I was looking for a nice spray for summer, something to enhance and hold my natural curls without looking over-styled. I was immediately attracted to the bright pink packaging. It's very girly and the prices aren't bad.

First off the scent is disappointing. I read a few reviews and people said it smelt like a day at the beach. It smells like a very sweet perfume, no beachy or coconut scent in sight. Secondly the bottle says you need about 50 sprays on towel dried hair. It does state that you need to adjust for your hair length, but boy oh boy 50 sprays would be a nightmare. I only used about 15 sprays and that was way too much.

I tried a few different methods of using this spray and nothing gives the desired effect. I first tried drying my hair about 80% and then scrunching this product in. (big, bushy, frizzy mess). I then tried blow-drying my hair normally and scrunching a tiny bit in and clipping my hair back. (best one, a more layered look, but not wavy or curly.) I sprayed a few sprays on wet hair and used the diffuser attachment on the hairdryer. (worst one. frizzy and knotted).

It leaves my hair feeling extremely sticky and knotted. It has the most awful texture to it. It's certainly not soft to the touch. I use so little because even a small amount creates that overloaded hairspray effect. What I did notice was that it works better if I don't spray the product directly onto my hair. I spray into my hand and work it through my hair.

My sister also tried this and it created a very nice effect on her hair. She sprayed it on and let her hair dry naturally. She looked like a blonde beach babe. Very pretty. But she also didn't like the smell and she said her hair felt sticky and gross the next day. So it is possible to create the desired effect, but it didn't work for me.

Hi. No it's worse than that. It's a mixture of too much hairspray and something sticky. You know how your hair feels if it's dirty and you wet it but don't wash it. When it dries it feels knotted, tacky and it's almost impossible to comb. It might work on straight hair, but the key to using this product is not to use 50 sprays of it. You need to start off with a little bit and use your discretion for more. :)

This product sounds like a horror story. R95 bucks and they recomend 50 sprays!!! isn't it cheaper to get a blowout at the salon LOL

I once got a salt spray from Tony & Guy but it really didn't do anything for my straight hair so it went straight back to the store :-(

That's the main problem Iryna. The bottle says 50 sprays. But that is insane. Your hair would be one solid ball of stickiness. I have shoulder-length hair and I need about 4 sprays max. This is a trial and error product. You need to find what works for you.

I never take beauty products back, I'm always too scared they won't take it back.

My one friend recommended that Toni & Guy beach spray, but I never tried it. I have naturally curly hair, but it's also wild and frizzy. So need a product to control how much it curls.
