I couldn't resist another one of these and this time I chose the shade 'backstage' . If I were to describe this shade best I'd say it's sort of brownish with a lavender undertone. It's metallic and i love how satiny it is. Used over primer it looks even more stunning .I find this more pigmented than the others I've tried. I highly recommend this!
Love the colour combo of golds & Browns that creates one of my fav looks ( gold smokey eye). It's supposed to compliment blue eyes but I decided to try it anyway with my brown eyes. I think it works beautifully with an eyeshadow base for long lasting eye make up.
I quite like these mono shadows from Rimmel
I have it in a pearly white shade and it literally makes my eyes pop . The shadows are long lasting but you will need to layer it on a few times over. still I'm happy with it.
I am quite hooked on the gorgeous and sometimes bold shades of Rimmel Glam'Eyes eye shadow and the latest shade I tried was the Rimmel Glam'Eyes Mono Eye Shadow in plum romance. This product required ample layers of application which was a little disappointing; however the eye shadow was long lasting and with sufficient eye shadow the colour was a beautiful plum-purple shade. This colour is wonderfully versatile and you can alter your eye look by the amount of eye shadow you layer and the price is rather impressive too!
I recently picked up this beauty on sale at Dis-Chem for R 24.95. I love bronze shade eyeshadows and this is the perfect shade for me as it is not too gold or copper, but has just enough shimmer to it. The texture of the eyeshadow is very smooth and it's quite long lasting as I have not experienced fading or creasing (I do however use a primer). I also like using Revlon's creme eyeshadow as a base and then apply and blend the Rimmel in the crease of my lid on top of it. I will definitively continue to purchase this one - sale or no sale!

So, another Rimmel buy; I’m hoping that you guys caught on that I am quite a Rimmel fan with all my purchases. Lol.
Following with the winter craze of everything purple and plum I purchased this mono eye shadow shade from Rimmel in Midnight Ruby. One doesn’t usually associate a ruby with being a grape colour so I Ioved this contradiction (coincidental or just my love for English?).
The eye shadow is a very intense highly pigmented grape hue with specks of glitter. It goes on easily and smoothly, filling in every crease and corner. It has really long lasting power and looks great with every skin tone and eye-colour. As with all the Rimmel Glam Eyes range, the label on the back has all the information you need. Due to this being a mono shade, there is no illustration shown but the looks advised are easy to achieve. As always they give us a subtle option as well as the brave London Look. I love using the subtle way during the day or to just add a pop of colour to a neutral look. When used as an eye liner I wet the applicator so I get a highly intense colour and a thin precise tip to work with.
The eye shadow comes in an all-black compact with clear lid. A black double-sided sponge applicator is also provided. Again, I felt that the applicator scraped more shadow off than it actually got onto it. Many different looks can be created from this one shade and it can easily be integrated to use with your other cosmetic brands. I’ve used this shadow both with and without a base and achieved the same long lasting results due to its deep colour It doesn’t flake or collect in the creases of the eye-lid. My only criticism would be that without an eye shadow base, the colour did get a tad oily looking, but that could just be my personal response to it.
A great buy at an affordable price that will help you achieve your own London look ;)
I have this eyeshaow in a bronze gold. I love the colour, but it really isn't long lasting. They have a really strong shimmer which I love because it gives eyes a lot of definition, but when I use eyeliner over this product, it just doesn't look good at all.
LOVE LOVE LOVE and just in time for summer. Neon colours in summer are so gorgeous and you do not have to be a make up professional to apply, have fun and create different looks with different colours
I received this eye shadow duo for review from the lovely ladies at the Beauty Bulletin. This duo consists of a shimmery beige and turquoise shade with a hint of gold. This duo is meant to compliment brown eyes which it does. I followed the little instructional diagram on the back of the duo and used the turquoise colour on my lid and the beige colour as a highlight under my brow and in the inner corner of my eyes. I finished the eye look of with some black eyeliner and had the perfect fun weekend look. For an evening out I would add some liquid liner and a darker shadow in the crease for a turquoise smokey eye. The pigmentation is very good and the shadows blend easily. There is some fallout because the shadows are a little soft but its not a problem if you tap the excess off before applying. I think this eye shadow range if a major improvement on their previous eye shadows. I highly recommend it.
Alright experience, once applied with other eye shadows and applied thickly. Not very long lasting and tends to be the purple that can make ones eye lids look bruised.
This was the first time in about 4 years that I've used a Rimmel eyeshadow. The last one I owned was a duo in brown tones and when I would apply this, it was non existant! I would apply layers of the stuff but nothing was really visible on my eyelid so I eventually gave up and chucked it. I would always opt for other brands of eyeshadows and have never had the same problem.
So along came this eye shadow from the BB ladies and I was quite keen to try it out to see if there was a difference. They've definitely improved their eyeshadow formula and its very pigmented and lasted the entire day without applying an eye primer and most importantly, I could see the colour on my eyelid! Woo Hoo!!!!!
This colour is a beautiful shimmery brown and its the kind of colour that I would usually wear for daytime. I've mixed and blended this to make a smoky eye with some other colours and it worked great for that too. Overall, I'm impressed with this eyeshadow as I didn't have high hopes. I will definitely be on the look out for more colours in the Glam Eyes range!.
I am so impressed with these Rimmel eyeshadows. It’s definitely a huge improvement from their previous linear palettes which I didn’t like very much. The eyeshadows have a huge colour payoff and is easily blendable. I can think of many many different looks to do just with the 4 that they have released therefore these shadows are very versatile. The colours will last all day if you use a base before applying the shadows (like this with even other brands).
