The colours are great to look at and the shades are suitable for everyday. However, these shadows lack pigment and don't blend well at all due to the fact that they are 'chalky' - the eyeshadows tend to come across as quite patchy on the skin. I like the fact that some of the shadows have a sheen to them and find that these look better on the skin compared to the matte shades.

I love Essence products for their affordability and quality but this palette is a huge miss for me.

The shadows are powdery so there's a ton of fallout. Because the pans are so close together, the fallout from one shadow falls into the pan of another shadow. The darker shades are pigmented but they're nothing special. There's not much of a difference between the lighter shades.

Honestly, this palette is suited for paler/lighter skinned people. I have a medium skin tone and these applied ashy, grey and muddy. They also did not last as long - maybe about 3 hours. If you're very fair, this might be an okay buy. I know the price is appealing , but I would rather spend a bit more money for a better quality palette.
