I really wanted to love this product! The packaging is super sleek and very pretty but I was not at all impressed with the shadows themselves.
The formula is very chalky and the colours are not pigmented enough. It doesn't transfer well from the pan to a brush and you really have to use a lot to get any colour pay off on your eyes. Also the way the shadows look in the pan look completely different once you apply them. The dual ended brush/applicator is ineffective, the brush and sponge applicator provide a streaky uneven application.
Overall a very disappointing product. If you're used to good quality eyeshadows which are soft, buttery, pigmented and easy to apply, this is not the palette for you.
The Beauty Brick Eye shadow Collection comes in four ranges starting with the Nudes, Neon’s, Ultra and Smokey each beauty brick comes with 12 colours and a convenient double ended brush with an applicator and eye shadow brush.
The Ultra which is a range of beautiful lavender and purple shades which go really well with brown eyes. With various shades ranging from light to dark with brown, charcoal colours for dimension and light shimmering colours for highlighting and for your base.
As for application they are really pigmented and were very easy to apply and blend into with the other colours, as for removing which was a breeze I didn’t have to struggle with any stubborn eye shadow.
The LA Girl Beauty bricks are great to have they are compact to travel with and they are really reasonable priced for all those shadows.
If there is one thing I love to spend my money on, it is eyeshadow and lipstick. I love nude shades, especially browns and bronzes. I heard so many positive reviews about the LA Girl Nudes Pallette; I rushed out to buy it, only to find it out of stock (naturally!). I decided to go home with the Ultra Pallette instead, because I have a ton of nude shades anyway, and I needed to add some bolder colours to my growing collection.
The Ultra Pallette is a perfect complement of dark browns, navy, and purples. The formula of the shadows are soft and wonderfully easy to blend. I found the shimmery shades to be creamier than the more matte shades which are slightly more powdery and less pigmented, but these are easy to build.
I tried this product for the first time for an event I attended. I used a bronze/light brown as a transition shade, a dark brown in the outer corners, a really pretty coppery red-brown shade to accent the centre of my lid (my fave!) and a lighter colour to highlight the inner corners and my brow bone. There are SO many looks to create with this pallette and I can't wait to venture into the navy shades -- a look I have never tried before!
This product is great value for money, and bargain beauty lovers should definitely give it a try if they haven't already.
As you know i received this palette from Beauty bulletin. At first i was apprehensive because i usually shy away from bold shades of color on my eye for obvious reasons, ,y darker complexion being the big factor.
This one pleasantly surprised me though. The palette its self has 12 colors and their all shimmery (just the way i like it)!
people usually say that shimmery shadows dont blend out as well ad matt shades but i found the opposite true here.
Their long lasting and blend great
Amazing shades and i even use the very lightest shade to highlight my eyebrows
I really cannot say anything but good things for this product its my new bestie!
I had read so many reviews about it and I was terribly excited to try it. So here it is, my view on their latest range of products.
The eye-shadow palettes, when I saw them I couldn’t just buy the one I ended up buying two. The first of which is the ‘Ultra’ palette, it contains a variety of dark shimmery colours as well as matte colours ranging between browns and purples. The other was the ‘Nudes’ palette, I think the name sort of speaks for itself but I immediately fell inlove with it and instantly knew that I had to have it. These colours aren’t madly pigmented, they allow room for error. All in all I do not for a second regret making that purchase. Not to mention how much the palettes look like that of the Urban Decay- Naked Range... Who's complaining though, its stunning.
