I know this scrub is by no means new to The Body Shop, but I received this as one of my Secret Santa Gifts and for some reason I've never tried it before. I've used the Coconut Body Scrub and the Wild Cherry Body Scrub, but never this one. I can officially say this is my new favourite scrub. Ever.

Firstly - this is a sugar scrub, so it already won points on that alone. I adore sugar scrubs and no scrub can compare to a sugar scrub in my opinion. ;) The texture is course, the consistency is oily and the scent is INCREDIBLE. I honestly can't get enough of the smell. It's a slightly nutty and sweet scent. When I open this tub it makes me happy. I can't believe I've never experienced the wonders of this scent at the body shop.

Right, on to the texture. I find this scrub to be very course and it exfoliates fantastically. My skin feels like satin after stepping out the shower. However there are definitely two ways to use this scrub and one is slightly more effective than the other. If applied to wet skin the sugar granules melt into your skin and dissolve quite fast. Your skin feels exfoliated but doesn't feel rough or abrasive. You also feel the oily consistency quite a bit. The second way is to apply it to dry skin. It's a little bit harder to rub in and you might feel like you're wasting product, but this is more rough - so it feels like a good scrubbing has taken place. Your skin isn't left with a slightly oily feeling and rinses off with ease.

So, of the two application methods I generally prefer the former for two main reasons. I like applying the scrub at the end of my shower/bath so my skin is left smelling like shea. (yummy!) and I like that slightly oily feeling on my skin. It has a lovely moisturising effect. I don't even need to use body butter after using this scrub. But what I do like to do is use the dry method on my knees and elbows as they generally need more attention. I'm so glad I now have a firm favourite at TBS. A product I can't shower without.
