Reporting Live from the Red Carpet, Celebrity Hair Stylist Marc Anthony
TORONTO, Feb. 13 – A night of glamour, music, dedications and divas at the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards. Celebrity Hair Stylist, Marc Anthony walked the Red Carpet to dish the Grammy ladies their top 10 grade on hair that’s hot and hair that’s not.
Any style goes when it comes to the Grammy Red Carpet, from a kaleidoscope of colour to elegant French twists – Marc Anthony was there to see it all and report all things Grammy hair. “All of this year’s Grammy stars have their own unique style that defines their image”, says Celebrity Hair Stylist Marc Anthony, “but the Red Carpet is really a showcase and the stars who do it best tend to switch it up a bit while keeping their underlying image intact.”
HOT
1.Rihanna
She always brings her best creative game and manages to keep herself the same, yet new. Tricky to do but she manages. We love her hair colour. It is a bit edgy while her blow out is old Hollywood glam hair. She looks like a very modern version of a 50s movie star and reminds us a bit of Mad Men gone naughty.
2.Eva Longoria
A sleek finish is quite rare for Eva. With that amazing face she carries it with ease. Her ponytail has a very current New York Fashion Week vibe.
3.Jennifer Lopez
Jennifer has stolen all of the extensions in Hollywood, but we can’t think of a better person to make this look work. Keeping the style natural makes it work in a much more modern way than Kim Kardashian for example. The centre part is also a nice touch. It’s a Winner!
4.Jada Pinkett Smith
Love the hair – natural with a bit of polish. A few of the curls have been “curled” to add a bit more finish to her big hair. She can work this so well.
5.LeAnn Rimes
Her look is very clean and modern and is a perfect choice for her dress. We love that it is sleek but not pulled back too tightly. We also like how clean it looks.
6.Jennifer Hudson
That fringe is so fabulous on Jennifer. Her face shape pops with this look. Sometimes the simplest things work best.
7.Ciara
We love that her hair has some movement to it. Even though it is straight keeping that slight bend gives it such a modern finish.
8.Keri Hilson
We love the blonde! We also adore her super side part and its asymmetrical vibe – it all works for her.
9.Selena Gomez
This girl is growing up into her own. You see it on Wizards of Waverly Place and can hear it in her voice. As she grows up so does her style. Selena takes her signature style and amps it up by taking the frizz out of her hair and adding a polished finish to her waves – classic Selena with a bit of an update.
10.Lea Michelle
The centre part suits her so well. She can look a bit too over-done but this is just perfect. It looks young with a little sophistication. Coupled with the high gloss it looks great.
NOT
Christina Aguilera
Hers is not the best in hair. She cannot seem to find a middle road since it is always overly polished or much too messy. It is lucky that her voice is so striking; so much that it is easy to forget that she did not pack any conditioner with her.
As the ending music plays and the Red Carpet is rolled up, everyone seems to be a winner this year when it comes to hair and style. Whether critics adore them or not, it’s their sense of individuality that really shined tonight and we say ‘congratulations’ to all.
