I’ve been blessed by the beauties at Beauty Bulletin to review this awesome wee gadget. It’s called the Olay Regenerist Anti-Ageing Advance Cleansing System. Now THAT’S a mouthful!
Essentially the product is a handheld waterproof rotating soft brush used to clean your skin and prepare it for your anti-ageing beauty regime.
The system comes with easy to read instruction sheet, one brush head, the electronic cleansing unit and a 20ml sample bottle of Olay skin renewal cleanser.
It's battery operated, taking two AA sized batteries which come included. Bonus! Because usually these products are “batteries not included”. The batteries adds some sturdy weight to the light plastic casing of the cleansing brush. It’s great for taking with you on holiday in your suitcase without having to worry about chargers, cables and adapters.
With the batteries snuggly inside, the unit is ready to go. No charging required. The only issue is trying to get the battery compartment open. I struggled for a while but that just means the unit is water resistant and won’t fall apart in the shower.
The electronic cleansing tool itself has 2 speeds (slow and medium), both are gentle on sensitive skin like mine. The skin renewal cleanser has small micro granules. I was a wee bit concerned at first that I would be sandpapering my skin off. It is actually very gentle.
I love how easy this product is to use. All you need to do is wet your face, apply some cleanser on your face (or the brush) and away you go with the damp brush. Using circular motions, it cleans and exfoliates at the same time.
I recommend you spend no longer than a minute on your entire face to avoid causing irritations to your face and going overboard. I found that after using this product, my skin felt super clean. I wouldn’t use this every day – perhaps twice a week at first.
I can’t tell you the long terms results just yet but I will continue to use it and hopefully my wrinkles will simply disappear! Hey! You never know….
The system retails for R329 at Clicks or Dischem. For me this is really affordable. And yes, you can buy replacement heads for R99 for a pack of two. They suggest that you use the heads for maximum of 3 months.
