statement true with this mascara. This wand is actually adjustable and sits comfortably in the nook of your hand making it easy to apply but unfortunately not that easy to control. Due to the flexibility of the wand itself and its small size to accompany it, it’s a mission to actually apply it without having smudge lines all over your eyes.

I must say, the bristles are spaced great to avoid clumping (well done avon) BUT the mascara takes forever to dry which results in once having a grunge look unintentionally.

One thing that it is great for is super straight lashes. I gave the wand to my mom to try out and it is the only mascara she’s used that managed to curl those straight as a board eye lashes. However, it did nothing wonderful for my own lashes.

I would recommend this product! As long as u have patience in applying mascara :)

I was not a big fan of this mascara. When i got the mascara, it was quite a mission to get it open. Did not like the fancy packaging and the mascara itself was a bit of a dissapointment. It takes forever to dry. I dont have nice long lashes, nor full. It just did not do anything for me. It did not give me lenght and was not smudge proof. Was great trying it out though :)

Opening my mascara for the first time was quite a mission and the design was quite different to what I was used to but as I continued to wear it, i fell more and more in love. Apply one coat for a daytime look and two or three layers for sexy, night out look! Will definitely add this to my make up supplies permanently!

Avon Mega Effects Mascara is really great mascara and gives you lashes the full luscious look, however opening the tube to get to the applicator was a bit of a nightmare. But after reading through the instructions I managed to open it just fine. Didn’t ever think that I would need instruction to open a mascara bottle, it gave me a few moments to laugh at myself. Once I finally opened it I found that the brush can be a little messy for a first timer but after a while of practicing I managed to find the technique and applied the mascara without any more fuss. I found that if you apply more than one layer it makes your lashes even more full and think perfect for a night time look. Avon Mega Effects Mascara is really a unique product and sets itself apart from the rest. I have already recommended the product to all my friends and they too love it.

Girls believe, this mascara does make your lashes look bigger, fuller having an overall effect on eyes. Love it. Application is easy but it was removing the brush from the holder that proved a little difficult. I will advise anyone with dull, fine, thin lashes to invest in this product.

As first I was a little hesitant about this mascara, but once I got the knack of it, I absolutely love it. It is very effective from the first coat. It is definitely not one that needs more than 1-2 coats to create a very dramatic effect. I recommend it to add to ones mascara collection & use when you only have a few seconds to apply mascara but want a very effective look. for me it delivers exactly what it says - a MEGA EFFECT. It is worth persevering as it is not the usual, but your endeavours will be rewarded.

Wow wow wow, i looooooooooooooove this mascara. The applicator tip is AWESOME, flexible and so suitable for any style of applying eye makeup. The mascara itself is great, takes a while to dry -try not to sneeze after immediate application- but it really is long lasting once dry and absolutely fab. The little bottle is so unique and the style is very modern and attractive. I really do love everything about this mascara and would love to make it my permanent new mascara, but will have to wait till its on special ;)

I absolutely adore Avon Mega Effects Mascara. It comes in a quirky yet fun looking bottle; the applicator brush is like a paint brush. It defines and coats my lashes without any smudges.

I love this mascara it really is user friendly and coats the lashes without much effort, making them thicker and longer. The design is great even for the ladies that are just getting into makeup. I just wish it was waterproof, then it would be the mother of all mascaras.

With this innovitive new packaging I've never been more exctied to use a product! I thought about it all day and couldn't wake up early enough to give it a bash!

It ceratinly delivered with being super fun to use - however I love major volume and this doesn't deliver in that sense.

If you naturally have thick bold lashes I would definitely reccomend this as what you would be looking for is length and this truely gives great legnth!

I found that because I was looking for volume - it was quite messy as I was trying to layer it and with the new style of applicator you can really get right up into the base of your lashes like never before. So I did end up doing a lot of work trying to clean up my smudges (I would reccomend you do a bold smokey eye with this).
