This is the first eye primer I have ever used and I must say that now that I’ve used it, I can’t live without it. Without the primer, my makeup would always crease throughout the day, and the eyeshadow colours would fade. It was really annoying and unattractive. I read on a couple of reviews that eye primer helps prolong makeup as well as enhance the pigmentation. So I gave it a try, and I must say that it really works.
Only a little of the product is required. Apply a thin, even layer of the primer onto your entire eyelid and apply eyeshadow as per usual. You will notice the difference from the first time you use this product.
It costs around R145-R155 since MAC has recently increased their prices. Other eye primer alternatives are MAC Paint Pots in Soft Ochre, or Painterly Pot if you are light to medium skin toned. I’m not sure which paint pots are better for darker skin tones :) sorry... I will look next time I go to MAC. If you’re lucky to have Urban Decay makeup products sent from overseas, then Urban Decay’s Primer Potion is great too :)
