Jean Paul Gaultier is a French fashion designer who also has a number of fragrances under his label. The fragrances are world famous for their strange but feminine scents and distinctive bottle shapes. He makes these in collaboration with Puig Company and they are manufactured by Beauté Prestige International.
The first Jean Paul Gaultier fragrance was released in 1993 and was called Classique. It was described as being a floral oriental fragrance. Other fragrances for women and men followed from there and today there are over 70 fragrances from the Gaultier brand.
In 2005, the first Jean Paul Gaultier unisex fragrance was released. It was called Gaultier2 (Gaultier to the power of two). The latest fragrance from the brand is Gaultier Ma Dame, which is a women’s fragrance.
The bottle shape and packaging is very distinct. The bottle design is that a human torso. The male version has a man’s torso, while the female version has a woman’s torso. Also, some of the earlier made fragrances come in a tin shaped package.
