I was thrilled to receive the following three Cetaphil products via BB: Gentle Cleansing Lotion, Moisturising Cream and UVA/UVB Defense Sunscreen. These products came in a bag which perfectly fitted the products and which is perfect for travelling.

I wanted to wait as long as possible before posting my review in order to fully review the effect of the products and due to an untimely eye infection I have now noticed that I am late in posting my review! Eeeeeek I am so sorry BB!!

So without further delay, here are my thoughts:

Gentle Cleansing Lotion:

This cleansing lotion is suitable for all skin types and all ages and it specifically mentions that it would be suitable for sensitive skin.

There are two ways of using this product - with water or without water. Now with water I really struggled in using this product. Unfortunately it simply does not manage to remove my makeup and whilst it is very moisturising and does not leave your face feeling dry at all, I felt that I did not do a good job in the cleaning my face part. That being said, I think that this product would be wonderful to use for teens and/or people with extreme sensitive/dry skin as it really is very soothing. Using the product without water (applying it to your face directly and then wiping off the excess with a cotton pad) did however work out for me. I used it almost like a moisturising toner after washing my face which is nice for winter (and without the water it did in fact remove any excess makeup left after washing my face!).

Moisturising Cream

This moisturising cream is fragrance free, non-comedogenic (i.e it does not block pores) and lanolin (a substance/oil derived from sheep's wool)free. I enjoyed using this product as it's very light and not greasy. I started using the product whilst I had a bad skin breakout and my skin has since cleared up with no further problems.

UVA/UVB Defense Sunscreen

This sunscreen is fragrance free, also non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic. As I have a very fair skin I am always keen for any SPF 50 and this sunscreen has 7 UV filters and 1 physical blocker to protect against the sun. My skin is dry so for me this product absorbed fairly quickly and it's not too greasy. I could not fully review the effects in a sunny hot day (it's winter in Cape Town with endless rain currently...), so I am looking forward to using it more in summer!.

Now girls, here comes the really honest part (please forgive me dear BB fairies!): I was a bit surprised to find that these products are so pricey. Now if the products resulted in any noticeable improvement or change in my skin condition or appearance I would have obviously not minded the price as it's not THAT expensive. But honestly, from the packaging I assumed these products would price in the cheaper line of products (this sounds really harsh, but meaning that the packaging is just very clean and simple and does not scream "I am worth more!").

Maybe if the products contained any additional beneficial skin care ingredients it could have been justified? Sadly, it does not appear to (although I am no expert and maybe someone can clarify it for me?!)and therefore I remain puzzled by the price.

This is however only my opinion and review - as stated above these products may work wonderfully for teens or people with extremely sensitive/dry skin (please note I do have dry skin which tends towards sensitivity and rosacea).

was really excited to try this product but unfortunately was a bit disappointed as my skin got worse after using it. I broke out on my face and had to consult a doctor as my skin was out of control. To scared to carry on using it after this experience.
