Rimmel boast that this lipstick has 'high-definition colour fix pigments for saturated full-bodied colour'. And from my experience, I can say it does this with a single glide. I think Pink Excess would definitely suit most skin tones and the more demure as well as outgoing personalities. The colour does not smudge or transfer easily and reapplication is minimal. The formula is exceptionally lightweight and you don't feel like you're wearing lipstick. The colour is rich with a subtle shimmer.
The downside is that I found it absolutely lacking in moisture and as someone who is prone to dry lips, I have to apply a separate balm/gloss after to avoid the cracked look. I would've expected a balance between the lightweight feel and moisture in a lipstick but was a bit disappointed.
Although the colour is fantastic, I think I would rather stick with my lipstain/lipbalm combo over this lipstick. I get the same lightweight feel, similar wearability and the much needed moisture I need from the balm.
