Moroccanoil Treatment

Moroccanoil is an oil treatment for all hair types. Moroccan Oil is alcohol-free and has a patented weightless formula with no build up. Softens thick unmanageable hair and restores shine and softness to dull lifeless hair. Instantly absorbed into the hair, this trademarked product eliminates frizz, speeds up styling time by 40%, and provides long-term conditioning to all hair types. Moroccan Oil contains a unique formula that strengthens brittle hair while promoting healing to the hair. Also provides nourishment to hair damaged by coloring and styling. Creates an optimal balance for the hair and scalp. Moroccanoil nourishes the scalp by alleviating itchy, dry scalps. Protects against UV damage and other environmental factors. Reduces drying time. Although Moroccanoil is an oil treatment, it will not make your hair oily. Since healthy hair needs a fine balance of natural oils and vitamins, Moroccan Oil provides these much needed nutrients to make hair smoother and easier to manage without making the hair oily. Massaging a few drops of this oil into the hair just after shampooing and conditioning will guarantee an enhanced result... hair looks shinier and healthier after just one application. With multiple applications hair continues to improve - alleviating split ends and brittle breakage - without any oily residue! Moroccanoil is also a great product for people who color their hair. (1) It can be used directly on the hair before the color is applied (2) It can be mixed with the color products and then applied to the hair (3) It can be used as a conditioner after the entire color process has been completed. The benefits to this include: increased manageability, less frizz, enhanced color and color that lasts longer, increased elasticity, and great shine! The quantity of Moroccan Oil needed depends on the texture and volume of the hair: Highlighted hair will need more rather than less Moroccanoil. Virgin or untreated hair needs the least amount of Moroccanoil– perhaps a dime shaped amount rubbed into the palms and then through the hair.

I was recommended this product by my hair stylist for trying to encourage hair growth. While I didn't find that it helped in that regard, it has helped to eliminate frizz as well as provide nourishment for my scalp. Despite leaving a heavenly smell, I find that it makes my hair too oily too quickly (even though I use only a small amount).

At R380 I told myself I would never buy this. I could never justify paying that much for a hair oil. My hair dresser used it every time I went to her and I loved how my hair looked every time but still I couldn't allow myself to buy it. A few days ago, my sister dropped it off as a birthday present and I was in shock!
I washed my hair and applied a drop of the oil on the palm of my hands and applied it from the neck downwards on my hair. I have really long hair so I had to use quite a bit. I then used the same hands and lightly went over my scalp (I hate oily looking hair).
The smell is amazing. I will never get enough of it. No oil treatment has ever smelled this good to me.
After blowing my hair it instantly felt soft and smooth. I then flat ironed it and I didn't need a heat protective serum. My hair felt soft and was so shiny. Definitely love the results and now I really think I will purchase it if i have to.
Another thing is that you use very little on your hair so I can imagine this bottle lasting ages (its quite big).

This can be great for some hair but not mine as it was left all greasy even though I didn't apply a lot

I finally gave in and bought the Moroccan Oil for R380. It is quite pricey, but the product is amazing! I first tried it when my hairdresser used some of it in my hair before blow drying. My hair was super shiny, manageable and beautiful for the next few days. I normally have to wash my hair every 2nd day, but funny enough, my hair lasted for 3 days before I had to wash it.

I decided to invest in the product because my hair is very long and it gets tangled very easily when I sleep at night. I use 1-2 pumps of the product in my hair. I like the smell of the product, it is subtle and pleasant smelling. The oil gets absorbed into hair very easily, even when wet, which is when I apply it. It doesn't make hair more oily, it actually makes it less oily in my case and my hair is left softer, more manageable and looking super healthy.

I only apply it from the mid sections of my hair downwards to product the ends of my hair from split ends. I'm loving this product so far!

It is quite pricey, but it is definitely a product that does what it promises.

Highly recommended for all hair types :)

I went to the salon on Saturday and they used Moroccan Oil on my hair, which was a nice treat as I wanted to try before I buy this product. My hair had a nice glossy sheen to it and it was nice and soft so I cant fault the oil.

So yes Im thinking of splurging on it.

I have to be honest though and say that the scent of this is a bit off-putting for me. Now, don't get me wrong, it has a lovely just-stepped-out-the-salon smell. But it smells a bit like an old ladies fragrance - I have no idea why but that's what I'm thinking when I'm using it. However, this definitely doesn't stop me from smearing it all over my hair.

So, what exactly is Morroncan Oil? A powerful antioxidant and UV protector, Moroccanoil’s proprietary Argan oil blend is rich in vitamins and natural elements that fortify the hair, including Vitamin F (Omega 6), Vitamin A to improve elasticity, Vitamin E to protect against free-radicals, and Phenols to shield against environmental stressors

I use about half a pump for my medium-length hair and I only apply it mid-shaft to the ends of my hair. I do this before styling and after countless times of using it I can honestly say it really does cut down blow-drying time. My hair is sleeker, way more manageable and super glossy - tames frizz and flyaway's as well.

This is a silicone-based product so it should be used sparingly.
