GHD IV Styler

I got my GHD in 2010 and this thing is still going strong! This purchase was my first straightening styler and I can say it was money well spent. It is expensive but surely worth the money.
I love that this product heats up really quickly and gives a shiny finish to my hair and also the fact that it has a swivel cord! The swivel cord can move around in 360 degrees and I love this.

I would recommend this to any one. Just use a good heat defence product with styling your hair.

This is a birthday gift from 5 years ago and is still going strong . I got the thick late as I feel it's better to handle than the thinner plates.

5 years ago this cost R2200 and I would buy it again in a heart beat.
The styler heats quickly and leaves hair looking straight and effortless.
You can make curls and waves with it.

For me the biggest thing is that it works like a charm and it is money well spent .
the fact that it is still going strong so many years later proves that it is definitely a good product .

It doesn't dry out or damage my hair. I feel when I set my hair with this my set lasts much longer than when using other heat stylers .
Can't go anywhere without this love it to bits .

It heats up very quickly
It is very light-weight and therefore easy to handle.
Love that the cord is long enabling freer movement.
I can enjoy peace of mind because of the clever feature where the styler will go into sleep mode after 30minutes of being on but stationary.
More peace of mind since it comes with an authenticity check and a two year warranty (upon quick and easy registeration).
You only need a two point plug, not specifically the round two point plug.

its the best hair straightener i have ever used and its great quality product and ghd support it amazing. this was a great model , i normally sell mine every 2 years and buy a new updated one so iv tried a few of them and they do get better and better :)

To be honest, I used a GHD from the time I was 13 till I was 18 and yes it made my hair look amazingly sleek and shiny but it also did a lot of damage to my hair as well. I will admit it is an amazing straightner. But needs a lot of heat protectant spray!

I had a straight hair and after i had hair rebound some part of my hair get dry & frizzy...so hubby surprise me by buying GHD styler with heat protector spray, I'm not that exited because i know how expensive it is, even if i heard how girls love GHD here in SA, but when I started to try it I really like it, I can style my hair and hide all the frizzy and my hair looks shiny, smooth & sleek....It's worth it.

It give me straight or curly hair on demand and even started a little business doing the girls hair for functions at varsity res.

The pricing is ridiculous yes,but well worth it! Just by doing peoples hair I made back my R1900 in less than 2 months!
Its definitely the last flat iron/curling apparatus you will ever need and once purchased I am sure you will never part with it like I do.

I bought this styler 2 years ago at a beauty salon for R1900. I started working that year so I thought I would spoil myself. Since I have very staight hair already, I bought the GHD to curl my hair instead. Weird, but I did and I don't regret it one bit because its keeps the curls in all day (till I wash it).

I had wanted a ghd for such a long time, but they are so costly. However my boyfriend got this at a bargain price for me a while back. And it has been a life saver at times when my hair is having a bad hair day :P

It has been a lot of fun using this ghd. I can style my hair so many different ways and it doesn't take a long time to do so.

I recieved my GHD for my 30th birthday from my friends and family and it has been one of those gifts that keep on giving!!

Fantastic for ironing hair but my hair wont curl

I have curly hair and I hate it. It looks nice and naturally curly for the first 30mins after drying and then it starts fizzing. My head starts looking like a birds nest.
I've wanted a GHD for years but always though that the price tag was a bit steep and besides I did have a 'normal straightner'.
A month ago it was my birthday and my boyfriend didn't know what to get me so when he asked I vaguely replied: "I've always wanted a GHD" and being the sweety he is - he got me one.
Since receiving it I use it 4-5 days out of the 7 day week.
