I'll be honest, I haven't used many drugstore hair brands in the past couple of years. It's been mostly salon brands and I thought I became a bit of a hair care snob, but I have used Pantene in the past and my mom has loved the brand for many years.
I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for just over two weeks now. I wash my hair every second day and mostly let it air dry. My hair is naturally very straight so I would only use my GHD if I feel like making it poker straight for a night out or special event. The only problem I have with my hair is that the ends need a lot of moisture because of the length of my hair - which is halfway down my back.
Both the shampoo and conditioner is gently scented and does a great job of getting my tresses squeaky clean. I would towel dry my hair and leave the conditioner in for about 2 minutes before I do a thorough rinse. It leaves my hair feeling really bouncy and soft which I really enjoy. Having very fine hair, I like that neither one of the products weighed it down. It was just really soft and shiny which is pretty much all I want.
I just wish Pantene made their conditioners in larger sizes because I tend to use three times more conditioner than I do with shampoo. I'm sure most girls feel that way as well, unless you have extremely short hair.

Whip it up with Mousse

The last time I used a mousse of any sort, I wouldn't exactly put it as I used it. It was more my mom being adventurous (or just bored), holding me down and whipping up some crazy style which left far too much product and ended up with me in the bath, covering my eyes from all the shampoo, that would need to be used to wash the stuff out! Needless to say, not the happiest memories, hence the only mousse I try is chocolate flavoured and goes into my mouth. My hair does become a little frizzy after towel drying, so I was intrigued to see how this product would affect it, in conjunction with hair drying or straightening. Is it just me, who gets a fright each time they press the nozzle and the stuff comes out so fast? I always feel like I use too much and may revisit the unmentionable memories that comes with the mousse. Luckily, they have improved the product since the one I tried 16 years ago, and it all rubs in effortlessly. It relieved me the most, when I found that it doesn't leave that build-up residue on my hair which usually makes it feel dirty, right after a wash. Instead, this leaves my hair feeling and looking fresh, beaming with new moisture and health!

I have never used a masque before, other than one from Dove - which I adored! So to put it lightly, with my great love for all things Pantene and now finding that they have a masque too, I had a basket full of expectations. I find that this product's consistency is a little thinner than their conditioner, which in my opinion is kind of strange. In my head, it just makes sense that it should be thicker. Well, don't let that put you off, I do feel, after application, that the treatment was more luxurious as I find my hair is shinier and looks healthier after my weekly indulgence. I won't say that the change was all that dramatic, but I think that if you don't already use Pantene and you are suffering from dry, dull and limp hair (something I am not currently experiencing - go pregnancy hormones, yayee!) then you will definitely see a more remarkable change in your locks.

As always, I am ever so impressed with the detangling agent in all of Pantene's products. These two beauties have a lot more to brag about than just their amazing scents. The shampoo creates a sufficient amount of foam, leaving your hair feeling clean after just one wash. The thick conditioner, which happens to be my best friend, nourishes the hair from root to tip, removing all knots and moisturizing every bit. Unlike most products on the market, there is no need to over indulge your hair with too much of the product, I find that a small amount goes a long way. I love that there is no product build-up on my hair and I can easily go a few days without a wash, if time is short. The results, after a wash with Pantene, are dramatic when compared to other products. I find that I can comb through my hair, more easily and that my hair stays cleaner for longer. Also, the scent of the products remain in my hair for the entire day, which gives me that extra boost of confidence, too. In my opinion, Pantene is pocket friendly, sure - it is not always the cheapest, but their range extends to 900ml bottles and as mentioned, you do not need to use a lot. Overall, this is a product I will continue to go back to, until something comes along that can beat it in all categories.
