SMASHBOX CAMERA READY BB CREAM EYES BROAD SPECTRUM SPF 15

I know this product is meant for dark circle and puffiness around the eyes but I have neither (I hope it stays that way hehe) so I decided to use my Smashbox BB Cream for Eyes on blemishes and red marks on my face, it's a slightly thicker consistency then the Smashbox BB cream so I thought it would be perfect to add extra coverage to the marks that the BB cream didn't quite make disappear and it worked brilliantly!
I have no doubt that it works just as well around the eyes!
And I love the compact twist applicator brush!

I'm not sure if Smashbox has a blemish cover stick but this works perfectly as one!

The late nights causes dark circles, wrinkles and dullness under my eyes. Since I was younger, this was my routine and I've become so used to it that I can't seem to shake this nasty habit. Luckily for me, I received the Smashbox BB Cream for Eyes!

The Smashbox BB Cream for Eyes is a 5 in 1 product that claims to prime, protect, conceal, hydrate and illuminate!

This BB cream for has it all! It has the benefits of a Beauty Balm Cream and the benefits of a primer, sunblock, concealer and a highlighter for the under eye area. Overtime, this product claims to fade the look of dark circles.

This BB Cream comes in 5 different shades such as Fair, Light, Light/Medium, Medium, Dark. A colour to suit every skin tone. This product is also great for contouring the brow bone and other areas, by choosing a darker or lighter shade to your skin tone it could easily be used for slimming and enhancing certain facial features.

With a twist up mechanism and a brush applicator, this product is so simple to apply. I like the fact that I don't need to touch the product with my fingers because no one likes messy products.

I have a thing for black packaging, I think it looks so classy and sophisticated. The packaging is black with white and red text. It's practical and convenient on those days you need to rush out the door and apply your makeup in the car. The tube is sleek and great for your handbag for touch-ups later in the day.

My experience using the Smashbox BB Cream for Eyes:
I usually give the product three twists and once the product appears on the brush, I would brush the product in an upside down triangle shape underneath each eye. Once I have enough product underneath my eyes, I would take my beauty sponge and blend the product in. This BB Cream for Eyes blends in really well. In fact, it blends so well that If I use it without using a foundation you would never say that I have product under my eyes because the colour matches my skin tone perfectly and when blending it out, it looks flawless. I noticed that when I apply this product without using a primer or setting powder, the product would seep into my wrinkles and create these lines under my eyes, which is kind of a disappointment. It's not a major train smash, though.

I can 100% agree with the fact that this product does in fact hydrate the under eye area. I have sensitive skin and eczema around my eye area and this product doesn't flare up my skin and it provides enough moisture to keep my under eye area looking hydrated.

Seeing that this product matches my skin tone perfectly, It doesn't look like it illuminates my under eye area really. It is somewhat lighter because the concealer quality of this BB Cream hides my dark circles.

I've used this BB Cream to cover up pimples and scarring and it provided really good coverage over those pests.

I love the fact that this BB Cream for Eyes has a SPF of 15. I would've liked it to be a bit more but then actually thinking about it, I think it's good that it has an SPF of 15 because I know that products with SPF reflects the light (when using a flash for images) and that causes like a white cast over the areas that has SPF products on it. But some sort of SPF is good as well.

The scent of this products smells a bit like a sunblock but the scent is kind to the nostrils lol.

Overall, I really enjoyed using this product. The only two cons about this product is that it retails for R 325.00 and the product is only a 3.5ml and the fact that if I use this product without a primer or setting powder, it tends to seep into my wrinkles even though this products claims to work as a primer. The price might put some people off (it definitely put me off lol) but it seems to be worth it judging from the few weeks that I've been using it.

The Smashbox Camera Ready BB Eye Cream is everything I've looked for in this particular product type. I can use it as a corrector and illuminator while hydrating, protecting and perfecting my skin. Its literally become my new favourite make-up must have!

I love this cute nifty product that fits perfectly into my compact cosmetic case. I love the twist bottom that conveniently and carefully pushes out the product into the brush. It worked beautifully from the instant I tried it out. I was able to lightly and evenly build layers of product onto my skin without it caking, or leaving my skin feeling heavy. It did everything it promised and left me feeling completely satisfied.

This product is slightly more expensive compared to other more commercialized products in its range. But, it's definitely worth the buy! You can't go wrong. Its great for touch ups during a long day too! I just love it!

I am one of the miserable few, who no matter how hard I try to make sure my lifestyle is always healthy and well balanced so my skin will radiate and glow, never manage to escape the raccoon eye effect! My facial skin is in pretty good condition all things considered, but my under eye area is another story. I always seem to be walking around like my eyeliner and mascara have run. Any under eye concealers I have used sit caked in the lines under my eyes, doing nothing to reduce the dark circles and puffiness problems permanently. The telltale signs of ageing, balancing a stressful work and family life as well as bad genes are always encircling my precious eyes. If the saying "Your eyes are the windows to your soul" is anything to go by, mine is always dark and gloomy. :-(

Now that's a novel concept I thought but I was keen to try it out if would help in my quest to solve my dark circles issues! Thanks to Beauty Bulletin and Smashbox, my world has totally transformed!

The BB Eye cream comes in a slick black box in the Smashbox signature colours of Red, Black and White. The koki pen like tube echoes the same colour scheme with the shade of the BB Cream on the rim. I chose a light shade as the rest of my skin is pretty fair and stands out in huge contrast to my under eye area, so I wanted it to conceal as much as it could. Just one click and swipe of the magic marker under my eyes on thoroughly cleansed skin and it does the trick of blurring the complexion uneveness I had with the rest of my face. The formula is not thick and blends well and easily leaving no evidence of it's existence on your skins surface. That's something completely foreign to me as I always have to lather on concealer to notice a difference.

Over the two week period that I have used the BB Cream, I have also noticed a reduction in puffiness and my delicate eye area looks moisturised and lighter too. No need to use serums or any sun protection during the day as it comes built in with SPF 15 as well as Blemish Balm properties.

The BB Cream for eyes is a new innovation in the eye treatment world but definitely keeps up to its hype and reputation. It is a bit on the pricey side but comes from a high end, good quality brand so it is something I recommend and will continue to purchase for myself. Hope my dramatic Before and After picture will convince you too!

The product itself is amazing. It is an all in one product.

It does not need a primer or setting powder.

The formula is well absorbed, and the colour I selected blended perfectly in.

I did not need to add more concealer.

The product boasts amazing benefits:-

· Fades the look of dark circles instantly and over time
· Reduces the appearance of puffiness
· Visibly smoothes fine lines and wrinkles
· Noticeably improves firmness

Plus:
· Primes, protects, conceals, hydrates and illuminates!

I believe they are right.

Will buy another:)

Won't buy again, I find it doesn't cover my dark circles as much as I'd like.
