Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream

I have used the revlon b cream previously but smashbox i adore because it isn't heavy, blends well and allows my skin to breathe. Its a bit pricier than other bb creams but i think it's worth it. I am definitely a die-hard smashbox fan because their range and quality is impressive

I was one of the lucky members selected to review the Smashbox Camera Ready BB cream. As life turned out that week I had an unfortunate incident with my phone, which resulted in a video review being excluded and hence me giving some feedback in the form of a written review.

Let's start with the visual product and packaging. As usual, Smashbox has a unique brand and I do love the simple black packaging. I live a busy lifestyle and I loved the convenience of a BB cream with a SPF 35 and camera ready properties - which eliminates 2 steps in my beauty regime. (Happy days!)
I have a dry skin, so my first impression was that it was not hydrating enough to use just with my moisturiser. I still used my primer. I suspect the product will be great for those suffering from oily skin.
The finish is very light and didn't cover all of my pigmentation - so I still used a concealer for blemishes. I also used my foundation over the BB cream for days I needed more coverage.

All in all it is a good product. It didn't meet all my requirements due to my dry skin. But in defence of the product - I have not found a BB cream or foundation that works well with my skin without a few additional hydrating products.

It was a pleasure reviewing the product and I look forward to using this product when I go on holiday in December - as this would be an essential to avoid foundation, get my SPF dose AND be camera ready for the holiday pics!!! :-)

I have never used a Smashbox product before, thought I've heard only good things about this brand. I did not know there was such a thing as 'Camera Ready' BB cream. I would love to know how much this product costs, though? Typically BB creams do not provide enough coverage for photographs... So I'd be interested in testing this one out. BB cream has become a staple in my make-up bag, and if this is as good as it claims to be, it's definitely worth investing in. Cannot wait to try! I wonder how many colours it comes in? Anyone know?

I absolutely love this BB cream. I just recently started really getting into makeup and i watched a video on you tube in which the makeup artist used the Smashbox BB cream so i thought to give it a try. Its easy to apply and can be worn with or without powder. I have a combination skin and found that the product complimented my skin and gave me enough coverage for daily use with out looking like i had plastered my face with product!! I would definitely recommend this product as it is now part of my daily routine that i will not be able to live with out.

I really enjoy this product because it delivers which is so important. The cream does not leave your skin looking oily or overdone, it looks natural but delivers an amazing flawless skin. Love the fact that it has SPF35 in too

I have been longing to try out the new BB Cream trend and of all of them the Smashbox BB Cream appealed to me the most as it boasts a whopping SPF35 which is a huge priority to me. I was very sceptical as I do like a heavier than average coverage and I was expecting BB Creams to just be glorified tinted moisturisers, however I was amazed by the coverage which this provided. The first time I wore this cream I didn’t use a powder over it (I normally always dust with loose powder) and that was a mistake, I felt greasy and sticky all day, however the next day I powdered and the result was perfect.
