Yardley SuperMoist Lipsticks

This new range of SuperMoist Lipsticks is the improved formula of the previous range of SuperMoist lipsticks. It has a soft-touch lip fomula that comes in a large variety of both matt and glossy shades. This lipstick is suppose to be highly moisturising and contains SPF 20 sunscreen that protects lips from sun damage. On Yardley’s website it says that this lipstick is scented with soothing lavender oil. The lipcolour I have is in Coral Passion, a very bright, matte coral colour.

This lipstick is SUPER, SUPER pigmented. I can’t exaggerate how pigmented this lipstick is. I’m not sure if it’s super pigmented because of the colour I got it in, or if it’s their whole range of SuperMoist Lipsticks, but the coral lipstick is so pigmented it appears like a neon coral colour on my lips. It’s definitely a first time for me trying such a bright coral lipstick. It is so pigmented that if after I dabbed my lips a few times with tissues, the lipstick colour still stains my lips. I think this is perfect for ladies who love to have stained lips so they can just reapply lipgloss throughout the day.

I don’t find this lipstick particularly moisturising, although it definitely does not dry out my lips like some other drugstore lipsticks I have used. I’m very surprised that this lipstick does not bleed (when lipcolour spreads pass the outline of your lips) even though it’s a very bright lipstick, so a lipliner is not needed. I would however recommend you to apply this lipstick with a lip brush as it will help the lipstick get into the crevices of your lips. If you don’t like the matte finish, you could always apply lipgloss over.

I like the bright, metallic hot pink packaging this lipstick comes in, but this colour is so pigmented that I feel that it’s not very wearable unless you can pull off really bright lips. I know for my skin tone and facial structure, I do not pull off very bright colours easily. A bright red is pushing it for me already, and I prefer to wear more eyeshadow and emphasize less on the lips.
