Im not really big on this particular product neither the Rainforest shampoo. My hair didn't like this, it felt dry and brittle. It's not as moisurizing as I hoped it would be.

This product worked for my hair. I wouldn't go as far as saying it was absolutely amazing but if adding moisture and softness is what you want then I would recommend this. It smells so yummy and it did not weigh my hair down.

The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter
The pros
• Not tested on animals
• Smells absolutely delicious
• A little of the product goes a long way
• Moisturises hair like nothing else
The cons
• A very heavy product. Not ideal for oily hair and needs two rinses to get it out
• Can aggravate sensitive skin. I have to tie my hair up and make sure that the product doesn’t drip down onto my skin, or I get a rash.
• Smells quite strong and can clash with perfume

Had this as a miniature for travelling and opted to use it as a treatment after my swim then steam gym session! A hazelnut size is recommended which for me was not enuf! I felt the product slid on my hair and wasn't moisturising at all! My hair was still tangled and did not feel clean

Over the last few years I have been taking extra care of locks since I decided to grow it. Years of using a straightening iron on my already straight but sometimes frizzy hair, made my hair thin and limp. After buying a good shampoo regimen my hair is now in a good condition. Came across The Body Shop hair butter by chance since I don't usually buy their hair products, I was more taken by the word butter in it.
It's basically like an in shower treatment which you leave in damp hair for at least 5 mins, and you massage it into your hair while rinsing it out.
It lived up to its nourishing promises for me. And a big plus sign is that my hair didn't feel heavy or oily after. I love the fresh scent on my hair after I use it. And when I dried my hair there was less frizz than usual. The price at R95 isn't bad, I think as salon treatments are way more and this product has the similar properties to those products. The only thing is that they say use to hazelnut size pieces on your hair I tend to use more. But I use it as a weekly treatment so it's lasted me.
There's also variant for hair that's not colour treated.

I love this hair butter. I've used it twice and both times I had fabulous results. It makes my hair feel extremely soft and smooth and it's incredibly manageable. I use this as a hair mask and comb it through. I then put on a shower cap and leave it for 5 minutes before rinsing out. I love the results and I couldn't actually believe how nice my curls looked when I dried my hair naturally.
This butter has a nice enough scent, but something in it reminds me of the hemp products from TBS. This butter contains amazing ingredients like pracaxi oil, manketti nut oil and community trade honey and olive oil. It also contains no silicones, parabens or colourants.
However, I do find this product to be a bit expensive for the amount you actually get. The tub contains 50ml and I feel like you need to use quite a lot on each application as the butter is quite thick and doesn't spread easily through your hair. So this should be finished after a few weeks, which isn't affordable at all.

Okay maybe it would have worked better if I used a detangling comb, I felt the texture wasn't right for a hair mask. It was incredibly difficult to evenly spread throughout the hair. I was upset since Body Shop products are usually so fab .

The Body Shop Rainforest Moisture Hair Butter
This product is meant as a treatment once a week, but i use it instead of conditioner as my hair is quite dry. i use my expensive treatment once every four weeks as well. the product will not leave your hair product-saturated or greasy, i\and it leaves my hair unbelievable soft and untangled. It retails at R95 a tub - very affordable.
