Iv been impressed before with a Katy Perry fragrance and I'm again pleasantly surprised! I was very lucky to have cosmo gift me a bottle and I was excited before I even smelt it cause of how stunning the bottle it! If you hold the bottle up to a light it shines through the most beautiful color. and the scent that followed was feminine devine! so sweet and fresh and floral and I find it has a soft powder note to it that is lovely!
And it lasts long on me and that's hard to find!
Great addition to my collection and with such a beautiful bottle I feel like I should carry it around in my hand bag just to show it off!

Can not comment on the product itself but loved the campaign, I just don't get to the stores that much. Love the bottle and is on my list to try.

I'm a huge fan of Katy Perry and her fragrances, and other than Purr, this is one of my favourite fragrances.
It doesn't seem to stay on for as long as Purr does, but at least that means it's a very light and non-intoxicating scent.
It's quite sweet and fruity, which is just my kinda fragrance.
My problem? Its shape makes it difficult to place the bottle upright. XD

The price range is a bit daunting for me, being a student. I love the packaging, the bottle is gorgeous and the box is also very pretty. I did feel that the smell was somewhat overpowering at first. I do however like the smell once the fragrance settles onto my skin. I find it to be a very warm scent. Unfortunately the fragrance did not last the entire day for me.

Overall it is a lovely fragrance and the beautiful bottle is a definite must for any perfume bottle collector.

I am a perfume bottle collector and Royal Revolution has by far exceeded the rest of my collection. A Gem-shaped blue glass bottle, bringing the theme of royalty and what it entails perfectly across. As the bottle suggests, diamonds can make a girl feel and smell like royalty.

Lovely fragrance, just as beautiful and dominating on the inside as on the outside. It is an inspiring fragrance with strong accords of woody and white floral accents.

This fragrance is as beautiful as it is bold - just like Katy Perry herself! Love, Love, LOVE this scent!

Madly, deeply, passionately. I think I may have found the perfume I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Who is the lucky bugger, you ask? It's the brand new fragrance by Katy Perry, Killer Queen's Royal Revolution. Now, I'll start off by saying, I am a huge Katy Perry fan – she is the sister of my soul.
She's like a big, beautiful, delightful ball of candy floss and energy! I love her crazy outfits, her hair, her music... I have a total woman crush on her.

I had high expectations for this perfume, and it didn't disappoint! It's Katy Perry in a beautiful, shiny, blue bottle. It's sexy, flirty, bold and fun. It makes me feel like I'm walking on marshmallow sunshine, wearing cupcake lingerie. (okay, that sounds a bit odd) But it's a good feeling ;)

About this delightful fragrance:

Top notes: Pink freesia & Pomegranate
Middle notes: Sandalwood, Orange blossom, Jasmine
Base notes: Vanilla orchid, Leather, Musk and Mystical Blackthorn

The bottle is ombre blue, from a dark turquoise top to an almost clear bottom tip. The cap is gun metal with her initials on one side, and two cats with a cross in the center on the other side. Engraved around the base of the cap is "Katy Perry Killer Queen". The bottle alone looks so classy and expensive.
a Random fun fact, Blackthorn was used in spells in the olden days! And I have to describe the smell as pure magic. It's a fruity floral fragrance, to me the pomegranate is the main smell that comes through when I spray it, more than the pink freesia. It's a perfect summer perfume, and it can be worn both during the day and at night, but I wouldn't waste this precious liquid on a trip to the mall. This is my special occasion perfume (and yes, some days, when I feel like it - cleaning the kitchen can count as a special occasion). It lasts well throughout the day, better on my neck and chest than it on my wrists, because my hands are in water a lot during the day. I would say it lasts a good 5 hours or so. In my opinion it's more of a youthful fragrance, but obviously anyone can wear it. My mother thinks it smells absolutely vile - but no one asked her. Haha!

There is no doubt that anything Katy Perry has to offer will be nothing less than fierce.
Royal Revolution is centre stage as it takes the throne as the sassy new edition to the Killer Queen family.

So, how does this Royal compare to her predecessors you might ask?
This fragrance captivates the senses in more ways than one: the bottle resembles a perfectly crafted gem , the packaging will no doubt have your eyes in awe of its aesthetic.

Fruity florals fit for a queen - I loved how this fragrance makes use of striking pomegranate , pink freesia and orange flower nots which is bound to grant all eyes on you when you enter a room.
Majestic musks are a must - After the initial fruity notes fade ,a smooth majestic side of the Queen is revealed. Warm notes of sandalwood, black thorn and vanilla create a smooth and utterly royal scent which will leave you feeling powerful.
I loved how these two extremes worked in perfect unison , allowing me to embrace my fun side as well as my sultry side.

This Queen takes her reign day to night. I loved how versatile this fragrance was. Its not too overpowering for daytime use and its not too subtle for evening use. So it works for powerful women no matter where their kingdom takes them. :) However it may require reapplication every few hours. ( although its not neccessary as the softer notes do linger in the background).

This is definitly a fragrance I would recommend adding to your own collection especially if you are a fan of soft fruity fragrances! The price is reasonable for a newly released celebrity fragrance. So its really worth it!:)

I was recently sent this fragrance to test out for Beauty Bulletin and it's been an interesting addition to my fragrance collection. Katy Perry's Royal Revolution is her third fragrance (although I'm no familiar with the first 2) It is a heady floral fragrance in a bottle inspired by the beauty of a blue diamond.

My initial experience of the scent is that it is quite sweet, fruity berries was my first thought, with top notes of red pomegranate and pink freesia plus jasmine and orange flower in the heart, you can't expect much less. What is really interesting about the scent is that after the top notes fade you are left with a base of unusual scents such as blackthorn, leather and skin musk - which lend themselves to a more mythical scent, perfect for nights when you want to create some drama!

Royal Revolution is very reasonably priced and comes in a unique bottle, but unfortunately it's not my favourite scent of the moment. I don't reach for it everyday and when I do I don't find myself going in for a quick perk-me-up sniff during the day... I think I find the scent too rich and overpowering and it's just not working well with my skin's chemistry, unfortunately I think I will be moving this one along to a friend!

I was so exited when I found out I was one of the chosen ones to review the "secret" fragrance.


And when my parcel arrived I couldn't wait to unwrap it to finally reveal the mystery . To my surprise the celebrity was Katy Perry and the fragrance Royal Revolution. Which is an addition to the Killer Queens collection. I've never thought of buying any of her perfumes so I was kinda exited to try this one out.


The box on its own will make you wanna stop and look at the perfume, it's elegantly designed with shiny silver prints.


The perfume itself is in a diamond shaped bottle which is a pretty shade of dark blue from the top and lighter as it gets to the bottom, topped with a grey crest sitting on a crown as the lid. I loved how the bottle perfectly resembled the notes of the perfume, the darkness of the bottle and crest which to me was the mystical blackthorn , sandalwood and leather.The ellegance and softness of the diamond shape was of course the pink freesia,Red Pomegranate, Orange Flower and Jasmine Petals.

So I sprayed a little bit on my pulse point and it had me at first breath. The top notes are a fresh floral yet fruity smell of Pink Freesia and Red Pomegranate. And the middle notes which didn't take long to come out and play were Sandalwood, Orange Flower and Jasmine Petals, the sandalwood perfectly balances out the sweetness. And the bottom notes were a delightful smell of the Mystical Blackthorn Vanilla Orchids leather and skin musk. Which gave it that masculine yet feminine smell that'll make you wanna walk chest out stomach in and one foot infront of the other, it'll leave you feeling like you can conquer anything. This is a fragrance truelly fit for a queen.

The magical thing about this perfume is that everytime I smelt my pulse point, I could smell a different strong aroma of each of the ingredients used. And after about 6 hours I couldn't smell anything, but people that walked past me could still pick up the smell. And when asked I was more than happy to woop out my lil blue diamond potion. In a world where fairytales have become nothing more than stories for little girls and most countries no longer have a royal family ruling them, the idea of royalty has slowly faded into a distant dream. A fragrance that is as beautiful as it is bold, as royal as it is rebellious.

This fragrance is Katy Perry's 5th scent and her 3rd with Coty in the Killer Queen range.

Royal Revolution comes in a gorgeous, exotic looking box and in an exquisite blue glass bottle. Its gem-like shape makes you feel like you are holding a prized treasure and has you wondering if a royal sceptre in a land far, faraway is missing its precious crowning jewel. The cap on this bottle is in an armour inspired gun-metal tone to portray fearless courage. It showcases the custom royal crest to Katy Perry's fragrance empire.
The packaging of this perfume symbolises a kind of beauty that, though delicate, is a force to be reckoned with.

The Royal Revolution fragrance had me at Hello. It is fresh, clean and crisp. When I spritzed it, it opened up with a dark sweet note. This is due to the tantalising top notes of pink freesia kissed by the nectar of ruby-red pomegranate that delight your senses. These top notes quickly lift and the heart of the perfume kicks in. It is the middle notes of sandalwood balanced with sheer orange flower and velvety jasmine petals that create a soft, delicate floral heart. The base notes of the Mystical Blackthorn, sexy musk and soft vanilla orchid give it an unexpected twist in the dry-down.

This floral yet slightly fruity fragrance really took me by surprise. It is not overpowering and it mellows to a sweet and soft linger on the skin in the dry-down. It is very wearable, whether day or night, throughout the year with the different notes shifting depending on the season and body chemistry.

Royal Revolution is interesting and unique because of the addition of the Mystical Blackthorn which epitomises the balance of feminine beauty and wild rebellion with its delicate white flowers protected by its prickly ebony bark. It reminds me of that confident woman who knows where she is going in life - so the world steps aside to give her room. However, as you get to know her with time, you get to see the woman underneath it all, her softer side and get to appreciate the perfect harmony of beauty and power.

The longevity of this fragrance on me is about 3 hrs. You will definitely need to re-apply during the day to keep this scent going. However, the longevity can be increased by using the accompanying body care collection to layer the scent.

Among consumers, this Killer Queen is destined to lead a Royal Revolution because everyone loves the scent of victory! According to Royal Revolution marketing team, It's indeed a new sensibility, a wild way of holding courting with rebellion on her mind and defiance on her playful lips.

I was thrilled when I found out that I was one of the lucky ladies to be given this “royal”treatment and by that I mean the honour of testing out this product... So without further a due, let the reviewing begin!

Dazzling palace walls have nothing on the packaging. It is mesmerizing to say the least.The bottle itself has been molded to resemble a blue diamond with a royally crafted gun-metal cap.
-The bottle is encased in an exquisite blue and silver box that is embossed with a beautiful pattern.

In terms of product presentation and design, I love it!

The Fragrance
-The fragrance carries identifiable notes of pomegranate, sandalwood, jasmine, blackthorn, vanilla and musk.
-When applied, I could definitely recognize the fruity and floral notes of this fragrance. It starts off strong and flirty and as it faded and warmed with my skin I could smell the warm musky vanilla.
-I love how this fragrance starts off with a powerful scent and then fades to a smooth musky vanilla as it settles on the skin.
-I left the house smelling like a force to be reckoned with... I came home with the Scent of Victory! ;)

Things I loved:
-The initial fruity burst that fade to a smooth vanilla.
-The pomegranate makes this fragrance “Purr-fect”for Spring! While the musky vanilla makes it destined for those summer nights!

General thoughts

-Mostly I use this fragrance in the day time and I found that it lasts quite well.
-Scent lasts about 5 hours so you may need to reapply every so often. :)
-A lot of people complimented me on my fragrance.

And so are the lyrics to the famous Queen song: Killer Queen. Those lyrics explain this fragrance for me so well. I'm pretty sure Katy Perry used these lyrics as a reference when deciding on this perfume. But before I break out further into song....let me start my journey to royal revolution from the beginning....

I love the packaging! It suits the feel of the perfume so well. It almost felt like I was given an old music box from the 1600's yet it has a modern twist to it. The bottle itself is out of the ordinary as well. With its gem-like design it is straight from Alice in Wonderland. It really does remind me of something that the Red Queen would use....being a 'killer queen' herself.

I instantly enjoyed the smell of the fragrance when I used it for the first time. It is a very soft smell with hints of spice....exactly how a Queen comes across. The only bad critique that I would give this fragrance is that it does not last long. The smell fades through the day so one ends up using a lot more of the fragrance than probably needed. For me, a fragrance's smell should last the whole day. I am using another pop-star's fragrance as well, and the smell lasts for up to 24hrs. Therefore, I was expecting it from this fragrance too.

Besides that, I really enjoyed experimenting this fragrance and give a big thumbs up to everyone who worked on it!

Time to get wild with the Killer Queen, Katy Perry's Royal Revolution, new fragrance in the house. You cannot afford not to own this! Try it out ladies, its a must that you smell this good!

A little bit touch of sexiness, feminine and boldness but with a more rebellious approach, At first glance one would underestimate you but as you move closer the scent of the Royal Revolution will state otherwise.

The atmosphere changes and the perceptions also change, the once 'normal' lady suddenly turns into a queen as she passes by. Talk about authority and knowing your position in society, Royal Revolution gives you that boost to go all and not be intimidated by anyone or anything.

Summer means being loud and bright and this fragrance is more fruitier and floral. Made up of top notes of Pink Freesia and Pomegranate.The middle notes of Sandalwood, Orange Flower and Jasmine Petals add a richness. The base notes of Black Thorn, Skin Musk and Vanilla Orchard add a leather base.

I was summoned by the royal court to be a warrior in this exciting revolution.. I accepted this duty with pride and excitement!
I was sent a secret box that contained a gorgeous bottle that resembled a precious gem... this blue diamond was the key to the entire mission.

I was instantly memorised when I smelt this fragrance! Immediately I knew that this scent held mystifying power and would memorise anyone that happen to inhale its sweetness and brightness.
It's predominately floral fragrance with top notes of Pink Freesia and Pomegranate are captivating!
The middle notes of Sandalwood, Orange Flower and Jasmine Petals add a richness without being sickly sweet.
And the base notes of Black Thorn, Skin Musk and Vanilla Orchard add a leatherish depth.
And to let you in on a little secret, Black Thorn is a magic ingredient that was even used in spells in the middle ages!

You can wear this enchanting fragrance it both day and night so that you maintain your power 24/7. You may just need to re apply about every 5 hours for maximum effect.
However it does tend to work best in summer and spring.

I was lucky enough to receive a sample of this lovely fragrance! Boy was I happy when I saw this beautiful colourful bottle!
And to my surprise the scent matched the beautiful bottle =) yay!!!
I got so many compliments when I wore this fragrance. It is womanly, yet rebellious, feminine, yet strong! The floral and fruity flavours are divine!
The bottle design is a charm although you don't quite know how to store it as it cannot stand up straight - but it is all worth it. It is so beautiful I would keep it after the perfume is used up :-)
I must say this fragrance has a way of captivating you... it just lifts your mood as soon as you smell it! I am in love with it! I just wish it could last a bit longer...the smell does fade after 3-4 hours. Overall I give this fragrance a double thumbs up!!

I have to admit, I am skeptical when it comes to celeb perfumes because most smell quite generic and tends to be a cheaper imitation of a more luxurious brand. My favourite scent is a fruity floral scent and that's exactly what this Katy Perry Royal Revolution is - a fruity blend with a dash of floral.

The bottle is inspired by the beauty of a precious Blue Diamond.

With scents of: pink freesia, black thorn, pomegranate, orange flower, sandalwood, jasmine petals and base notes of soft leather, skin musk, vanilla orchid, this perfume is an adventure to the senses - is it more fruity or more floral? I love that the scent is light enough to wear during the day, but can pair well with a little black dress and high stilettos for a night out. Every time I wear it, I smell something different, mesmerizing, beautiful. The scents that stands out most for me is definitely the orange flower and the musk, making this a soft and girly scent with extra oomph.

The only cons I have is:
- the smell is not really long lasting - it fades within about 5 hours and that's why I rated it a 3.
- the bottle is a little bit impractical to store (but there's ways we can work around that). I still love the powerfully elegant design.

The Killer Queen perfume is definitely one I will be sporting throughout summer.

I am one of the lucky ladies who was chosen for a review on Katy Perry’s new scent, ROYAL REVOLUTION™.

My first impression is the presentation of the product, not only for the beautiful artwork on the cover box but also the colours. One of the downsides is the design of the bottle even though it has the beautiful shape like a blue diamond, I can’t place it with my collection of scents because it must be packaged again to stand upright but not to worry i wil be making a stand for it to fit with the rest.

The ROYAL REVOLUTION™  is truly Katy Perry’s best scent so far, like the whole range of her KILLER QUEEN’s™ scents, this one has an aroma of beauty. It is a sweet scent with a touch of royalty. This scent is an addiction to my personality, it makes me feel like a killer queen with the scent of victory.

I recommend any girl or lady to give thought about this scent for I would definitely have this scent as part of my wardrobe, not only part but the one item that will be the finishing touch to the top point of beauty. Doesn’t matter if it’s just for an every day matter or when you want to spend the night out with friends. I have had no side effects like rash or burn which makes it an excellent product within a good price range.

When I received my parcel, I was anxious to open up. On opening I was surprised as this bottle was so beautiful. The shape and colour is very unique. And I love the cap as well shaped as a crown.
This is a floral fragrance with top notes of Pink Freesia and Pomegranate. The middle notes of Sandalwood, Orange Flower and Jasmine Petals, this adds richness without being sickly sweet. The base notes of Black Thorn, Skin Musk and Vanilla Orchard. I love the inclusion of Blackthorn which was used in spells by witches in the Middle Ages.
This bottle comes in a blue diamond. It rests on its side so won’t topple over.
I would wear this for both day and night. It’s not overly sweet or musky so I feel it works for me at any time although this one definitely belongs in the Spring/Summer

When it comes to celebrity fragrances, I often am not blown away by them. This is usually because the quality of the ingredients aren't as great as their more expensive counterparts and the fragrances seem unimaginative so that they get that mass market appeal.

Katy Perry's latest offer, Royal Revolution, really has me intrigued. It's one of those fragrances that is so dynamic and complex that each time you wear it you pick up different notes. The notes are floral and slightly fruity at the same time - a perfect balance between the two. I personally love fruity fragrances but I don't want to smell like air freshener, so the addition of the floral notes real balances things out nicely. The top notes are aromas of red pomegranate and pink freesia. The heart of the fragrance contains Jasmine and orange flower and sandalwood. The base is blackthorn, vanilla orchid, leather and skin musk. As you can see by the list of fragrances this truly is dynamic!

The bottle is based on a blue diamond that is truly beautiful to look at. This perfume not only smells expensive, the bottle makes it feel expensive. I really love the unusual shape of the bottle and how the the lid looks like a crown topped with Katy Perry's royal crest.

When it comes to perfume, I can be quite a snob - I am not going to lie. But in all honesty, this is a perfume I can see myself wearing every day. It is absolutely perfect for summer and the price makes it something you can afford to wear everyday without having the dreaded "Replacement Cost" in the back of your mind.

If I had to recommend one celebrity fragrance to a friend to buy - it would be this one! Katy Perry really has a great range of perfumes and this one in particular is fantastic!

The bottle appears like a sapphire with different gorgeous shades of blue symbolising strength and power. Topped with a beautiful royal crest cap which dazzles at first glance with a metallic appearance which spells out the fearless courage of The Killer Queen.

I don't think there's a word in the English dictionary to describe my excitement, when I received the news that I was chosen to review the Killer Queens - Katy Perry's, new fragrance.. It was tough keeping this hush hush from you beauties for a week! Once I received the package, I tore it open, to find the most beautiful colored blue and silver box, so elegant and so so sassy, marked with name of the fragrance, "Royal Revolution", the scent of victory.. The bottle is beautifully and uniquely shaped, in a few shades of blue, with a gun metal cap, showing Katy Perry's custom royal crest.. The scent is a mixture of : pink freesia; ruby red pomegranate; sandalwood; sheer orange flower; jasmine petals; sexy musk; soft vanilla; white flowers and ebony bark.. Ever walked pass someone and they smelt so good, that you stop, go back and ask them what they're wearing? That's what happened to me this pass week while using this perfume! The smell is truly breathtaking, it's sweet and attractive, and instantly boosts your confidence.. Try it for yourself, drop by at any retailer, like Edgars;Foschini; Stuttafords etc, and spray a tester, and I promise you'd be walking out the store with a bottle of this amazing perfume.. You'd think for a perfume of this quality and by the queen herself would be ridiculously priced? Well guess again, I was shocked at how reasonably priced a bottle is : 30ml=R395 50ml=R495 100ml=R595
200ml Body Lotion=R135.. It's only been a week using this perfume, and my bottle is almost half way done, I'm obsessed with this smell, it's a scent you will never get tired of! Already saving up to get myself the 100ml bottle! You want to feel irresistible, sexy and confident, at first breath? Then get yourself a bottle of this fragrance, you won't go wrong!

I had the priviledge or rather the honour to smell this incredible new fragrance by our beloved Katy at Dischem Clearwater Mall. They gave some mini samples and have a huge tester bottle on display in the store. You are welcome to spray directly on to yourself or on a little smell paper to get the incredible scent first in your nose.

Truth be told, immediately when I noticed it, I knew I had to try it out so I psrayed some on my wrist and wow, a burst of fresh fragrance in my nose. I could certainly pick up a great floral scent which consists of Jasmine, Sandalwood, maybe some lavendar and much loved vanilla, without a doubt vanilla.

The smell is not overpowering, instead I find it purely and irrevocably feminine, slightly different from her previous fragrances but just as great. I think, from the Killer Queen range, this one has to be my favourite.

I was a bit put off by the price but, because it Kary Perry I am happy to fork out around R 400 for the bottle. Saving this for a special occassion.


Before I forget, I must mention that the fragrance lasts and lasts and lasts........

Somehow, the fragrance ended up on my hands and even after washing it, I could still smell it as strong as though I just applied it.


Royal Revolution is a fun, funky, floral fragrance for rebellion and vixen in you so go ahead and just rebel like Katy did!

A pleasant fragrance characterized by its floral and musk fusion. Definitely worth popping into your handbag for the occasional spritz of this spell bounding scent throughout the day.
