I suffer from sensitive skin and every winter my dry cracked knuckles ache with pain. I was finally introduced to this product after years of unrelieved agony. I cannot believe how incredible the results are. The next day there is total relief and my skin looks vibrant and feels amazing. Definitely worth the splurge of the price tag.
The product has a thick oily consistency with a very strong smell, making it not so pleasant to use.
I apply it before bed and can clearly feel the results in the morning.
I was a huge fan of this versatile beauty balm when it relaunched here back in the 90's, but ditched it after an ex boyfriend forbid me from using it because he had an aversion to it's distinctive scent. Thankfully my husband is more partial to the smell, so I've been enjoying rediscovering the many benefits of this iconic little wonder worker...
It's great for locking in moisture when lips are particularly parched; adding a natural glow to cheekbones, and shaping eyebrows. It's also useful for helping to heal cuts or burns, or soften stubborn dry spots on elbows or feet. I'm not wild about the fact that it contains chemicals like petrolatum, so I use it sparingly, but it's still a reliable bathroom cabinet icon that will never go out of fashion.
I have always been a huge fan of Eight Hour Cream, this cream from Elizabeth Arden has been my go-to when its Winter, and my lips/skin is dry and chapped!
I usually put some on at night (lips, elbows etc) , and the Vitamin E sinks right in with immediate soothing results.
But my favourite part of this specific Eight Hour cream, is the beautiful feminine packaging, with big letters: I ? Eight Hour®! Its the same price as the normal/original packaging eight hour cream (yay!). I have actually used this eight hour cream on the top of my hands, and a little on my nails if my hands are dry - but not your entire hand.
And just to top it off - the smell of Eight hour cream is distinct & really fabulous.
This is my emergency lip treatment. I keep it next to my bed and apply it every night before I go to sleep, and also, during winter when my lips are terribly chapped, I squeeze a little into a travel tub and use it during the day. It softens and repairs lips so quickly and really leaves them feeling soft and smooth.
My sister was on Roaccatan (not sure of correct spelling haha) for her skin, and this was the only thing that helped her lips when the meds dried out her skin horribly.
A tube lasts ages as well, as I am only on my second tube now, in 7 years!
I love the elizabeth arden brand and this product has reached cult status! Its a thick vaseliney type consistency multipurpose cream that can be a lip balm, elbow cream, cracked heel cream, intensive facial moisturiser, post bruise ointment, post sunburn healer and i am sure can be used for many more purposes!
I however cannot justify the price of this to myself and find the consistency too greasy and thick

I've been using this moisturizer for about two weeks now and I must say I love this product. It has a SPF 15 PA++(UVA protection factor between 4 and 8). It keeps my skin hydrated and smooth for the entire day. It is a bit pricey but well worth the spend.
I love this cream! Been using it for about 4 years and will still be buying it in 40 :-). It has a Vaseline like consistency and you only need a tiny bit for it to do the job. I use it on my lips, elbows and when I have scratches on my hands from my cat! I've also tried it in suumer when I had sunburn and it works like after sun lotion. I have one in my handbag and one at work.
It should be names 8 hour MIRACLE cream! This stuff works for sunburn, chapped lips, rosecea, a face treatment for dryskin, to mould my eyebrows so they stay in place all day...add a glossy treatment to my lip colour, insect bites...you name it I could find an applicable use for it. A product I must have that circulates between my mom and myself often...she should get her own bloody tube ;)
This is a must have item for anyone, man, woman, child, baby. I keep it in bag, in bathroom, in bedroom and use it for everyone at home, my daughter uses it every night on her lips, hands and knees before going to bed, I use it on baby when his skin is dry - its the best for dry skin with such pure ingredients does not harm his skin at all. Elizabeth Arden has a real winner in this product, lasts long so worth the price and it is not sticky, although it is thick enough consistency to give you a good coverage over any area it is applied to and skin feels immediately moisturised and comforted.
I always have a tube of Eight Hour Cream in my handbag. Leaves your lips soft and moisturised. What a wonderful product that has been around since the beginnig of time! Will always recomment this product to people as it is part of my everyday life! #cannotdowithout
This is must have for any girls handbag! Not only is it fragrance free but it is GREAT for your chapped lips. I use it on my lips every single day. I also mix it up with some of my lip glosses or lipsticks for colour. This product can help with chapping, flaking skin, soothe dry hands or cuticles, abrasions or sunburn.
