Remington Pearl Wand CI95
HotWhat is up curly haired lovers? I recently purchased yet another clipless curler, for the reason that I love clipless curlers and curls and curly things. This particular curler has a conical (having the shape of a cone) barrel, so you can use the fat side for bigger waves/curls, or the thin side for tighter curls, or all the sides for soft & loose curls. Whatever you want, just have a power supply and some hairspray. It is not much different to the MICA Clipless curler, but THAT wand’s barrel is the same size all through. The Remington PearlWand CI95 specs: Patent pending ceramic pearl technology for the smoothest salon finish ever. 1” to ½” styling wand to create a variety of styles. 30 second heat up time. Creates professional tight & loose curls. 210 degrees salon high heat. Automatic shutoff (One hour). Precise digital controls. Includes heat protective glove for easy styling. Swivel cord. 4 year warranty. The digital heat control is adjustable from 130° to 210°. I did the following on 130° just to see what happens, as heat stylers like the GHDs are defaulted to 180° and that works great for my hair. I’m not going to lie, it isn’t a easy product to use, but with practice it gets easier. And I’m not going to lie too, I also burnt myself, but only because I was I was too excited and did not put on that damn Michael Jackson glove. Anyway, I love these type of curling irons and I will most probably accidentally purchase more in the fuzzy future. It retails for anything between R350 – R800. Depends where you get them from, and if you had to pay for shipping. I got mine here: Takealot.com. They have great deals on generally everything. That’s me for today. May the curls be with you. Love, Cat xxx ***Side note – the 130º setting was not high enough for my type of hair. Within 4 hours (I did use hairspray) the curls had almost completely disappeared. I was left with “barely there” waves – still looks nice though. I would only recommend the lower setting for really fine and/or thin hair. I used the 180º setting on a friend (without hairspray) and it lasted from about 13:00 until she went to bed, woke up and washed her hair again.*** www.thecatbox.co.za
