Renew Hair Dye

This product was recommended to me , as I was looking for a dye that won't dry out my hair. This product is amazing.. I looked amazing.. I loved the colour even though it wasn't the colour on the box . Up until today I still use Renew hair colour.

Recently purchased the ocean burst colour, left it on for an hour (more than recommended time) and it was terrible, there’s barely any blue in my hair. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!

An ever increasing trend among social media platforms is the Grey/Ash/Mushroom hair colour. Salons know this and as a result, it will cost you alot to have it done professionally. The go-to solution? Box dye! Personally, I have been able to achieve wonders using these inexpensive, easy to use products-with salon level results. But unfortunately, this product has been far from satisfactory. The first application striped my hair as it should; then the pearl Grey colour was applied. After an hour of allowing it to take, there was not even a hint of Grey. This experience left my hair completely blonde and damaged! Very disappointed with this product.

I used this dye for my Peruvian hair and it did an exceptional job! I had previously purchased another brand and the hair did not change color at all but with this particular one, I noticed it began working even before I finished applying. Would definitely recommend this dye for hair. If your hair is intensely dark, it would be wise to use the bleach first to get the most of the colour. And on he plus side, the packaging includes a bleach pack as well.

My experience with the Renew Hair Dye is honestly that it will do in a bind. Does the job but not a first choice product for me. Honestly only bought it as an alternative to my egular go to product. It is not my preference personally for my hair.

Personally this product didnt damage my hair . The color was nothing mindblowing but what put me off completely was the chemical smell that just wouldnt wash out . It affected my allergies and made me feel absolutely sick . Price wise its really affordable , but definately not for me

I had good experiences with the product. The color is vibrant and it did not wash out after two washes.

The price is also very affordable and there is really nothing negative I can say about this product.

It works well on my hair!

Please only buy the funky colours if your hair is really white - you're just going to damage your hair and waste your time if its not. Im sure the darker colours work fine, but coming from someone who tried to go grey after her hair was ash blonde - it doesn't work.

I have been to many salons who really damaged my hair! I purchased renew highlights kit and to my amazement it really worked it left my hair feeling shiny and silky i cant believe that i have finally got the blond i wanted!!! 100% recommendable

Ok, so after the first time using Renew hair dye Wine Red. The first day i was quite impressed as it left my hair feeling soft and moisturised!! However, a week thereafter, washing and blow drying my hair, i noticed that the colour washed out and it left my hair looking dry and dull :( Its the worse feeling ever, because i believe that a woman's hair is her beauty spot!

I always have my hairdresser bleach my hair and put blue in, but every other month I renew the blue myself with at home products. That is to say: I DID NOT USE THE BLEACH PROVIDED BY RENEW SO THIS REVIEW IS ON THE COLOUR ITSELF ONLY AND NOT THE BLEACH PRODUCT. In fact I would highly recommend you getting your hair professionally bleached as it's so difficult to get the porous level right at home.

The price looks good but when you compare it to the quality of the product I guess it becomes questionable. For me, the product worked because I had my hair professionally bleach and my hair was porous enough for the colour to stick. However, I bought the ocean burst colour and the coour that came out of the bottle ad ended up on my hair looked more like their royal blue than the ocean burst (and yes the bottle and the box said ocean burst).

The product was difficult to get out of the bottle, which is annoying, and the gloves were way too big. However, the colour itself was very moisturising to the hair and it stuck very well. Unfortunately it was not the advertised colour so I was disappointed. The conditioner is also very moisturising.

Overall, I think with some tweaks to the product they could probably make this more successful. I would not buy this again though.

I had such a nightmare with the renew Perfect color. I bought a box at my local spar , excited to try it out and to get the vibrant red color as advertised on the box. I put the pre lightning treatment on my hair , it striped the color from my hair , leaving it in different shades of orange, white and yellow. After that i put on the color it was a beautiful red, that washed out within the next 2 days , after 2 weeks left me walking around with yellow hair broken and damaged hair. Costing my hundreds of Rands to get my hair fixed by my local hairdresser . She also said that no color she put on will stay in my hair due to the Renew pre lightning treatment that I put on, it causes all color to wash out, because it strips your hair of all the color molecules leaving nothing for color to cling to. I sent a complaint, and the reply was that my hair was not the right color to start with , it is only for blondes and brunettes. But what about the damage and why does not only my hair color wash out ??

This is the worst Product Ever especially their new range with the highlights in. I bought the Ash Blonde Pearl 10.1 Hair dye my hair is so burnt just after 10min of having the highlight on, the colour was more purple than the Platinum shown on the box and advertisements and being a Natural blonde the results should have been as shown.. I had to go and buy a new box of dye and a darker colour to cover up the nasty look and i had to cut my long hair, short and i still have a lot of damage on my hair. The worst part is this all just happened before i had to dye it darker. I am very disgusted, products like this should be removed from shelves.

I will never buy this product again! The customer care are really bad! I always used it but this time I bought a moch and my hair come out BLACK not even dark brown and they didn't do anything about my complaint! After a month still nothing? Thought oky I'll get used to the black bought the new ocean blue and againt the product didn't come out right it didn't even work it was so light so I compaint again and after 2 months still nothing! So I see on fb a lot of us comment that that new product doesn't work but then they keep on deleting the bad comments and after I asked them why is it that they keep on deleting the truth now they have blocked me so I can't say anything! This is really bad! They are lying about there product and deleting the truth so that people can still buy it and waits there money I'm really disgusted with there bad service you don't treat your customer like this I will never buy this againt not me or my family and friends

I bought this product while looking for a quick fix. Big mistake. Renew left my hair brittle and broken and dry. I must admit the colour was good, but it totally messed up the texture of my hair. I will not buy this product again. Very disappointed.

I am always sceptical about hair colors that I don't know much about ,I mean who wouldn't be but my sister has been using this for a while and gave me a box to try which I did ,reluctantly .. the results were amazing, the color took very well and my hair feels soft and silky and the color looks gorgeous. The conditioner that's included is great ,made my hair feels nourished and even more shiny. I'm glad I tried it and highly recommend it as it is by far better than most hair colors I've used . Days down the line my hair still feels soft and silky and the color has intensified .

I love to color my hair all the time and I love changing the color all the time.
This for me worked really well every single time .
The colour applies really well, because I have long hair I need 2 boxes of any color that I use and I get full coverage all over my hair.
There is a wide variety of colors and they leave your hair shiny and healthy looking. It also comes with a great conditioner that is really nourishing and helps keep color lasting longer.

The color does eventually fade but hey what color doesn't?

You just have to treat your hair well and use shampoo that is designed for color treated hair.

Really good product at a bargain

I personally like Renew, although it has been disapproved of by my hair dressers.
It gives my hair a healthy shine and feel and the colour comes through better than some other more expensive brands. It does however wash out after a while, although stated that it is permanent. It fades gradually, slightly more rapidly than other dyes.
Nonetheless, its the student budget way to go :)

I like this product its affordable and easy to use its gentle on my hair and leaves a nice shine the only thing that’s not so nice is that it doesn’t last as long as other hair colours

So I tried out this Renew hair dye , saw the ads on tv and thought to give it a try...

Shocked to have seen that I am starting to get strays of grey hair , which is unbelievable at my very young age.

So bought Renew at Pick n Pay for about R60 on special it's R55.

Also so messy dying my hair it came in standard mixing bottle with hair color and a conditioner.

This hair dye really makes my hair shinny and looking great, only thing is you have to reapply every month as my hair starts growing I can see my natural color on the roots which sucks cause its expensive to keep reapplying hair dye.

Great attempt though.
