Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Facial Wipes

I'm definitely a fan of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Facial Wipes! They are gentle, refreshing and effective. Best of all, they are a huge time saver! Very handy after a long day! A great makeup remover as well.

I literally take these babies everywhere, in my bag, car and wherever I can fit them. Very handy for those on the road, busy days when you cant wash your face as a non make up using person, the lotion works as a 2 in 1 leaving one feeling hydrated as ever. Perfect after that jog and anytime of the day actually. These lifesavers are definitely my new best friend.

My least favourite of the range are the facial wipes. I don’t like the oiliness that it leaves on my face after cleaning the makeup and impurities off my face. I prefer a wipe that does not leave an oily residue. I feel I have to wash my face with water and use the micellar water afterwards just to get rid of the oily texture it leaves behind.

It is hard though to find a facial wipe that is not harsh on the face. I can say that the Neutrogena Facial Wipes are gentle on the skin, while still getting rid of makeup, provided you don't have a lot of makeup on.

How I’ve used the products:
In the morning I use the cleanser in the shower to clean my skin of dead skin cells. Once out the shower I give my skin an extra cleanse with the micellar water on a cotton pad. I then use a generous amount of the water gel, paying careful attention to my dry spots and lips. Then comes putting on my face as I like to say (not that I use much makeup ;)).

At night I get lazy at times and only use the cleanser sometimes. I use a facial wipe every night to get rid of makeup and impurities that have come to visit during the day. I give my face a good clean and then will sometimes do 2 rounds of cotton pads using the micellar water. I make sure the pad is clean before putting on a generous amount of water gel, paying careful attention to my dry spots and lips.

I would not purchase these wipes again – personal opinion and choice but I do know others that love them.

My absolute favourite from the range! These generously sized cleansing wipes give your skin a thorough clean, with the only residue being a dewy glow. They remove make up, impurities as well as excess oil from your face and are the most perfect thing post gym session.
I will no doubt purchase them again and have already recommended them to everyone I know. Suitable for all skin types. Nourishing, cleansing and hydrating. Best!

I absolutely love these wipes and can’t get enough of it!

I use it in the morning and evening before taking a shower or bath. It smells amazing, it makes my face feel clean and fresh. It’s a make-up remover with a gentle cleansing lotion and it removes skin impurities.

I find that the wipes are big and really moist (which I love) so I cut it in half and only use one half at a time. I use it on my face, neck and behind my ears. These wipes are effective and a half cleans my whole face.

I've been using it for a week now and I’m so happy with how it makes my skin feel.Will definitely be repurchasing them.

My skin is naturally dry but after the 2 weeks of using Neutrogena's products, there has been a huge difference. I am satisfied with these products, my skin feels and looks smooth, it is also brighter and hydrated. The price of the products are reasonable because I usually spend up to almost R700 just for my face and with Neutrogena, it has almost been halved. I fell in love with the gel cream the most. I would definitely repurchase this product and recommend it to anyone who wants to hydrate their skin

This product is AMAZING! I'm super impressed by how easily the wipes removes makeup. I used to use about 4 to 5 facial wipes (prefer not to mention which brand) but now only use 1. This is definitely worth the buy!

This was my favorite out of the whole range!

I literally felt like this could be a 2in1 product because it wipes away your makeup/oil from your skin as well as feels like it cleanses the face so you feel like you don't even have to wash your face after using these wipes.

I use to use these wipes to take off my makeup before going to gym and literally just rinsed my face with water after using the wipes because the wipes give off a foam which cleanses your face. My face felt clean and hydrated even though it takes off the oil from your face.

These wipes are great for removing makeup or just wiping oily skin during the course of the day. They are extremely moisturizing and work effectively at removing ALL your makeup. I only needed one wipe to remove a face of makeup (I generally don't wear heavy amounts of makeup during the week. It removes waterproof eyeliner and mascara REALLY well. I use Kat von D's Tattoo liner, which stays on really well, and I usually have a hard time removing it, and these wipes remove the liner really well. I've been using these products for 2 and a half weeks. I'm going to review this product under headings:

Quantity:
There are 25 wipes in the package of Neutrogena® Hydro Boost Facial wipes.

Scent:
The wipes are quite heavily scented, if you're not into that. My skin isn't very sensitive, so perhaps someone with eczema should maybe be careful with these wipes.

Effectiveness:
The wipes remove pretty much all your makeup, which means you only really have to use one wipe, followed by cleansing to remove all your makeup. In this way, the wipes become cost effective, as you don't need to use as many to remove your makeup. I sometimes find myself using 2 to 3 wipes of a cheaper brand, just to remove all the makeup off my face.

Skin benefits:
These wipes leave your skin feeling so moisturized and not tight or dry. I really love this as facial wipes tend to leave your face often feeling really tight, and can often lead to dry flaking skin as they strip the natural oils from your face. These do not do that, which is awesome! I also found that I haven't broken out once using these products, which is pretty awesome, considering I have acne prone skin.

I definitely recommend trying these wipes out, they really are so moisturizing and it is especially great to have during summer, when the wind and sun is so drying to one's skin.

I was fortunate enough to receive a few products from the Neutrogena Hydro boost Range. One of the products I received was the facial wipes. Here are my thoughts:

Price: These retail for R99.95 and are available both online and in selected pharmacies nationwide. The price point is a little bit pricey since you only receive 25 wipes. However, the quality of the wipes are great so this is somewhat acceptable.

Usage: I mostly use these to remove the outer layer of my face makeup. It removes majority of the makeup which I find to be great. I also enjoy using this after gyming since it leaves me feeling refreshed.

Other pro's: Another thing I love about this product is that it is oil free and alcohol free. It is quite compact and fits easily in my handbag to take out. It has an absolutely amazing smell- which makes me feel great.

Overall thoughts: I really enjoyed using this product. Unlike most other makeup wipes, it doesn't leave my face feeling dry and itchy. Rather, it leaves my skin feeling soft and moisturised. I would definitely reuse this product and recommend this to all my friends.

Is the product easy to use?
I’ve always loved wipes for refreshing during the day or removing makeup at night so these came in handy. I’m not huge on makeup, only using mascara and liner so it came in handy to easily remove my makeup with no hassle.

Is it of a high quality?
One wipe sheet was enough, each sheet is thick enough. The scent was ok, didn’t linger.

Is it geared towards somebody like me?
I was already using wipes so I added it simple to my routine.

Have others had a good experience with the product?
I always check for reviews before using a product and, I must say, I wasn’t disappointed at all. Neutrogena Hydro Boost has won numerous award in the beauty industry and I had to give the line a try.

What are the pros and cons of the product?
It is handy to wipe any oily spots or for refreshing during the day. The packaging is ACTUALLY re-sealable, keeping the wipes moist and fresh.

What alternatives are available, and how do they measure up?
Most alternatives I have used before were cheaper but for fewer wipes. The alternatives, however, usually have a detergent smell to them that I loath. I always look forward to using Neutrogena Hydro Boost Wipes; they make my skin feel soft and moist without the need to add a moisturiser.

Is the product worth my money?
They are a little bit pricey. They are worth it, though.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Facial Wipes fit well within its price range compared to its competing brands.
The wipes are very effective and do not require much effort when removing makeup. They are also a great "quick fix" if you feel your face needs to be refreshed. I love their scent and they left my face smelling and feeling fresh!

I am obsessed with this product! Neutrogena has definitely outdone themselves with this one! This has become one of the items I never leave home without.

Firstly the packaging is user friendly and it actually seals properly preventing the wipes from losing moisture unlike other packaging. I love the fact that it gives that fresh and lasting sensation after you remove your make-up after a long day at work or after an evening out. It also smells wonderful.

Firstly let me start by saying thank you Neutrogena for such an awesome product. For someone with dry, sensitive skin these wipes have treated my face with the utmost respect.

I love how the pack is so small and portable and it fits like a dream into both my gym and handbags.

The wipes came in handy after sweaty sessions at gym and I also used them to remove makeup after a night out on the town.

As a Makeup Artist, makeup wipes are a HUGE thing for us! We need something that's effective, hydrating, and affordable. When I received these Neutrogena Facial Wipes, I was so excited to try these out because I am a sucker for facial wipes!!

From the first facial wipe, I fell in love!!!

These wipes are so so hydrating, they smell like aloe vera, and it is so refreshing on your skin!

What I love most about these wipes is that they remove water proof mascara!! WHAT?! You heard me! I have tried so many facial wipes in the past where the brand claims that it does remove water proof makeup but then it doesn't, and that immediately gets me so upset! I didn't have high expectations when I saw "Removes Waterproof Mascara" on the packaging, because of my previous experiences but when I put this bad boy to the test, sheesh, it removed every bit of waterproof mascara, I had on! I was completely mind blown! After that, these wipes became my Holy Grail Facial Wipes!

Another great thing is that the opening sticker, doesn't lose its stickiness! As soon as you take out a facial wipe, and you close it again, it's like you never opened it! I love it, because that way your wipes will stay moist and won't dry out, we all hate it when you have a brand new packet of facial wipes and you by mistake didn't close it properly and it dries out and then you can't even use it! Well, my friend, you won't have that problem with these babies!

So these wipes are great in every aspect. They are affordable, they are easy to find, they are supper effective, and they are great for people on the move! You can use these at the gym, the packet is small enough so it won't take much space in your bag, and like that your face will be hydrated and squeaky clean!!

I usually gym in the morning so my favorite way to use these facial wipes, is before I go to bed, I always forget to remove my makeup (I KNOW IT'S SO BAD) so usually when I go to bed and remember that I need to remove my makeup, I always get so lazy to go wash my makeup off, but it is so much easier for me now because I quickly get up and grab a wipe and remove my makeup while I'm in bed! Best thing ever!!! Like that my pillows will no longer be stained with makeup and my skin will be able to breathe at night!!

Upon receiving a pack of these Hydro Boss Facial Wipes I must admit I was a little disappointed that there are only 25 wipes in the pack. I am a facial wipe fan so I use them on the daily! Thats why I always go for the 60 packs - so they last me quite a long time!

BUT.... Everything else was a pleasant surprise after I started using them!

Firstly, they smell deliciously fruity and fresh! I also LOVE the fact that when you pull a wipe out, only one comes out at a time (unlike the product I usually buy which lands up dispensing about 3 wipes every time). They are effective in removing make-up from my face (even the stubborn mascara areas) and my skin feels clean, soft and hydrated for a long time after using them! I also love that it doesn't leave any kind of sticky residue on your face after using them.

All in all I think this is a wonderful product - it is fresh, effective, easy to use and convenient for those times your need to clean your face but can't do the whole three step program! The only thing I would change is the quantity of wipes in the package, and the price is a bit high for what you are getting (relative to other wipes on the market).

I use the wipes seperate from the Gel Cleanser and moisturiser.
I use it after a work out at the gym and I find it cleanses perfectly to remove excess sweat before I shower and moisturises enough that my skin does not feel dry and tight.

I love the smell and how light it is on my skin.

The wipes are very effective in removing long stay and waterproof make up which has been perfect for when I need to change my make up from Day to Night,

I have tried many facial wipes in the past but, I have not come across one that acts like a cleanser and moisturiser like the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Wipes.

This has honestly become my favorite wipes. It cleans my face so easily especially that pesky mascara that just doesn't want to wipe away. It also has a "hydration booster" that just makes my skin feel super soft afterwards instead of dry using other facial wipes. It's also perfect for sensitive skin.
