Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara

I recently received the Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara from the lovely ladies of the BB Team. I generally tend to have small eye lashes that hide behind my glasses so was keen to try this out as soon as I got it in the post. The Smashbox brand is known for high quality products, and didn't fail to disappoint with this mascara.

The product itself comes in an elegantly cased box (as seen in the photo below). I wasn't too impressed with the wand either upon first appearances, but the black mascara does work quite well in opening my eyes up. It does not however have 'waterproof' listed as one of the benefits, but upon washing my face with water it didn't come off very easily. And so it certainly wont leave smudge marks on my glasses either!

Overall I was quite impressed with the Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara.

There is no makeup product I love more than mascara and the Smashbox Photo Op Eye Brightening Mascara is no exception. I must confess that initially I was skeptical about this mascara when I first opened up the tube and saw the wand. I was thrilled to be proved wrong from the first moment I used this mascara. I can definitely vouch for the no smudging and no flaking and with just one coat my lashes looked bolder, longer and slightly curled! I did not particularly notice much difference to the whites of my eyes but all the other benefits had me sold! Way to go Smashbox...

I like how this mascara looks it is black, it has a skinny wand(I was sceptic ad first seeing how skinny the wand is) It has white naming. To me this looks really smart.
My Experience Using The Smashbox photo op eye brightening mascara.

I didn't notice anything different with the whites in my eyes(as I expected) but oh boy my lashes looks much longer and it definitely doesn't clump my lashes at all, like I found other brands tend to do. So much length it’s amazing. It didn't smudge at all exactly what Smashbox claimed to do.I really do like this mascara I think it does a really good job in giving me long lashes. I wouldn't say it’s the best on the market but it’s above average.

This mascara is not all it makes out to be. First of all the brush isn't great and it's difficult to avoid clumps. I had to avoid 2 coats for a good effect, and even then I' not sure my eyes were "brightened". It's fairly pricey, so you expect it to be pretty good, but I have to say I was disappointed. I usually love Smashbox, but I wouldn't go for this mascara!

SmashBox Photo Op Eye Brightner brightens eyes to smoulder away the chill of winter. This mascara targets not only lashes but the whole presentation of the eye area for an added bonus ;)
