the first time i tried this product, i had damp hair, put a bit of this in my hair, left it to air dry. my hair was not silky smooth like i thought it would be, it felt very dry. and not dry, as in the obvious dry, but my hair literally felt like the life was sucked out of it, especially at the ends. my ends are not dry, in general, and its always smooth but once i put this in my hair and rub the ends of my hair together, it really makes that "straw-like" sound, if that made any sense whatsoever. lol
