This is another recent purchase for me and here is my first impression:

It is not like your typical primer. It does not set immediately like your silicone based primers do. It takes a good few minutes and even then - it still remains kind of tacky on the skin.

However, foundation somehow adheres to it very nicely and it does provide a really nice glow from within effect. It also doesn't really have a scent to it.

It hydrates throughout the day - you can actually feel it working. It definitely does not control oil, but it does not make me any oilier than my usual self.

It keeps your foundation and powder locked in place all day long. You will need to blot, but you will not loose much coverage in doing so.

It is quite pricey at R450, but you do get 50ml of product compared to their other 30 / 40ml primers that sell for between R400-R450.

Overall, I do like this product and I will repurchase and recommend it.

I honestly don't know what I done before this product. It is light and easy to apply, and blends into the skin with ease. Because this product is nearly like a lotion, the effect is smooth and ideal as base before applying your foundation. It smooths out your pores to give a more polished look, after foundation has been applied. I have not had any issues with this product, and has ensure that my make up lasts for the day. The trick to remember, is when applying this product is to wait a few minutes for it to 'dry' before applying foundation etc.

MAC Skin Visage SPF 50 is a dream primer. It differ's to the other MAC Primer as its not a silicone base so it's really good for all skin types as well as not being as "fussy" when it comes to application. The SPF 50 primer is a thick cream and leaves the skin feeling wonderfully soft and as its a thick cream, it can be applied as such whereas the other primer (as its a silicone base to even out skin texture) needs to be smoothed on, in long strokes or else it forms a matrix on the skin and can leave a residue and thats not good for your foundation application that's to come.
