Skin Science Radiant Eye Serum

Made in South Africa, Skin Science Radiant Eye Serum is an anti-ageing serum for fine lines and wrinkles in the eye area. Stem cell research technology - the science buzz-topic du jour - is the basis for its R&D. Stem cells are the most important cells in the skin - as we get older the number and activity of our stem cells is reduced, with skin losing its ability to recover and repair itself. The Skin Science hero-ingredient, PhytoCell Tec Malus Domestica, is taken from extremely rare Swiss-grown Uttweiler Spatlauber apples, which have been proven to repair skin stem cells and so slow down and delay the ageing process. Have to confess, they look like good old Granny Smith to me ! Using the latest biotechnology, the regenerative stem cells are extracted from the apples and combined with specific ingredients to give the ultimate repair and anti-ageing solution. The serum claims to repair existing damage, delay preliminary ageing and thus help to prevent the signs of ageing on the skin. At R199.99 for a 30ml serum, this is accessibly-priced luxury.

The packaging of the serum is appealingly hi-tech - a pristine white box with silver text and pink accents to cheer all the girls ! The actual product is encased in a futuristic silver pump cylinder which will look good on any bathrooom vanity slab.
Good texture - enough body to stay put, but not too thick for an easy, comfortable application. More creamy than I'm used to in a serum, and I would imagine that it might be too much combined with a cream, but an excellent texture on its own.
The smell could be a little off-putting, but this is fairly common for products with a high concentration of bio-active ingredients. It didn't worry me...
I liked the application and loved the performance throughout the day - my eye area felt comfortable and hydrated without being greasy.
The price is excellent - great value compared with others on the market.
This has the added feel-good factor of being a home-grown product, and I think local is lekker !
I'd definitely recommend and repurchase !
