I fell in love with these products from day one and I can honestly say it works!!!
My favourite product is the leave in treatment which you can use just before you blow dry or style.

reverse system in deed! I like to apply conditioner before shampoo as this creates more volume. (read about this in a magazine and many celebs do this) and once all products are washed out I apply the leave in treatment. I do not blow my hair but use Velcro rollers and just let my hair dry naturally. The volume is incredible!!!

Every now and then I check at Dischem, Takelot and Checkers for discounts on this product because I like to have a few bottles on hand. if you hair needs a volume touch up, just apply a little on your hands, rub into hair (focus on the ends) and I use a curling iron to restyle. Love it.

Not so fond of the mousse because I feel it causes a product build up much quicker.

TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Collection
I have very fine hair and this collection is truly fantastic gives my hair the volume and body that its lacking.

Also known as prepoo or pre conditioner.
Washing your hair is a damaging process & pre poo is to the rescue!

Benefits:
• Hydrates oily & dry hair
• Preserves hair follicles so it does not
recede and grows healthier
• Maintains treatments
• Saves hair from tangling & breaking

How to use:
• Wet your hair and apply product
• Apply the prepoo & leave on for about
two minutes
• Follow with a shampoo and conditioner
• Skip the conditioning step if desired

While the product did not give me extra volume (Or maybe I have extremely flat hair), it is a great product to help nourish and make hair more manageable, Saves you a ton of time when styling.

Here are my thoughts:

Overall, I feel the system can be a little bit confusing. Why? Because the system works in reverse. This basically means you would start off by conditioning your hair instead of shampooing it first. This prevents your hair from being weighed down and is supposed to give your hair a lighter and voluminous feel.

Conditioner: extremely lightweight and not as heavy as most conditioners. I love that this did not leave my hair feeling oily and very flat, as I have curly hair so I love wearing a conditioner that does not take the curls away.

Shampoo: The smell of both the shampoo and conditioner was amazing. The only thing that stood out and was a bit different was that the shampoo was pump activated, while the conditioner was a normal bottle. Usually with most of the TRESemme products I've used, both bottles are fairly similar, they just vary in colour. Other than that, can't fault step 1 and 2.

Mousse: This was the only product out of the range that I had a problem with. In my YouTube video you can clearly see I struggle to use the mousse because the spray cap was so stiff. The other problem I had was that the mousse was very sticky, so much so that I had to get up to wash my hands while filming because everything my hands touched, would end up sticking to. It was just a minor mishap but did the job it was supposed to.

Hair Maximizer: I was a bit confused as to how this product was supposed to be used, but after figuring it out, I assumed it was something similar to a blow-dry conditioner which added extra bounce to your hair. It worked, so it impressed me a lot!

Overall I can honestly say that this range really does work. It gave my hair so much bounce and life. I am OBSESSED with this product and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to try it. I was fortunate to attend the Cape Town launch, introducing the NEW TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume collection. They revealed the revolutionary new reverse wash hair care system, of which I had not heard of before.

Honestly, I was skeptical at first about this reverse system, but the presentation by the Unilever team and Celebrity stylist Chris Naseli was very informative, showcasing how the technology works with the reverse system and the amazing results after using the products.
Obviously I was super excited to test the products out and see whether the demonstrations were true and accurate, and see the real results.

Using the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Pre-Wash Conditioner, Step 1:
I use 4 pumps of the pre-wash conditioner even though my hair sits above my shoulders, as I‘ve tested using less but did not feel like I had enough product in my hair. I leave it in for a few minutes and then wash it out thoroughly. My hair feels uber soft, so light and silky but with definite volume straight away. Every time!

Then go on to Step 2..
Using the TRESemmé Beauty-Full Volume Shampoo, Step 2:
The texture of the shampoo is amazing. A lot goes a long way and makes a beautiful mousse effect, so soft and fluffy I want to eat it! This is my best part ;) My hair feels full of volume. I then wash the shampoo out once it’s been for a decent enough time.

Last step: Beauty-Full Volume Hair Maximizer
I roughly towel dry the excess water out and spray on the TRESemmé Heat Defence Styling Spray, I have always used this to protect my hair from heat (hair dryer and iron). I then use a decent amount of the Hair Maximizer through my damp hair, trying to smooth it from root to tip. I then dry my hair. My hair does not feel greasy as all. This maximizer keeps the hair light and not sticky. I am not the best at blow-drying my hair so I do not get as much volume as expected but I like how my hair feels and it looks healthier.

I am really enjoying using these products, being pleasantly surprised after my initial hesitation. As a test, I have used other shampoos and conditioners as well, just to see the difference, and really see if the reverse system is superior. The other products and brands are just as good, but I have not come across the same silky, light feeling as the reverse system gives my hair. My hair feels lighter, smoother and silkier and does not get knotty. The one thing that usually grates me in winter is when I wear scarves or pashmina’s, my hair usually gets quite knotty. Since using this reverse system my hair never gets knotted. Not even after shampooing, and I really get in there with the mousse. The comb just glides through. The only negative is I am not getting an abundance of volume that I had expected which is disappointing, but as mentioned before, I put that down to my very average blow-drying “technique” or lack of.

My hair definitely feels great and looks pretty good too, so I am happy. Now, I just need to learn how to do a great blow-dry and create an abundance of volume and bounce like Chris Naseli does so well!
