While this is pricier than your average lipbalm, it has a really great consistency and really softens and protects your lips. This is the only lipbalm I wear during summer as my lips do tend to burn in the sun without it.
I'm giving this lip balm a 5/5 for all three factors because it really is that fantastic.
It's smells yummy (like a soft vanilla scent), it's not thick on application so you can dab this on before applying lipstick and it's great to use over lipstick as well.
I love that it has a very good SPF factor without leaving a white film on the lips like many other sunscreen products.
I love a good lip balm, but I love this one even more because it gives that little extra bit of protection. It smells divine and sinks into my lips. It does not leave my lips feeling more dry after use which is great.
I really enjoyed using this lip product, I read some where that lip gloss can actually be reasons that your lips get sun burnt as the shininess from the gloss attracts the sun more , so I've been using this and putting it on before I apply lipgloss and I feel like my lips are a lot more protected ! I would definitely keep using this product. and the smell is divine
I have a friend who absolutely raves about this lipice but after buying it I found it very mediocre. It leaves a white residue on your lips and I have extremely cracked lips so it looks awful. The whole point of a lipice is to moisten your lips so this kind of defeats the point!
I received this Sun Lipstick in the October Rubybox. This Sun Lipstick is a very fancy name for a SPF 20 lip balm which has sun protection. The Piz Buin in Sun : Sun Lipstick protects your lips from the harmful effects of UVA/ UVB exposure while providing them with intense moisturisation. The Piz Buin in Sun : Sun Lipstick is also water resistant.
The packaging is quite standard and comes in a brown regular lip balm compact. The Piz Buin in Sun : Sun Lipstick is white but applies clear to lips. The texture is very thick and provides a lovely hydration to lips which can improve lips condition. The sun lipstick is also SPF 20 so you get an extra protection from the sun which is a good thing, especially because Summer is coming up.
I haven't used the Piz Buin in Sun : Sun Lipstick in the actual sun, but when I first tested it, I found it left a slight whitish bits on my lips which put me off the lip balm. Personally I wouldn't have purchased it because I haven't really used any Piz Buin products for a long time, however I've tried it before.
The directions to apply it are simple :Apply generously and evenly before sun exposure. A reduced quantity lowers the protection level significantly. Reapply frequently, especially after sweating, swimming or towelling. If you spend a lot of time in the sun then I would recommend that you try it. This Sun Lipstick retails at R45 each.
How did rubybox know that I urgently needed some lip therapy?
Tis is an amazing product and I am so glad I received it in my rubybox. Its meslls like chocolate, I kid you not.
My lips have really needed some TLC these past few weeks and I couldnt fins snything that can help but I think my search is over. I found the TLC my lips need to recover to look revitalised and healthy again.
I got a full siize of tis in my rubybox and I AM SO HAPPY.
It even has an added SPF to keep my lips protected from the harsh sun rays and keeping it looking great. Its a lipstick but, I am sure it can double up as a lip protectedr which you can wear underneath your lipstick.
I great product indeed. I'm a huge fan of Piz Buin products especially the self-tans, hence my excitement for the sun lipstick and at such an affordable price - great protection plus benefits.
This lip balm provides me with long-lasting protection from UVA and UVB rays, plus the added aloe vera keeps my lips soft and supple. Great for sun protection all-year round, and works wonders on winter lips too.
I use it under my lipsticks and gloss and another plus my lipstick last longer.
I would definitely purchase it again. A must-have for all summer lovers.
I really like this lipstick as it has a bulit in SPF but does not leave a white residue on your lips. Has a nice faint smell of vanilla and does a great job as a balm. Also not that expensive.
I recently am facing dry lips and when this arrived in Ruby Box - I was very happy as it saved me a trip to the store. But I was even more pleasantly surprised by the effects. I absolutely love the vanilla scent of this, the price is not that bad and I love that it is not sticky or thick. The fact that it is SPF 20 is just an added bonus!
So I got this in my Rubybox and at first I thought it was a waste of time. But, I tried it anyway and I was pleasantly surprised. It goes on smooth and is not overly oily or slickish so my lips look normal and can still take a coat of lipstick. I wear it under and over my lipstick just because I am paranoid like that. It also has a light vanilla fragrance that is just enough.
I would definitely buy it!
Piz buin is probably one of my favourites for sun care. This lippie offers a nice SPF protection of 20. Has a light vanilla scent is not as hydrating as my beloved cherry zam-buk but gives a nice protective layer that sits nicely on the lips.
