Hi Everyone
Before I start the review, I must apologise to the BB community and team for this review being sooo late. I was ill, hubby was ill and tons of work pressures.
Nevertheless, better late than never, thank you for giving me the opportunity to review this incredible product.
Here goes:
I have not dyed my hair in more than a year and wanted to try a vibrant, new, outrageous colour. A change is alwasy good.
Here is what I received in the pack from BB:
1 tube of no ammonia creme colourant
1 tube of developer
1 tip applicator
shine enhancing conditioner with royal jelly and
1 pair of professional cloves plus instruction leaflet.
Now, I must stress the importance of doing a skin allergy test before colouring hair. They really emphasize this on the instruction leaflet by applying the product to a place like behind your ear and leaving unwashed for 48 hours. If no reaction then, colour away! and....
never ever use the product to dye eyelashes or brows which I have seen some people do. This is a NO NO.
My method:
Change clothes; wear an old T-shirt or over coat that has been used. Make sure you have old towels on hand as well as lots and lots of newspapers to stand on and colour hair as the process can be quite messy. I remember the last time I coloured my hair, the bathroom was a huge mess that hubby nearly had a fit, so make sure you also clean up afterwards.
The instruction leaflet has clear guidelines on how to mix the colour by unscrewing the top of the developer tube, squeezing the colour into the tube and closing the tube with the applicator tip. Shake well before use!
Now I am bit of an amateur hair colourist so I followed the instructions to the T. There are 2 clear methods of colouring, either if hair is coloured or not coloured. My hair is already coloured so I followed the former approach. I wet my hair, slightly towel dried and started applying the colour at the roots after dividing hair into smaller sections. Wow, the product was cold and left a tingly feeling on my scalp. I massaged the colour into my scalp, waited 15 minutes before applying the mixture to the rest of the hair.
Once set, I washed off thoroughly and then applied some royal jelly conditioning on for 2 minutes.
and Voila, hair colouring done!
I just love my new colour, so rich, so vibrant, full of colour and full of life.
Mad about Mahogany.
Finally, there are some colour enhancing and protecting tips:
Always use a colour protect shampoo and conditioner.
Colour wonderful
