I'm absolutely in love with this BB cream. I wear the shade Light 02, and can honestly say this product is fantastic. As someone who used to feel the need to wear foundation every day, this has been a complete game changer. I get a medium coverage if worn by itself, and if i'm going for a "full on" look I use it as a primer. This product leaves my skin feeling hydrated and moisturized, a must have.
I was very excited when Sorbet launched their BB cream , and upon application I could see the results it covers and keeps my skin moisturised and hydrated defiantly a must buy.
Available at Click @R99
Yeah…it is more than an attitide and yes this is larger than life. What in the world am I talking about? Its my new foundation from Sorbet.
Yes…It is a big deal. For years I have struggled to find a foundation which suites my combination skin and finally I found my match. I went to Sorbet Tygervalley on Saturday and asked one of the consultants to match me.It was love at first touch. What I loved most about this full coverage foundation is that it covers all my blemishes…uhm…what am i talking about….Yes…I have blemishes. One of my insecurities. We all have those. Thanks to my new full coverage foundation which comes with a concealer built in on top…and yes, it has a mirror as well….I am covered for all things life throws my way.I wore my foundation whole day, from a girls afternoon out to the evening when we had our monthly supper I was covered and received so many compliments. Yes, it was well worth my R299 spent. Yes, that is all I spent on this little piece of miracle. What I love about this foundation is that it contains vitamins A, C and E and it also contains SPF 6 which is sufficient provided that your moisturiser also contains an SPF.Thank you Sorbet for creating such perfectly packaged products which is easy on the budget and lasts all day long.
I bought this a while ago when I was really into BB Creams, but it didn't wow me. I usually love Sorbet products but this isn't one of them.
The consistency is quite thick and doesn't blend out as well as I would like. It feels like a regular thick tinted moisturizer, but not as good as other BB creams I've tried.
The price is good and you might like it if you have great skin, but I'm not a fan.
I’ve always had an issue when it came to purchasing the right B.B. cream and primer. I’ve discovered the Sorbet BB CREAM a few months ago and I’m totally in love. It’s saves me money from buying a primer because the B.B. cream acts as a primer and has SPF 15 in it! Retailers at R100 and totally affordable! I’m currently on my second repurchase!
I really love the constancy of the liquid base and it feels very hydrating on the skin and it doesn't feel as if my pores are being blocked, but i do feel as if their colour choices are a bit sketchy. With the only options of "light", "medium" and "dark", its hard to figure out which category you fit into.
I'm a huge fan of BB creams, so when I saw this at its relatively cheap price I grabbed it immediately only to be disappointed. The consistency is thick and creamy and a sufficient pea sized amount provides an OKAY coverage leaving your face feeling heavy and cakey. I always felt like I was wearing too much makeup when I used this BB Cream and that I looked like a tart because it would never blend in nicely. I still have my tube which is pretty full. I have started mixing it with alternative BB Creams and Foundations to get the perfect match so that I can make use of it instead of it going to waste.
This BB cream is the best I've tried so far. I must admit that I use it with powder as their darkest shade was too dark and a shade lighter was too light. I think it kinda sucks that there are only 3 shades
Also the bottle packaging could be better, like a squirt sprayer just for convenience.
I love the no-make up look this product is great for the fresh face look, only problem is the packaging. One has to squeeze the container to get the product out and sometime that means BB Cream splashing all over the bathroom :(
The price is great though :)
I honestly think that this BB Cream is the best on the market. I've tried many other BB Cream brands and foundations but nothing comes close to this. I went to Clicks Blueroute and it seems they've discontinued it, although the Sorbet stores have said that they're rebranding.
PROS:
- The thick consistency makes this BB Cream build-able.
- I usually use this BB Cream with a primer and it's lasted all day with no powdery residue and no extreme shine on the T-Zone.
- Powder makes this product last way longer
- It doesn't melt off your face after 6 hours
- Mixes well with other make up (Powder, Concealer, blush, etc)
- The actual product has lasted me forever (2-4 months) and I use it almost everyday.
CONS:
- The squishy bottle can cause a bit of a mess.
- Not available for a little while. I hope that when it returns, the brand doesn't include, exclude or soil this brilliant product (It's happened with many other brands)
I'm not big on BB creams, I prefer CC creams, but I recently became a fan of the Sorbet BB cream. It's a fairly thick consistency and It applies really well. It gives me a natural ,dewey finish so it's perfect for days when I want to skip the foundation . I sometimes use a powder over this but for me that's optional because on its own, this BB cream does its job. I find that it does not rub off onto clothing .in my experience it does not fade or get cakey.. Smells good and does not irritate my skin.
I do however think that it should have a higher spf.
I don't wear foundation on a daily basis so when I stumbled on this cream after getting my nails done, I thought let me give it a shot.
I was glad that it had SPF15 but not impressed that it comes in only 3 shades.
I used my fingers to apply it since it is basically a moisturiser and I got decent coverage on my few dark marks. It lasts a little over 8 hours when I'm in the office because there's airconditioning. Doesn't last as long when I'm out in the sun though. A make-up setting spray comes in handy and helps to make it last a bit longer.
For light coverage and a more natural look and feel, this BB cream is the one to choose.
Having only tried the Ponds BB Cream, I was eager to try this one for summer. It has a bit of a thick consistency and is best applied with my fingers. It does cover quite well and evenly. Though it feels a bit caked on at the beginning when I first finish applying it. After leaving it a couple of minutes and then adding a mattifying powder it looks really great. I guess it should have a "settling" period after you have applied it? I don't know but it really looks good on my skin overall, doesn't have an overpowering scent and doesn't make my skin breakout which is a huge plus point! A product that takes some getting used to.
I've been a loyal follower of the garnier bb range when it came out, first using the original one, and then switching to the oily/combination skin bb cream of Garnier. The textures of the two were completely different to each other, with the combination one being extremely runny, with little coverage (Didn't expect much from a BB cream, though) and it didn't seem like it 'settled' into skin, instead it felt like I could rub it off with just a light touch of a tissue. So when it was time for a repurchase, I decided to try the Sorbet BB cream (light) at clicks (R100). Same price, different texture, amazing results. The texture is nice and creamy, and spreads smoothly with either your fingers, or a beauty blender. The coverage is also great, and pores are definitely blurred. I used it underneath my usual foundation aswell, and it worked great as a primer, without my make up looking caked on. On it's own, it blends in like a daycream, my face don't get oily and it doesnt rub off easily. And the SPF is a bonus. This will definitely be a rebuy.
I have only ever used this brand and the Ponds BB cream so i am comparing the two.
I used the medium shade.
I found that the cream was rich and smelt lovely. It felt like i could skip the moistoriser so i was only using the cream and a primer. It provided a nice glow too.
However, it offers a light coverage and it definately fades during the day.
I would use this to work, but not for a night on a town.
I've tried so many BB creams, only to not be impressed by them at all.
This one is fantastic! It doesn't irritate my skin, it MOST DEFINITELY evens out my skin tone - something that BB creams always claim to do, but don't always actually do - and it brightens up my complexion. It feels much more moisturising and soothing than regular foundation, and I can use this, paired with a concealer instead of foundation (and I never leave the house without foundation, so it's a big deal for me).
There are limited colours, but I find that the medium is great for me in summer and the light will be perfect for winter.
I love the smell of this product, however the lightest shade was too light for me and the second option was too dark. I went for the second shade, considering that is it a BB cream and the colour isnt too thick, as long as you spread and blend it really well with a brush or beauty blender, then I find it gives quite nice natural coverage, with a hint of colour. Its really lightwight and works just as well when blended with your fingers!
Really love this BB cream. Affordable, good coverage, lightweight and applies very well. SPF 15 as well! available at clicks or sorbet salons for R100.
I am somewhat new to BB creams and when I saw this at clicks I thought why not. I went for the medium complexion. But while it may feel light and smooth on my skin, when I looked in the mirror I felt like I was in Jersey Shore. It made me look darker than I am. I think maybe there should be testers and also a variety in colors. People don’t come in 3 shades; or am I going about this wrong?
