The Scarlet Foam
HotI am a user of shower gels, I love to use shower gel and to be honest I don't particularly purchase Lux shower gels. So when I recieved my bottle of Lux Scarlet Blossom I was curious and very much excited to use the product. I didn't realise that the name "Scarlet Blossom" was not just simply to give the shower gel a name but also applied to the colour of the gel. It is in fact scarlet in colour. At this point I am impressed with this scarlet gel in my loafer. So on the bottle you are provided with clear instructions to use a loofah with this gel. I found that you required quite a bit of the gel for it to lather. The pack says that the main ingredient is Egyptian flower, which I found to be rather overpowering. Don't get me wrong, it smells great but you know what they say about too much of a good thing. Due to the overpowering perfume of the gel I did find that it lasted for quite some time, which I found to be rather impressive. A con however was the lid of the bottle. I found that it didn't close properly for some reason and there was always some of the gel lift in the lid, which meant that if you didn't give it a wipe after use it would collect around the lid and become rather unpleasant. Another con, I started using the product in winter and as we all know in winter skin tends to become drier. I found that with continued use of the shower gel my skin became very dry and I would seriously have to slather my skin in moisturiser. On the a whole not a bad product for the price, but I do feel that the fragrance could be made a bit weaker, the lid of the bottle needs a serious rethink and more moisturing agents need to be put in the gel.
