My hair was in desperate need of a makeover, but I haven't done a home dye job for ages...so was a bit nervous. Luckily my mom-in-law was standing by to help with the application. I've had my hair highlighted last summer so the regrowth was pretty extreme. My ends were blondish and my roots to mid-length - a mousy brown. I chose Sweet Honey in the Casting Glossy Honey range, recommended for blondes. Contains peroxide, but no ammonia.
Most of the colours in the Casting range is quite dark, so this one was the lightest. I had to apply two boxes as my hair is quite long and thick. Left it on for about 25 minutes (to cover my grey at the temples).
I was very pleased with the result! My hair felt silky smooth and in great condition. I was left with a coppery, dark honey colour. It just about lifted my hair colour and gave me the boost I needed.
Didn't cover my greys 100%, but helps it to blend in so that it's not too noticeable - good enough for me!
Lasts for 28 washes.
