Johnson’s® Vita-Rich Pomegranate Body Care Range

I used the johnsons range for the eye catching brighteing properties of the pomegranate .well my honest opinion of it smells amazing smooths your skin and makes it silky but the brighteing part i did not see any difference in my complexion i think its just a marketing strategy but for those who are not looking for the brighteing properties should try it but those who were attracted by the "brightening " should stay away from it as it does nothing in that specific category . But over all i enjoyed it but wish it did what it promised in the brightening compartment. Thank you.

I actually loved these products, usually skin care products dry Mt skin out....... But not Johnson's! It really goes well for people who have my skin type: medium caramel shade, not too oily but nose is, no acne problems, and deliciously soft skin.????????

So I tried all 3 of these products and I must say that I was extremely impressed! Due to my skin issues I only used it once just to try as I have to use a specific medicated lotion for my skin.....Anyway... The lotion and shower gel smelt amazing, so good I almost wanted to taste it lol. Its a great product and easy on the wallet!

OH MY!!! This has got to be my favourite body wash by far!! After years of trying various products, never fully satisfied as the fragrance seldom lasts long. However, i think i have found my new favourite product which is cost effective and makes me feel cleansed all. The fragrance even lingers on my wash cloth and leaves my bathroom smelling good too. Absolutley love Johnsons body wash and would recommend it any day, any time :)

Pomegranate is my favorite scent of all time and when I found out Johnson's had made a range of stuff infused with it I was quick to get on that train! Especially because I had recently found out the company that produces the pomegranate shower gel and lotion I used to use tests on animals :(
Body Wash: I love how I don't have to put a lot of it on my loofah in order to get a lot of lather. They also got the smell on lock. Only disappointment is that the scent of it doesn't last strongly on my skin for too long after rinsing and getting dressed.
Body Lotion: The lotion moisturizes my dry skin, which is hard to do lol (especially my legs). My skin also for some reason feels tighter when I use it, this is a good thing although I don't know that was their plan. As for the brightness, I'm not sure how to tell but I can say it doesn't look dry and dull. As for the scent though, I just wish it lasted longer and I walked around smelling like I have just applied it; all day.

This lotion is so effective at brightening skin and preventing hyperpigmentaion. I have strange red spots on my legs and due to the properties of the pomegranate essence my weird red spots are disappearing. Not to mention I've only been using this product for a few weeks now. My progress has probably been sped up due to the fact that I use the body wash in conjunction with the lotion for added effectiveness.

I absolutely love the body wash, these are affordable, great quality and does the job pretty well. The Rose water scent is my fav!

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

• WHAT I EXPECT FROM A MOSITURIZER
My skin type is sensitive, yet changes to dry or oily according to the Seasons of the year. When I purchase a moisturizer I expect it to deeply cleanse my skin leaving it feeling fresh and movable and not like sandpaper or like cement is stuck to my face. I love a moisturizer that leaves me feeling confident and ready to take all that the day has in store for me.

When I first laid eyes on the products I was given I couldn’t stop smiling. I was a complete girl that had an “eek” moment. I’ve tried and smelled the body lotions (I have yet to make use of the body wash) and in my opinion these are my thoughts accordingly:

Raspberry extract – wildberries aroma
The packaging looks great, the berries make me sort of hungry and it makes me crave berries, cherries, you name it. The fragrance reminds me of my Friday/Saturday & my odd occasional Sunday late afternoon/evenings on the patio drinking cocktails with my girlfriends. Definitely a lotion to use to feel sexy.

Papaya extract
Again, the packaging looks great. The orange catches my eye. It’s pleasant and majestic. The fragrance allows me to picture myself in a fruit field where I am relaxing comfortably on a picnic blanket, enjoying the rays of the sun shimmer down on my skin (sun kissed – that is why the orange is perfect).

Grape seed oil
(This is my favourite)
The colours displayed make me feel calm & relaxed. Just like a hot bubble bath with a cup of hot chocolate in the one hand & and a romantic book in the other hand. This is by far my personal favourite as it was the most appealing smell that made me drift away to a place where I didn’t have to worry about a thing.

I have always been a huge fan of Johnson's when i saw the new range, i just couldn't wait to try it. These products are silky soft on the skin and the fragrance lasts all day long. I absolutely love rose scented body products, but when i tried the pomegranate products i was super impressed! Absolutely devine!

I was first informed of the Johnsons Vita Rich range by a friend of mine who had recently visited India. She waxed lyrical about the brightening lotion with pomegranate extract so I was very enthusiastic about trying it out and therefore, made it my first choice in this review process.

I have semi typical Indian skin in that I am prone to dark marks and uneven skin tone. I also experience dryness during colder months and my insatiable skin is usually left parched from most body moisturisers, hence the switch to body oil. I look for a body range that is able to cater to thirsty skin, treat uneven skin tone and is gorgeously scented. Also a range that respects the pH of my skin as I find that heavily scented products or products with severe ingredients tend to leave my skin irritated, dull and uneven. A fresh healthy glow is key. Especially as I approach 30. I work in the steel engineering industry, so I also require a product that works fast, with longevity, as I endure early mornings and harsh conditions.

I am happy to report that on my very first use I fell in love with the sweet fragrance of this range. I was also pleased to see that a tiny amount resulted in a generous lather. My skin did not feel tightened or parched and there was no skin irritation. The lotion had a gel like consistency which I love, and absorbed quickly and easily into my skin. My skin feels comfortable and soft and I smell great :)

So far, so good. Looking forward to making this product partial to my routine.

I was so excited when my Johnson’s products arrived at my house. I don’t think I’ve been that excited about something in a long time. I was so excited to open the packaging up that I didn’t even bother to play with the bubble wrap like I usually do with deliveries.
The first thing that caught my attention, my sense of smell in particular, is the amazing aroma that was coming from my package. The Vita-Rich Brightening Body Wash with pomegranate flower extract was the one that caught my sense of smell the most.

The packaging is so beautiful. And I love how you don’t have to squeeze with the power of five weightlifters just to get some product out of any of the bottles. All the products smell absolutely amazing and I love how the body washes and body lotions have matching fragrances, it makes it so much easier to “build” on fragrance. I have a feeling that using the body wash and the matching fragranced body moisturizer will make for an interesting and long lasting combo, so excited to try these amazing products out and see the results. I am not a major fan of body bar soaps as they tend to strip my skin of its natural oils and leave my skin feeling extremely dry so I am super excited to try the Johnson’s bar soaps the most and see if they will be any different.

What I Want

When I was younger, before I took the time out to figure out my skin type and what exactly it is I should look for in a product, I used to just pick whatever body moisturizer I could find and use that. Of course that never worked out quite well. Now that I know my skin a little more and pay attention to its needs and wants I am more cautious about what products I use and what ingredients are in each and every beauty product I purchase.

I have extremely dry skin that needs a lot of “outside help” when it comes to staying hydrated, moisturized and non-flaky. The fact that I am addicted to taking showers and staying clean and thus take at least two showers a day probably doesn’t help in my mission to have moisturized skin as we all know taking showers and baths can sometimes strip your skin of those essential oils.

I am therefore constantly looking for body products that not only leave me feeling squeaky clean (because my love for relaxing showers and baths will never fade) but also leave my skin feeling amazingly moisturized at the same time.

I am someone who loves anything to do with skin care. Everyone knows the amazing Johnson’s brand and trusts it as it has been around for quite some time. So when I received these goodies to test I was ecstatic.

My skin type: I generally have quite a dry skin as I love spending time in the sun and love having hot baths in the wintertime and as most of us know this tends to dry out the skin.
I struggle to find really good body cream’s/lotions as I am picky when it comes to texture and scent. I find it very unpleasant when creams leave a greasy residue on the skin in summer and those that are not moisturizing enough in winter.

First impression on Vita-rich body care range

• Vita-rich replenishing body wash: The first thing that I noticed about the body wash was the lovely aroma that instantly hits your senses. This was enough of an introduction to get me to hop in the shower and indulge in these beautiful aromas, it seemed as though the Papaya body wash was the first to lure me into it’s beautiful scent. With each having their own scent, varying from Raspberry, Papaya and rose water. It was challenging not to jump into the shower several times the day I received the Johnson’s Secret body care range. I love a good body wash that lathers and foams up as this one did, it was soothing but left me feeling fresh and my skin moisturized after the first wash.

• Vita-rich replenishing soap bar: What I loved is that Johnson’s managed to carry through each of the aromas into the other products as well. The soap bar was also an instant hit with me. I find I use soap bars more often than body washes although I love both. This one in particular lathered up beautifully whilst it’s subtle aromas filled up the air around me. Not leaving my skin feeling dry or cracked due to its protecting oils.


• Vita-rich replenishing body lotion: Fast absorbing, non-greasy, with continued moisture throughout the day was my first impression of this lotion, and again with the beautiful aromas hugging my skin. Short and sweet, the body lotion ticked all the boxes on first use.

A well rounded Johnson’s body care range indeed.

I'm really loving the Johnson's Brightening Pomegranate body care range. One is greeted by the distinct and fresh scent during application onto the body. I feel awake in the mornings after bath time. I'm able to have a positive outlook on the day to come just because of the scent. The body lotion keeps my skin bright and nourished. The bar soap has enough faom to make me feel super clean. The product is nicely packaged and allows one to travel well with. Johnson's Brightening Pomegranate body care range is my new best friend.

I just love the fresh, fruity scent of this body wash. Was a bit skeptical in the beginning as I don't usually try new brands when it comes to shower gels but this one is a new favoritism of mine. Keen to try out the other flavors as well.

First Impressions:
First thing I noticed was the amazing refreshing fruity smell of all the products.The pomegranate brightening body wash has an extremely pleasant ball of energy and smile in a bottle scent which is perfect for those lazy do I really need this job mornings.

The Package size of all three products (shower gel, lotion and soap) is pretty decent even the soap bar weighs in at 175g which is a lot of product for "beauty" soaps.
Johnson & Johnson have stuck to their signature packaging, that is a shapely plastic bottle and packaging consisting of their traditional pink and white colours. Although simple and traditional I see no fault with the packaging - if it ain't broke why fix it right?
Lids of the shower gel are steady and provide a tight close which hopefully means no water will enter while showering so product won't get diluted over time. The consistency of the shower gel was smooth, which was a shock as the product is made from pitted fruits - I was expecting some kind of grainy texture.

Upon a mini trial run due to curiosity I noticed the shower gel dripped out with easy - no squeezing of the bottle required.
The moisturizer was not too thick and not too runny and or body butter like.

My type of skin:
I have normal skin all over my body although it can get pretty dry and ashy in the colder seasons.
I like a moisturizer that easily absorbs into the skin and leaves my skin feeling smooth, looking radiant, even and youthful all day without the need to constantly reapply moisturizer.

After using the products for almost a month I'm so excited about the Vita-Rich range. The soap smells amazing and gives a super clean hydrated feeling. The body wash also left me feeling super clean, smelling delicious and with super soft skin.

The body moisturizer is amazing it absorbed fast, hydrated my skin all day and left my skin feeling soft. My skin usually gets super dry in winter and peels I've used the moisturizers on dry patches and I must say the peeling has subsided. Which is really impressive.
My favorite range which I saw results with was the brightening pomegranate range not only did it leave my skin soft and hydrated but it gave me a radiant glow which is major goals.

I threw one of these into my trolley last week whilst shopping , at R20 a bottle I was shocked so why not ?
This is my current obsession since purchasing it, the pomegranate essence is so beautiful , it completely invigorates me and helps me wake up in the mornings especially with the cold winter mornings it really helps awaken the senses .

The body wash leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth and nourished , you still have to moisturize afterwards however it did not dry out my skin like most body washes tend to do.

Overall this is an economical good quality product that is sure to keep you happy .

As Winter blooms into Spring, our skin's needs elicit moisturisers as the holy grail of skin care. For me personally, the transition from season to season renders my skin dry and uneven. Also, with my harsh working conditions (engineering and construction), I am often left with parched irritated skin. Having Indian skin, i am very prone to dullness and dark marks as well, more so on my body than on my face so I was really excited to test out this range.

The new Johnson's Vita Rich range is made with skin loving, natural ingredients that each provide your skin with different beauty benefits. Enriched with vitamin C as well essential fatty acids to smooth, brighten and hydrate, this Vita Rich range offers a gentle formula blended with fruit extracts and glycerin to leave your skin nurtured and looking noticeably radiant and healthier.

I opted for the body washes as opposed to the soap as soaps tend to leave my skin dryer and uncomfortable. Initially, I was immediately drawn to the fresh fruity fragrances of this range that seem to last all day long. What I have also noticed is that a tiny amount of body wash gives a rich and long lasting lather that does not leave any discomfort or dryness once washed off but rather, a supple hydration. For someone such as myself who has to be at work at 7am daily, a multi tasking product like this is perfect!

The body lotions smell equally alluring with the Pomegranate being my favourite. These lotions have a gel creme texture that absorbs quickly and easily into skin and leaves a refreshing aroma with glowing effect. I felt a deeply layered hydration that enhanced my olive skin glow and left me dewy for the course of the day. In winter i normally tend to use body oils as body lotions do not suffice, however i was pleasantly surprised with this range.

Really impressed with these products and looking forward to making the range a solid part of my routine.

Absolutely love the soap, body wash and body lotion in the Pomegranate Flower Extract variety from Johnsons! It smells divine and the soap and body wash lather well and don't dry out your skin. The soap is delicate enough to use on your face too. The body lotion absorbs well and doesn't leave a sticky residue! Really fantastic range of products!
