Sleek i-Divine Mineral based Eyeshadow Palette
HotThis mineral eyeshadow palette I think I bought almost a year ago at Edgars. I recently noticed that this brand is sold in both Foschini and Edgars now. I believe it’s a UK-based company that manufactures this brand, and is widely used in Europe. I originally bought this palette because I was so shocked to see it only cost R47.99 (if I remember correctly) in that month of Cosmopolitan magazine. I was like OMG!! But I thought to myself, 12 eyeshadows for under 50 bucks? You’re kidding me right? Must be some crappy eyeshadow if drugstore products like Maybelline sell 4 eyeshadow quads for R100. But then I thought I’d just go swatch them anyway, just to prove that I’m right. OMG! I was so surprised!!!! The eyeshadows are very VERY PIGMENTED! Only one swipe and the colour was intense and blended easily. I was like HOLY MOLY 12 eyeshadows for R47.99 if I don’t buy this I know I’ll slap myself later. So I bought it and am still in love with it. There were only 2 palettes at the time I purchased mine: “Storm” and “The Original 594”. I bought the “Original” one because “Storm” had a lot of shimmery neutral colours which I already had a lot of. “Original” had different shades of green, blue, purples, pinks and champagne, which I did not have in my makeup collection. .With a wet brush I get a more dramatic look.. I love the shimmers in the shadows ,its basically one of the things i look for when buying eyeshadow.. Highly recommendable product.
These are mineral based eyeshadows and honestly a little goes a long way, if you have too much product on your brush you are going to get fall out, instead I prefer to have the tiniest amount on my brush and then adding more if necessary.
The eyeshadows are more shimmery than matte but they mix very well and are a great mix of neutrals and colors in this palette.
This is possibly one of the nicest palettes that I've bought recently.
The colours are highly pigmented, bright and shimmery (some palettes in their collection have matte and neutral colours as well). The colours in these palettes can be used for a multitude of different looks from subtle day looks to all out glamorous and bright funky combinations. The eyeshadows are mineral based and very soft which means that while they are buttery and easy to apply they do leave some fall-out when used with a brush. I find there is less fallout when I use the sponge applicators that come with the palette initial and then blend with a make up brush. My advice would be to do your eye makeup first and then your foundation. I've been using this product for a few months now and am totally impressed with the value for money that they offer. The retail price is R99.95 at Foschini stores (I have seen that the Original and Storm palette are on sale in October for R79.95). I plan to buy more of these palettes which catch my eye. The packaging is nice and sleek with a huge mirror inside (which is always nice). It comes with a two-end applicator which applies the shadows nicely but doesn’t always give the best precision. I prefer using my own makeup brushes. If you asked me I would recommend using the MAC 239 flat shader brush and wet the brush a bit to give the best effect.
