I was very excited when Sorbet launched their BB cream , and upon application I could see the results it covers and keeps my skin moisturised and hydrated defiantly a must buy.
Available at Click @R99
I bought this a while ago when I was really into BB Creams, but it didn't wow me. I usually love Sorbet products but this isn't one of them.
The consistency is quite thick and doesn't blend out as well as I would like. It feels like a regular thick tinted moisturizer, but not as good as other BB creams I've tried.
The price is good and you might like it if you have great skin, but I'm not a fan.
I really love the constancy of the liquid base and it feels very hydrating on the skin and it doesn't feel as if my pores are being blocked, but i do feel as if their colour choices are a bit sketchy. With the only options of "light", "medium" and "dark", its hard to figure out which category you fit into.
I'm a huge fan of BB creams, so when I saw this at its relatively cheap price I grabbed it immediately only to be disappointed. The consistency is thick and creamy and a sufficient pea sized amount provides an OKAY coverage leaving your face feeling heavy and cakey. I always felt like I was wearing too much makeup when I used this BB Cream and that I looked like a tart because it would never blend in nicely. I still have my tube which is pretty full. I have started mixing it with alternative BB Creams and Foundations to get the perfect match so that I can make use of it instead of it going to waste.
This BB cream is the best I've tried so far. I must admit that I use it with powder as their darkest shade was too dark and a shade lighter was too light. I think it kinda sucks that there are only 3 shades
Also the bottle packaging could be better, like a squirt sprayer just for convenience.
I love the no-make up look this product is great for the fresh face look, only problem is the packaging. One has to squeeze the container to get the product out and sometime that means BB Cream splashing all over the bathroom :(
The price is great though :)
I'm not big on BB creams, I prefer CC creams, but I recently became a fan of the Sorbet BB cream. It's a fairly thick consistency and It applies really well. It gives me a natural ,dewey finish so it's perfect for days when I want to skip the foundation . I sometimes use a powder over this but for me that's optional because on its own, this BB cream does its job. I find that it does not rub off onto clothing .in my experience it does not fade or get cakey.. Smells good and does not irritate my skin.
I do however think that it should have a higher spf.
I don't wear foundation on a daily basis so when I stumbled on this cream after getting my nails done, I thought let me give it a shot.
I was glad that it had SPF15 but not impressed that it comes in only 3 shades.
I used my fingers to apply it since it is basically a moisturiser and I got decent coverage on my few dark marks. It lasts a little over 8 hours when I'm in the office because there's airconditioning. Doesn't last as long when I'm out in the sun though. A make-up setting spray comes in handy and helps to make it last a bit longer.
For light coverage and a more natural look and feel, this BB cream is the one to choose.
I've been a loyal follower of the garnier bb range when it came out, first using the original one, and then switching to the oily/combination skin bb cream of Garnier. The textures of the two were completely different to each other, with the combination one being extremely runny, with little coverage (Didn't expect much from a BB cream, though) and it didn't seem like it 'settled' into skin, instead it felt like I could rub it off with just a light touch of a tissue. So when it was time for a repurchase, I decided to try the Sorbet BB cream (light) at clicks (R100). Same price, different texture, amazing results. The texture is nice and creamy, and spreads smoothly with either your fingers, or a beauty blender. The coverage is also great, and pores are definitely blurred. I used it underneath my usual foundation aswell, and it worked great as a primer, without my make up looking caked on. On it's own, it blends in like a daycream, my face don't get oily and it doesnt rub off easily. And the SPF is a bonus. This will definitely be a rebuy.
I have only ever used this brand and the Ponds BB cream so i am comparing the two.
I used the medium shade.
I found that the cream was rich and smelt lovely. It felt like i could skip the moistoriser so i was only using the cream and a primer. It provided a nice glow too.
However, it offers a light coverage and it definately fades during the day.
I would use this to work, but not for a night on a town.
I love the smell of this product, however the lightest shade was too light for me and the second option was too dark. I went for the second shade, considering that is it a BB cream and the colour isnt too thick, as long as you spread and blend it really well with a brush or beauty blender, then I find it gives quite nice natural coverage, with a hint of colour. Its really lightwight and works just as well when blended with your fingers!
Really love this BB cream. Affordable, good coverage, lightweight and applies very well. SPF 15 as well! available at clicks or sorbet salons for R100.
