rimmel scandaleyes eyeshadow stick

I purchased Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Stick in a shimmery bronze colour called 'Bad Girl Bronze', for R89 at Clicks.

I like the packaging as the colour on the packaging is the exact shade of the product once applied. I have slightly oily eyelids but it is super pigmented so I only need to apply it in two swipes. The texture of the product is very smooth. I like to use it as an all-over shade but others have used this product as an eyeliner which should look very cool.

The only negative I have on this product is that it doesn’t have a swivel at the end for you to twist it up. Manual sharpening of the product leads to wastage and isn’t easy as the stick doesn’t fit most makeup sharpeners.
I don’t think this product is one of the most budget-friendly eyeshadow sticks out there but it is definitely high-quality so I think it is worth the price.

I bought these eyeshadow sticks on sale for R40 each. I have mine in the shades Bulletproof Beige, a shimmery champagne gold colour, and Bad Girl Bronze, a shimmery bronze colour.

This product is extremely versatile, and can be used as an all-over shadow, eyeliner or even a primer for shimmery powder shadows. I like to use my Bad Girl bronze as an all-over shade, or to line my lower lash line. The Bulletproof Beige is the absolute perfect inner corner highlight. They are extremely pigmented. The formula is creamy, soft and so, so easy to blend!

I've only ever worked with powder eyeshadows, and I'm happy to say that my transition into cream shadows was made much less scary by this product.

I've always wanted to get my hands on these shadow sticks but just never got around to doing so, so you can imagine my delight when I tore open my parcel from Beauty Bulletin and found it amongst two other delights !

I was given the shade 'Bulletproof beige',which I must say In all honesty, is exactly the shade I would have chosen for myself-BB, you know your insiders well! This shade is more on the golden side with a nice shimmer to it. Perfect for me because I love all things shimmery :p The shimmer is not over the top so this is wearable during the day. One swipe is all I need because it's richly pigmented but on my night out I layered it on a bit and it looked stunning .

I love that this shadow is in stick form, which makes application a breeze, no mess, no fuss. The creamy and silky formula makes this eyeshadow glide on with such ease. It's waterproof and stayed put on my eyelids from morning till I removed it myself before bedtime!

The icing on the proverbial cake would be if this were retractable but considering all its attributes, I will certainly be repurchasing.

Much like all cream eye shadows the Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks are multi-purpose - you can use them as a base/primer, apply all over for a wash of colour or of course wear it as eyeliner.

The texture of the Rimmel Scandaleyes Shadow Sticks are soft, creamy and light, superbly pigmented all the while being easy to blend.
I found that they glided onto the skin with such ease but I suggest this product be used with a primer if used alone as the formula tends to slip and crease fairly easily. I found that they are quite long lasting on my oily eyelids with the primer.

I was quite disappointed as I found them to be not retractable as I hoped.

But in all I am a fan of them and will certainly added to my favorites.

I have Rimmel ScandalEyes eyeshadow stick in two colours namely Guilty Grey and Trespassing Taupe. I was hoping to achieve a professional day look with Trespassing Taupe but unfortunately it makes my lids look heavy and accentuates the creases. As much as I disliked Trespassing Taupe I like Guilty Grey. One can layer it to an intense a colour as you wish.

In applying this creamy eyeshadow I found what I thought would be my biggest gripe of this chubby stick. It looks like a crayon so, I would think, one should be able to directly draw on the eyelids. Unfortunately it is too chubby to have proper control. The stick is not thin enough to draw a crisp line and one needs to blend the shadow once applied. Yes all this is easily remedied by using a brush and people that do not like to feel pressure on their eyeballs will probably use one from the start but then what is the point of having a stick. It may as well just be in a pot.

Eventually after blending I achieved the look I was going for and off I went. About four hours after application I saw myself in the mirror and I was surprised to find almost no grey left on my eyelids! So much for waterproof going nowhere.
I had such high hopes for this stick but unfortunately it has been a total fail.

I love the colours of these eyeshadows, they all have a slight shimmery pigment in them.. makes them perfect for both day and night.
No more crushed, messy eye shadow pallets!

Becareful not to use too much pressure on application else they will go on too dark and not blend well.
Dont try to use them a eye liners though.. casuse they are too thick and it will most likely go horribly wrong!

What a great product! I have a black one that I use I love the fact that I don't need a brush and all I need to do is glide it on easily..

Only problem I have is that it doesn't come with a sharpner ..

These are the handiest eyeshadows ever!!!! No getting your hands dirty and messy all have to do is glide them on... It didn't last all day though which I expect from an eyeshadow I am just too lazy to reapply during the day.

But other then that a great product!

At first I thought these sticks were retractable but was disappointed when I found out they werent. But besides this, it applies like a DREAM! The bulletproof beige is my favourite and is subtle but shimmery and lasts all day. The turquoise blue is a beautiful electric colour that really makes my eyes pop. The ease of application cant be overstated, its brilliant! Soft and slides on perfectly. Its expensive at R85 per stick. I won these through BB during friday prizeday :) I love love this product!!!!! Highly recommend

The Scandaleyes Eyeshadow stick in Paranoid Purple is a lovely jewel toned, vivid purple. I really love how it makes my green eyes pop! The only con is that you waste quite a bit of product when sharpening the pencil which is a pity. It makes a great eyeshadow base for purple shadows though and can be built up to an intense amethyst colour!

I purchased this eyeshadow stick a few months back, I only use it as an top liner for a vibrant and bold look. I really like the pigmentation, it is highly pigmented as well as long lasting, the colour is intense and can be used for both a daytime and night time look. I'd say it lasts me around 6 full hours, but I've noticed the colour fades a little during the day. The texture is similar to the Clinique Chubby Stick Eye Shadow, so if you tried that and liked it, I am sure you would love this. I really like that it doesn't irritate my eyes or make my eyes burn because I have really sensitive eyes. I'd say give it a try, it is easy to use and can double as a vibrant eye liner in many shades!

Since I have seen the reviews on this product on BB, I was itching to try it out. I got my chance when Rubybox had a recent sale and I could get hold of this in Gossip Green @ R69.95.

My thoughts:
1) It is waterproof, so really last throughout the day.
2) It is easy to use, but one has to blend a bit to get the coverage right. I found that it is better to set mine with a layer of powder eye shadow over it. Really lasts long then!
3) Great for sensitive eyes.
4) A little goes a long way, so even with the normal price of around R89.99, one will get long use out of this pencil.
5) I like the colour in almost olive green, but with a bit of a shimmer to it. Great pigmentation.

FINAL VERDICT: A great product to have in your handbag, for women on the go. Easy to use and less messy than powder eye shadow. LOVE IT!

I got my Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Crayon in Paranoid Purple,but there were so many beautiful shades to choose from.There are seven gorgeous shades to choose from.Paranoid Purple is a deep matallic purple, I love this crayon as there are some days were I don't have a lot of time.So I use my Rimmel Crayon and it's so quick and easy.I use this Crayon as a eyeliner,and I use it under my regular eyeshadow as it's creamy texture makes for a great cream base and makes my regular eyeshadow that I apply on top pop with great colour and shine.This eyeshadow lasts me for 8 hours,and great for wearing when I watch a sad movie on TV as it's waterproof.i have really sensitive eyes especially to artificial light my eyes tend to burn and tear up.But when I wear my Rimmel Eyeshadow it stays put,without smudging.I love that it smoothes on really easy,it just glides across my lid with very little effort.The texture is creamy and blendable I prefer that it's creamy as it seems not to crease like other eyeshadows.I love playing around with different looks,and I can easily blend this eyeshadow to create a smokey eye.Being a Crayon it's great to travel with no mess and no fuss.A very good quality eyeshadow crayon the only problem is that it needs to be sharpened.I prefer the twist up eye Crayons.But Because it gives me such good results I will buy this gorgeous eye crayon again in different shades.

As a dark skin girl, an eye shadow that is visible when applied can be hard to find, but the ScandalEyes eye shadow stick is highly pigmented and is clearly visible on my eyelids.
With one simple swipe, a good amount of the eye shadow was on my eyelid. It swept on so easily and because of how creamy it is, a firm hand is necessary during application.

I had to apply the eye shadow more than once to create even coverage. I also had to use a finger to help spread it evenly around my eye.

The colour lasted all day and I did not need to do any touch ups. It wasn’t easy to wash off later, but a good eye makeup remover can solve that problem for you.

It is not my favourite eye shadow stick because of how difficult it is to get even coverage over the eyelid. But the vibrancy of the colour, luxurious creamy texture and long lasting effect make up for it.

Rimmel ScandalEYES Eyeshadow Stick in '004 Guilty Grey':
A steel grey with blue undertones and very finely milled silver shimmer, 'Guilty Grey' looks great smudged along both the upper and lower lash line for a dramatic, night time look.

Application was a breeze , So pigmentated , no need to layer on this product. I love the smoothness,creamy application of this Rimmel ScandalEyes eye shadow.It does last a long while. Problem I came across was that it’s not retractable , which is a huge problem . Which means that it might need to be sharpened , and I am not a fan of any products that I need to sharpen.
I do love this eye shadow though gives me the dark smokey eye I strive to have. So a thumbs up from me , I do recommend everyone should try this product , It has amazing bright and vibrant colors perfect for summer that’s just around corner.
