Neutrogena Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub

The Neutrogena Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub is a creamy scrub with exfoliating micro beads which unclog pores to remove trapped oil and dirt on the skin. This scrub is gentle enough for daily use. It lathers easily when applied on a wet face. While I was using this product I noticed that my skin was not prone to breakouts and I did not have blackheads. However, the scrub did not do much to minimise the visible pores on my nose.

I have been using the Neutrogena Visibly Clear Blackhead Eliminating Daily Scrub for the past month. The product smells great, and has a real exfoliating effect on the skin. However, I cannot honestly say that I noticed any improvement or reduction in the number of blackheads on my face.

Despite that, I have had few acne breakouts and my skin has been kept really smooth and soft. Will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great daily face wash. And the low price is really good too for the pocket!

I really found no difference in my skin or blackheads and my face is 60 percent blackheads. I wouldn't recommend easily but happy it works for others!!!

For the price, it's every cents worth. And when they say daily scrub, its gentle enough to use twice daily. This was part of my teenage son's daily routine. Now my 14 year old daughter has also started,with great results. Blackheads have seen their day!!

Lets get right into it shall we? Well, let start off by saying I loved it. It was effective yet gentle and that's what I loved about it. My skin cleared of the those awful, evil blackheads. And, what made it better is that it was so immediate. I'm definitely sticking to this product. It's a must have. I would recommend it to anyone with a blackhead problem.

I wasn't really impressed with this product.I usually love Neutrogena products,but this scrub does not eliminate black heads.It does feel quite harsh on the skin also.I didn't enjoy it.

I totally rate this product a 11/10! I only use this, I saw an immediate difference in appearance, as well as tone. I used to find it difficult to 'disguise' the black heads on my nose. I used to try pressing them out all the time - but that only left me with a red, bumpy, swollen nose.
I tried this every time I showered, an I have to say that its been a vast improvement. I dont see any blackheads on my nose (of course they are still there) but you have to get UP and REALLY CLOSE before actually slightly seeing them

I wanted to try the product for a full month before writing the review to see longer term results.
Firstly, the product is nice and easy to squeeze out of the tube.
It is creamy, with soft granules, but with a light refreshing scrub. It doesnt feel heavy like other cream based scrubs.
It smelt amazing and really made my face refreshed. Kind of gave me energy.

Mind my ignorance, can the scrub be used instead of a cleanser? Wasn't too sure and it duidnt say anything on the tube.

all in all, I have seen the amount of blackheads reduce and well as a few people commenting on how great my skin is looking.

After hearing all the raving reviews on BB regarding this product I rushed out and purchased this as I was in need of something that was gentle and effective at attacking blackheads. I was certainly not disappointed and it was also reasonably priced. Has a delicate fruity fragrance and beads that exfoliate without scratching your skin. The results are marvelous and I am glad that I listened

Personally I didn't really like this product, right of the bat the "fragrance" was horrible. It felt good on my skin when washing, however I never saw any improvement in my skin condition, and in fact landed up with more acne than before.

Well priced when compared to the competitors products, but found it's effectiveness was lacking.

Honestly the most effective scrub have used in years. I will definitely be purchasing this product in the future and maybe try out some of Neutrogena's other washes.

Exfoliating everyday may cause breakouts depending on different skin types.

i recieved this product 3 weeks ago and after using it i have very less blackheads and whiteheads and it also evened out my skin tone.it has a mild smell and it is very mild fragnanced.
it has a very creamy texture

I would say it is worth a purchase, but I'm still uncertain about using this scrub on a daily basis. I will definitely continue using it though. :)

I received this product to try, it had a insurmountable task ahead of it. I was in the middle of the worst acne break out I have ever had. So I decided to give it time to show results.

I loved the rich creamy texture, even though it has micro beads its not enough to irritate acne to much. After two weeks I still had these horrible what hormonal break outs on my face, but I saw that the rest of my skin was really cleared up. I had less white heads, less visible black heads and it seemed to be less blotchy.

So I kept on using it. After 3 weeks I'm happy to report that this is a good facial cleanser. Soft enough for my dry skin but effective enough to treat minor breakouts.


Is my skin visibly even? From breakouts yes, It is hard to tell if my dark spots has been reduces as I have many and I don't think 3 weeks of using it will show dramatic results.

Although it contains fragrance was not overwhelming and it did not irritate my nose.

Would I purchase it again. Yes, it helped my acne more than any other product I have tried.

Over all a great solid product I would recommend for anybody that wants an exfoliating face wash that doesn't have to many micro beads.

I really love my Neutrogena Black Head Eliminating Daily Scrub, it has been really effective since I started using it.Unlike other face wash scrubs the texture of the neutrogena Black Head Eliminating Daily Scrub makes my face feels smoother and less oily than before. The few blackheads that I had has disappeared and the few stubborn ones has lighten in color I would definitely recommend this product to all my friends.

I have always been a very strong advocate of Neutrogena and trust them completely.

I have been using the daily scrub for some time now. I find that the micro beads are a little too rough for my skin thus it concerned me about using it as a daily scrub. I normally use ex-foliating serums which are a lot softer on my skin so I may just not be used to it. I also tend to feel like it dries my skin out somewhat.

I think my skin may have been a bit too sensitive for this scrub however I am pleased to say that it did not cause any breakouts however, it didn't have much of an effect on small blackheads. I would probably recommended it to someone a little younger than I but it just wasn't suited to my skin.

If it wasn't so rough on my skin personally, I would be happy to pay the price that it retails at.

I am really loving the product. I used to go for scrubs that are a lot more harsh just because it felt more effective that way. This product has convinced me otherwise. I don't know how they did it but the base of this cleanser feels creamy the moment it touches your face. Feels really good. The actual scrubby bits are very gentle but really smooth out any rough spots. Overall the face appears to be brighter and smoother afterwards. Personally for my sensitive skin using a scrub daily is a little too often. but it would definitely work for normal skin.

The packaging is practical and the product has a typical Neutrogena smell which doesn't remind me of anything in particular so its hard to describe.

I really recommend this product. In Dischem it retails for R70 something which I think is completely reasonable for the size.

I like the ease of use of the product and the fresh smell you get as soon as you open it up. I've been using the product for 2 and a half weeks now and although blackheads are not my biggest problem, it made my skin look and feel smoother and visibly clearer.

To overcome an annoying problem, it seems we have found the answer. This scrub works wonders and in a few short days, you will see and feel the difference also

I started using this product the from the first day I received it - being yesterday, 12 June 2013.

I love the texture of the scrub - it's creamy, yet you can feel the exfoliating beads within. It's also not a rough kind of scrub like others on the market. My skin is quite sensitive and gets irritated very quickly with the usage of such products. This one is soft, creamy, gentle and kind to my skin. My skin is not generally prone to blackheads, so I can't tell if it made a drastic difference. But one thing I CAN say is that it made my skin feel much smoother afterwards - really refreshed.

I'm really enjoying using the product. It's quite a big bottle, so it will last a long time so I don't mind paying a bit extra. When it comes to my skin, especially my face - there's no pricetag. I only use quality products that are not harmful to my delicate skin.

All in all, a really great product that I would recommend. In fact, I've already recommended it to my family and friends!

Effective product, rather pricey

I do think that it doesn`t make your skin dry as most scrub`s do and it does eliminate most the superficial blackheads.But not so effective for a deep cleanse.It`s a day to day scrub.

This scrub was very effective. It didn't leave my skin feeling dry and parched like other daily scrubs do. It was very effective in dealing with the existing blackheads, also great that it kept them at bay as well.

A must for any Woman!

This scrub has quite a strong perfumed smell that you immediately notice. It also has a mousse-type look to it and it's creamy but light in texture. The actual exfoliatior part is very fine and just feels a bit gritty on the skin. The micro beads are little orange beads and they are very few and far between.

I don't like to use this on my whole face as it can be quite drying, especially if you are using it as a daily scrub. As for the actual blackhead eliminating properties I can't really say much about that. I've been using this for quite a while and I haven't noticed any improvement in the blackheads on my nose. I have more success with lemon juice and pore strips.

I wouldn't recommend this as I don't think it does what it claims to do and it can be drying if you use it regularly.

Doesnt cause any break outs. Gentle exfoliation

I also bought this product believing that it would eliminate blackheads like the packaging says, but it works more like an exfoliator for me. It doesn't magically remove blackheads even if you do it towards the end of showering when the heat of the water should have opened up your pores.

The product is soft and gentle on the skin and after using it, it leaves your skin feeling soft. I have sensitive skin that is prone to redness, and this product is gentle enough to not irritate my skin further, which I like. I'm only disappointed that this product doesn't actually elimate blackheads like it says. I think it only prevented my blackheads from becoming more visible.

I like that the microbeads in the product is super soft and fine and the product has a clean, fresh smell to it.

I would recommend this product if you struggle with blackheads!

At first I didn't see any results but after continual use I could see a visable change after three weeks. My skin is clearer, smoother and my pores smaller and lighter.Definitly less blackheads.
