Today was my first day in trying Mane and Tail shampoo and conditioner. I already feel a difference in my hair. It's a lot softer and manageable. I cant stop feeling my hair. feels like I had a treatment done. I will keep trying it and will comment again. I have heard that this product helps with faster hair growth, but lets see if it works for that or not.

I have the problem of thick, frizzy, generally unmanageable hair. And when the cold winds and rain of winter arrive, I am usually at my wits end.
But this year, I had a clever little product in my arsenal: Mane 'n Tail shampoo. As most of us would probably attest to, I was skeptical of a product bearing the picture of a horse on the label.
But after the very first use (and I'm not even exaggerating), my doubts were put to rest. My hair - long, thick and unfashionably frizzy - was soft and unbelievably silky to the touch. Combing my tangles out was not nearly as painful as it usually is and the styling process was cut in half.
I used a blow-drier followed by my trusty flat-iron, and my hair had a luminous, healthy glow. Best of all, I love how strong and healthy my hair now feels.
Mane 'n Tail for the win!

I was skeptical at first since this product was originally developed for horses but I'm quite pleased with the results. Leaves my hair very soft and shiny. I shampoo with it and then condition with the Mane 'n Tail Conditioner which is just as good!
I find that my hair quickly becomes accustomed to a new shampoo & conditioner and the initial results don't last more then a month but this product seems to have staying power.
However, I recently bought Mane 'n Tail Herbal Gro Shampoo and Conditioner and wasn't as pleased with the results. The product isn't as softening and smoothing as the original, but still makes my hair shiny/glossy.
The product cost R99 a bottle when purchased from a KZN pharmacy but around R135 per bottle at a Gauteng pharmacy. Not as expensive as salon products, not as cheap as off the shelf, but does have satisfactory results. It's an American product but the SA supplier stocks pharmacies country wide. Can't be found easily in leading pharmacies like Dischem however. It's well worth a try if you have dry/course/dull hair - gives it a lift and makes it much softer to the touch. I'm very happy and hoping the results last!
