The Comfort Zone palette is awesome. Wet and Wild makes lovely shimmery colours. They do have a bit of fallout but I can over look this because you can still apply them with ease. I use this palette all the time.
I bought 3 trio palettes and the shimmers were good but the mattes were terrible. They were dry and powdery and took ages to get them to show up properly. I stopped buying the trios after this. I must add that these were the brightly coloured trios so my expectations were for bold vibrant colour.
Well I’ve being gone for all of a minute and I’ve missed this platform more than anything (let’s blame it on the winter season). Today I wanted to review an affordable eyeshadow palette by Wet n Wild. This particular palette is their Melrose at Night palette. I’m a lover of neutral tones and a subtle smokey eye, and this palette gives me exactly the effect I need. It has a shimmer effect on the eyes, which works wonders and the eyes are then able to pop with the shimmer of colour. The beauty of the Wet n Wild Eyeshadow palettes is that the packaging gives you instructions on how to use the palette (picture inserted). So you don’t need to be a makeup artist / guru in order to get the desired effect.Weekdays when I’m always rushing to work, I basically use 2 colours from the palette. I use the golden brown colour (marked 1 on the hand swatch)to go all over my eyelid and then I would get my Minerals Eyeshadow in the colour Chestnut, which I use for the center of my eyelid (this is an amazing gold colour). I would then close it off with the deep purple colour (marked 2 on the hand swatch) for my outer corners of my lids.
I got 2 of these trios at a half price sale and I chose Silent Treatment and Sweet as candy. My favourite has to be Silent treatment. I love the eyelid shade in this pallet. The crease colour is a little dark for me but I can live with it. I like that the pans are labelled, I'm still an amateur when it comes to the art of make up application ( even though I own more make up than a make up artist lol)
The colours are quite pigmented and last the whole day which is great. It has just the right amount of shimmer for my age too!
The WetnWild trio’s are buttery and pigmented and I use the palettes at least once a week. My favorite is Knock on Wood and Walking on Eggshells. On the back of the shadow it has a small picture guiding you on how to apply the shades. Each colour is embossed with wording “Eyelid” “Crease” and “Brow-bone” to guide you to apply on corresponding areas for the eye. They all come with a sponge tip applicator and a tiny brush.
I just love the WetnWild palettes they are very affordable and are available at Clicks. All the colours are quite pretty and they were dummy proof for me. The colours are well coordinated with one another. I love reaching for the different palettes for my office look, I generally steer away from bold colours. I would highly recommend these palettes especially for those who are on a budget.
The packaging is kind of standard. I like that they "engrave" each color according to where it should be applied. It's not chalky and lasts reasonably long. I prefer a shadow with a bit more pigment. I would repurchase but it's not my absolute fav.
I use this palette everyday. The colors are absolutely gorgeous. It is very pigmented and so buttery. It blends nicely. It is easy to understand what goes where but it can also be switched up. All the wet n wild palettes I have used I really liked but this one I love.
This is my Holy Grail Drugstore Eyeshadow Palette. I reach for this almost everyday! The Shadows are creamy and blend like a dream. Perfect for a natural day look and add some black eyeliner for a bright eyed evening look. These Wet n Wild eye shadows are beautiful value for money- great for a BB on a budget!
this product is lovely! I love the fact that it shows you exactly where to put the colours on your eyes and It lasts nice and long, its got a light shimmer to it
This is currently my favourite eyeshadow, the lovely Candice got it for me as a gift and I am obsessed with it, it is perfectly priced so it doesn't hit your pocket, plus it is simple to use and the colours are highly pigmented, so you getting long lasting colour with the help of an eyeshadow primer. Walking on Eggshells is a very neutral colour with both matte and shimmer colour so it is perfect for a day time look and a night time look.
I love these palettes though i wish they brought the 6 pan palettes called lust and greed as that has 3 mattes and 3 shimmer shades.Walking on eggshells colours are gorgeous but seem a bit to shimmery to wear during the day.I love mixing my shadows so i use the eyelide colour from this palette which i love!!! and i use a matte colour (Mac Expresso,Mac Soft Brown) on the crease for a a balanced look.I use the crease colour in this palette in the outer V of the eye to create a little shimmer look and darken the out V as well...I love that as an evening look :) I do find that if you do not use an eye primer, the colours fade away as the day goes on...Its best to use an eye primer! I use my Mac paint pot OR the Urban Decay Primer or even some eye concealer on your eyelids! That really holds on that eyeshadow throughout the day!
