Lancôme Rouge In Love

I received this lipstick in a gift box, when I purchased my Lancome Doll Eyes Mascara. I have to admit I expected a bit more, especially for a brand such as Lancome. I loved the colour, as it matches my complexion perfectly. However, the lipstick itself is not very long lasting, so you will be required to apply it a few times. It is however soft and applies smoothly, and is quite hydrating. This colour is perfect for the more warmer months, but none the less I love wearing it in winter, to create that more soft dreamy look. All in all, not a bad lipstick, but will probably think twice before purchasing it again.

I tried shade 106M, Jolie Matins, which is a light peach colour. These are R270, so they’re mid-range edging towards pricey for a lipstick in my opinion, but mine glides on like butter and is deeply hydrating. I like the simple but high-quality design of the packaging and the lipstick tube has a luxurious heaviness to it in your hand. It’s not particularly long-lasting but it does leave a soft peach stain behind and your lips stay moisturised for a long time. They say it provides up to six hours of wear but maybe that depends on the shade. It fades evenly and doesn’t land up sitting in any lines if your lips are a bit dry. The colour is semi-sheer but can be built up well. I’m going to love this lipstick to death in Spring and Summer this year!

I love red lipstick, an one of my closest friends gave me as part of a birthday present, a stunning lancome lipstick, no. 123.

At first when using the lipstick (Birthday is in summer) for some reason is seemed more pink, even though I tried at different times of the day. What I realised is that this beautiful colour is perfect for winter.

Applying the lipstick / lipgloss is easy. I like the flat tip instead of a ‘foamy’ brush-type bristle. Its feels different, probably because I’m more used to having to squeeze the gloss from a tube, or use a different type of gloss.

Winter the cold season, I am very happy with this colour, it seems to show to be a more ‘true red’ with some indication or orange and coral.

Its supposed to last for about 8hrs and keep lips hydrated, but my personal opinion has two options:

Option 1: Keep applying the lipstick, this will feel more like applying thick lipice, and this will then eventually moisturize.

Option 2: After 1 application, my lips felt good, then eventually as if I didn’t have any colour on my lips, however, after 3 hrs my lips were feeling very flaky, and then eventually I decided to keep applying the colour in order to rather keep it moist than dry (the skin will eventually peel off and pain)

Luckily I didnt pay for it as I wasnt completely happy with the quality, but only the colour.

This lipstick is amazing I have never experienced a lipstick like it! The colour does come off like normal lipsticks but it still leaves a nice stain that last! It is really moisturising and contains collagen so it stays glossy,hydrated and plump on the lips. It also smells amazing like cherry pie

I received the cutest sample size of this lipstick in my June Limited edition Glossybox (http://www.geewhiskers.com/2012/05/stuttafords-edition-glossybox-june.html). The colour I received is called Corail in love - a beautiful mix of pink, orange and red that luckily does suit my skin tone.

This lip stick is said to last up to 6 hours but I haven't really experienced such long lasting capabilities, because one does need to eat and drink during the day. But the lipstick definitely does last incredibly well, way better than any other lipsticks I have used. Along with it's long lasting capabilities, it hydrates lips well and has a beautiful light feeling on my lips. The lipsticks retail for R250 at Stuttafords stores.

There are numerous colours in the range that seems to be updated on an on going basis. It is great that they release new shades, but it's going to be very upsetting if a person's favourite colour is discontinued.
