A sure fire way of getting your guy weak at the knees, is to flutter your long, luscious lashes at him. Valentine’s Day is around the corner and we know that no sexy eye makeup look is complete without lavish lashes.
While some of us are blessed with naturally thick, long, dark and curly lashes, others may have to put in a little more effort to get perfect peepers.
A coat of mascara is the quickest and easiest way to enhance your lashes. Finding the right one for you isn’t always as easy as it sounds. I am still searching for the perfect one. With so many different brands and formulas on the market, the process of deciding on the perfect product, is filled with trial and error. First you have to decide exactly what you want your mascara to do for your lashes. You get formulas that lengthen, add volume, darken and even treat. You must choose between waterproof or non-waterproof formulas. I always opt for the blackest of black mascara, but there are many other colour options available. Brown is a little more subtle, but what about rocking blue, purple, green or even red lashes?! I’ve heard that purple really makes brown eyes pop and I’m really keen to try it. If you want your lashes a shade or two darker, but you don’t like wearing makeup everyday you can opt for having your lashes tinted. This way your eyes will be beautifully framed without having to apply any make-up. You can have this done at a salon or you can purchase an at-home kit and do it yourself. Just be very careful when doing it yourself… it can be a bit tricky and the health of your eyes must come first.
Curly lashes usually look fuller and make your eyes appear wide open, but some of us need to reach for an eyelash curler to get this effect. The thought of a traditional lash curler scares me to death and I really have to get someone to show me exactly how to work it. I have seen the results and it’s really worth it. You also get a curler that looks like a little wand that heats up. Maybe this design will work a bit better for me? Either way, make sure that you get a quality product and that you know the best way to use it. Your eyelashes are very delicate and they should be treated as such.
False lashes are a fun, easy and inexpensive way to enhance your lashes for that big date or party. It may take a bit of practice to apply these perfectly, but once you get the hang of it, you will love the results. You can opt for a couple of individuals added to the outer corner of your lashes to create a subtle accent, or you can apply a full strip and go for full-on glamour.
A semi-permanent way of making your eyes look fluttery fabulous, is eyelash extensions. Eyelash extensions are done by professionals and they can create the exact effect that you are looking for. These extensions usually last for 4 to 6 weeks and the lashes gradually fall out without any damage to your own lashes.
