I love this formula. It is very moisturising on the lips and it lasts a good amount of time. I adore the nudes range. If you can get your hands on "Barely There" - you will fall in love. It is the perfect pinky-purply- nude shade! They are not pricey at all and these will 4sure remain a staple in my collection.

I have bought this lipstick an unhealthy number of times.

This is a smooth ,color rich lipstick that comes in a range of shades and has a great matt finish. The only fault i can find with this lipstick is that it doesn't stay for very long,but for the price you pay i don't think you'll be complaining

This was my first lipstick that I bought and I must say I am very impressed. I have never liked the idea of having a bright colour on my lips and have always been scared of the coloured teeth when wearing lipstick, but this lipstick has pleasantly surprised me.

You shouldn't let the low price fool you, it might be cheaper than the bigger brands, but it works amazingly! This Essence Long Lasting lipstick is a nice long lasting lipstick with minimal smudging and I have found that it hardly goes onto my teeth, which off course is amazing!

Another thing that is cute about this lipstick is the way it is packaged and the logo that is put in on the lipstick. Presentation goes a long way with this product.

Super sexy color! I like the fact that even if you only layer it once, it still gives you that red that immediately makes you feel like a million dollars! One almost feels as if you need not to wear any other make-up and still look gorgeous! I agree fully with Sue that at that price it is absolutely well worth the buy! Great product!

As you know, I am a complete nut about essence cosmetics, they are awesome.
I bought this lipstick thinking I could get away with buying something reasonably priced for good value.
At First, I loved the rich red colour which only lasted an hour and then it smudged and didn't look very pretty.
I also didn't find it very moisturising because I found myself re-applying only too often. Lol, not to mention when it ended up on my teeth somehow hahahahaha

Overall I had fun but this was a once off purchase, will give it to mu niece to play dolly dress up.

So here I am once again reviewing an Essence product. Big surprise...haha. Essence loved by me for its high quality, variety, great price, divine colours in make-up and fragrances in body care products and of course the most important, that they do not test their products on animals!

I am quite hard on lipsticks and my lipsticks work quite hard. I constantly drink water (have to hydrate in this sweltering Durban summer), so I need something with staying power. Here are my thoughts on this product:

1) I love the black tube with its colour indicated in a ring around it. The Essence logo is also imbedded on the tip - looks really professional.
2) Once again the price rocks at R33.95.
3) There are 10 shades in this range which caters for every women and every mood.
4) The lipstick glides on and feel quite moisturising on the lips. No metallic taste or smell. (I hate lipsticks that feels dry or sticky on lips with a metallic taste or odour).
5) One has to clad the lips and re-apply. I did this about 5 times before I was satisfied that I had the right amount of colour on the lips. You can therefore layer from light to dark.
6) Staying power was medium. It lasted about 2 hours before I had to re-apply, keeping in mind that even most expensive long-lasting lipsticks last about the same time on my lips.

FINAL VERDICT: Worth to give a try at the price! Keep in handbag to re-apply up later during day! Feels good and looks good on lips! LIKE it!

I have this product in Femme Fatale which is a deep brownish-berry colour. This lipstick is sheer and glossy with no shimmer or glitter. It applies smoothly and has a very creamy texture. It has a sweet smell but its not overpowering. The colour is very office appropriate despite the name. I'd definitely buy this product again (this is my 2nd tube) and would try other colours which aren't too glitter.
