Yadley loose translucent powder

I absolutely adore this powder. It’s one of the most affordable but quality translucent powders I have found.

It sets make up really well and blends very easily.

My only complaint is that the powder is very messy and the packaging isn’t the easiest to use. I prefer not to use the included applicator and rather use a big soft powder brush.

Otherwise really a fantastic product.

This powder is great to work with. It buffs in well into the skin giving a nice flawless finish and does not excessively matify (which causes the cakey look). I’m absolutely in love and it’s currently my go to setting powder.

I also use it to blend my makeup together (final step after highlighting and contouring just to set my whole face as well) works like magic!

I really enjoy this translucent setting powder. It was my first purchase for a setting powder and til to this day I am in love. Plus it smells real good.

I have this powder in the shade Translucent and I have been using it for months now and it just won't get any less. This product will last you forever. I swear it's magic or something. I use it for baking and setting and it works wonderfully.

I only wish the powder was a tad finer. It is a great product for the drugstore but I would prefer it to be a little finer and a little softer. It can also look quite heavy on my skin as I have drier skin, if I don't set it with a setting spray.

I have tried the Yardley Translucent Power and it works well for me. I am currently still using this amazing powder.

I have used this powder since it first came out in South Africa and I love it. Having oily skin means that my makeup can go from glam to oil slick within an hour, depending on the weather at the time. However, with this powder, I can keep looking fabulous from the time of application until the time I need to remove my makeup.

I love that it absorbs the excess oil on my face, but doesn't alter my look at all.

I have repurchased this powder so many times! I love this for baking under the eyes, setting concealer or making sure my entire base lasts all day (especially when it's hot)
Only downside I have is that I don't really like the smell but it doesn't bother me too much as you can't smell it after applying! Works on many different skin tones, definitely recommend you try it out. You get SO much powder as well, lasts forever!

So I've been using Yardley for a while now and i have to admit that the powder isn't as bad, it has an amazing smell and it helps mattify my foundation perfectly, its nice and translucent when dusting over the fact but also when using to bake it gives you a brightening effect.. Would highly recommend from my side

This mattefying face powder is by far my favorite and much prefer it to the pressed compact powders as it just goes so well with all my foundations that I currently use when I’m doing my make up routine

In all honesty, this product would be amazing if it didn't smell like an old lady's perfume.
The setting on the skin is really great though.

Even though this product is translucent, I find that when I use it under my eyes to set my concealer, the white shows in photos and I look spooky. Other than that, I have no other problems, works well on my skin apart from my eyes, and helps with the oiliness.

This powder is great for baking and it’s very lightweight. I do however find it to be ashy sometimes and having to find myself spritzing some facial mist or setting spray to take away the ashiness. I’m happy it doesn’t cause flash back though.

This product is suitable for any skin tone and gives skin a mattifying, soft finish, whilst the translucent powder gives a natural and dewy finish to any skin tone.,

I am currently using it and Its my holy grail, love it. I don't think i'll be changing to another product anytime soon.

I use this product daily for the last 8 years. It is light on my skin and do the job.

My skin is not really oily and find the product not drying out my skin.

I am not so crazy about the sponge (I feel it could be thicker) but use it or use a brush to apply the powder.

All in all a great product and will keep using it! Will recommend it to anyone!

I must admit I was drawn to the packaging and colour of the powder
A beautiful soft nude pink. When I opened it(@ home)it also smelled great! I'm just a make up lover so I'm not a professional when it comes to make up. However I found it easy to apply and it looked exactly like I envisioned it should after application.

My under eye are was smooth, no bumps and no caking! I really love the product

Genuinely this product has become my fav. My concealer creases quite easily, however using this powder to set my under eye concealer has left me crease free. I don't really use it anywhere else but my under eye.

Con: I'm not really a fan of the sponge that it comes with. Doesn't allow for easy application

However still a fan of this product, it gets the job done

I have been using this powder for almost 4 years now, and I have to say there is just something about it that keeps having me come back to it. I've tried a view other brands, but this one just stays the best. It applies really easily and thanks to the sifter, it doesn't make a huge mess. The price point is quite good, but the colour range is not really sufficient. I use the lightest shade, so that doesn't really bother me.

The only negative I gave, is that the powder tends to emphasize dark circles under the eyes - it is not really suitable for baking the under eyes, as it makes your skin seem grey and lifeless! On other ares of the face, the powder gets the job done though.

I recently purchased the Yardley loose translucent powder in the shade buff. I was skeptical at first, as I've never used a loose powder before.
I found it a bit messy, especially when applying the powder using the sponge it comes with, so I prefer using a kabuki brush. The shade buff is definitely lighter than my skin color, so I was worried that it would leave my face looking ashy, but it didn't, instead it minimized the shine my liquid foundation gave me and also created a smooth finish to my make up. My foundation also lasted much longer than usual. You can also use this powder for baking, although I haven't tried it yet. I purchased mine from Edgars for R149,99, but they are available at Clicks and Dischem as well.

Im not a big powder kind of girl but my foundation that I really like matches my shade very well and fills in my pores beautifully is giving a very dewy look. I am a fan of dewy but not this much so I decide to try out a new powder and wanted a translucent one because as I said I like the shade of my foundation and dont want that to change.

When I tried the Yadley loose translucent powder I was so happy that I finally got my foundation to sit the way I want it to. The shade hasnt changed at all, even though the powder is a pinky kind of shade, my foundation color looks the same. It has created such a beautiful, matt appearance and it lasts all day. I do have dry skin though and if I dont put face cream on and prime the skin the powder can make my skin a little flaky, but I always prep my skin so I dont come across that problem.

I highly recommend this powder if you want a perfectly matt face. I got mine from Clicks but I did see it at Dischem as well.

I bought this product some time ago and it is incredible.

I have very oily skin so my concealer (no matter which brand I use) creases and my eyeshadow fades away after some time. I decided to get a loose powder to set my eye area and I found this one on sale at Clicks. At first, I tested the 'coloured' ones and I found one that perfectly matches my skin tone. Unfortunately, Clicks did not have this particular one in stock.

I decided to try out the translucent powder. I was quite scared at first because I have a medium to dark skin tone and, because the powder in white, I thought it may leave an ashy/grey layer on my skin.

I was wrong. This product comes in a large tub with an application sponge (which I don't use). Initially, I applied this product with a fluffy brush to set my under eye concealer and eyeshadow primer. It blends really well into my skin and does not leave an ashen look. It also mattifies the area and prevents shine and oiliness.

It is long-lasting and only a little powder is needed. My concealer did not creases and my eyeshadow stayed put for most of the day (this is huge for someone with ridiculously oily skin). It also has a great scent and does not give my face a powdery look.

I got mine for R97 (on sale) which is inexpensive compared to other loose setting powders. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a setting powder and especially for those with oily skin.

Absolutely love this by accident I bought a shade too dark but it lasts quite long and has a slight hint of shimmer .

Will definitely try the translucent next as that way I can't go wrong.

I use translucent powder daily and sets my makeup beautifully. I don't use the application sponge that it comes with. I use a big fluffy makeup brush. It lasts all day. Gorgeous!

I have been using this powder for years. It is just awesome. It is so easy to work with, blends well, and is the best setting powder for me. The powder is very light, has a soft and lovely scent and leaves my skin feeling and looking really silky. A tub also lasts an age because you really don't need to use a lot at all. Highly recommended!

Great for setting foundation and under the eyes so it doesn't crease. It feels great and not powdery on my face. It is translucent on my skin tone but I don't know how "translucent" it will be on darker skin tones. It is great for the price you pay

I sometimes struggle with rather oily skin but ever since I started to use this powder it really covers up the oily complexion.
It helps to set my foundation for most of the day, not like other loose powders that only lasts a few days. This irritant-free formulation is gentle on my skin, and provides a beautiful matte finish.

I usually just lightly brush it all over my skin with a large brush to ensure a shine-free, matte complexion.

An absolutely awesome fine powder that is translucent and blends well into your skin. Keeps shine at bay and is long lasting with a fresh scent.

This is on my regular list. I love it and I always have a tub with me where ever I go. It comes in Translucent Buff and Bare. The Bare seems to have more of a pinkish shade.
I use this each morning and it leaves my skin looking fresh and takes away any oiliness.
It has a very light fragrance, which is perfect for powders. I have noticed that when you are in the sun, the powder gives of a slight shimmer. This is only visible in the sun though. LOL, my husband teases me and asks if I am a vampire because I sparkle in the sunlight LOL

This is my life saver! every product which needs a Matte Effect gets brushed on with this beauty!It gives my skin a silky finish with no oilyness or sticky feeling. It has a lovely smell and gives my skin a very nice glow as well.

Absolute Translucent is absolutely fabulous!!! I have tried so many (expensive!) powders and this one does the job (even better than most). And I need 'industrial strength' for my shiny skin! Smells lovely too.
