Neutrogena Visibly Clear Pore & Shine Daily Face Scrub
I want to start this review off by saying I was very skeptical about using this product. I’ve never had major issues with my skin other than one or too break outs during varsity due to really bad eating. I don’t wear any foundation and very little make up. However about 10 months ago my skin got terrible. I had tiny little pimples all over my forehead, and the skin around my temples and chin got really bad and red. I had never really used product on my skin, and started by buying one or two products which really did nothing much. Then I tried some really expensive creams used for unclogging pores, treating redness ect which actually ended up making it WORSE. I tried facials and one therapist thought it might be heat rash and told me to keep my hair tied up and stop using any products and just use soap. I was so confused, I had never had skin issues and now I was 25 and had skin like a 17 year old. My modeling agency had to stop sending me to castings because my skin was just not up to standard. Eventually I researched it and it sounded like it might be due to stress. I got some cream from a dermatologist specifically to treat oil and sebum and finally saw some results.
Since then I have been too scared to use anything else, so all I use is this cream once a day on specific areas of my face. It takes me forever to remove make up or clean my face (I just use non scented soap) because I don’t want to upset my skin! When I got the email from Beauty Bulletin and read up about the product, it sounded like something that maybe I could try… so I took a leap of faith and tried the product one evening.
My skin felt really amazing. The cream I currently use makes it feel (and sometime look) quite dry, but this face wash left my skin feeling quite soft! But this worried me… if it’s not dry, after a few hours it’s probably going to start feeling oily which is NOT good. However by the end of the day my skin felt great! No oil or shine around my hair line or temples, but also no dryness. I am now at the end of week 2 of using the product and have barely had to use my prescribed cream at all. My skin looks great, and I am now looking into the rest of the Neutrogena range.
If you have combination/sensitive skin like me I can HIGHLY recommend this product. Keeps my skin looking and feeling great all day and has really sorted out my T zone. It’s easy to use and proves that the price tag is not necessarily all that matters. Really really happy, thanks so much Beauty Bulletin and Neutrogena!
